I'm actually suprised to see the Xbox suddenly went number 1

Welcome to The EscapistPado said:Buy a PS3 now, xbox next year when they release their new one and get a wii in 2011 hopefully with HD.
Or a PC if you have lots of cash.
This. I completely agree because what I've seen is that PS3 exclusives are very much graphically orientated while PC and/or Xbox exclusives seem to be more gameplay orientatedbcponpcp27 said:360 hands down. I own all three, and I can say without a doubt that the 360 is the best. Not only is it cheaper, it has way more good games than either the wii or ps3. Sure, LIVE does cost money, but it's totally worth it.
When I say you get what you pay for, I don't mean which has a higher price, I literally mean you are getting WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR. In the 360, you pay for it to play games, and a little bit of that purchase price goes to its ability to play DVDs. For a PS3, you pay significantly less for its gaming abilities, because you are shelling out most of its huge price tag for its ability to play Blu-Ray movies that almost nobody buys.Clashero said:A damn good console that bricks itself half the time?danpascooch said:Unless the PS3 has some hit new game called "We don't have any exclusive games" I don't think they have any good unique franchisesClashero said:If money isn't a problem (I'm guessing it's not, since you can afford any console), I'd always go for upgrading your PC.
If you must have a console, then the PS3 is my favourite. Reliable, free online play, very ergonomic and comfortable controllers, better exclusive games.
Especially since Final Fantasy is now coming to 360 too
Go for 360, you get what you pay for, and xbox live is SO much better than PS3 online, with a PS3, you're mostly paying for a Blu-Ray player that you'll probably never use, with the 360, you're actually paying for a GAME console, a damn good one at that
Also, you get what you pay for... doesn't the 360 cost less than the PS3? That's like openly admitting it's inferior.
Exclusives for the PS3 (just to name the really popular ones or the ones I really like)
Demon's Souls, FF Vs XIII, God of War, Gran Turismo, Heavy Rain, Heavenly Sword, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Siren, Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles, etc. versus, what, Gears of War and Halo? Both of those games are so derivative that I might as well play Doom.
Really? Name 5 good Xbox games, and I dare you not to use the word Halo. The console was carried by Halo and GoW, and any console that relies on 3 or 4 games is not "the best in every way". Yeah I guess it had online, but it was online for the same fucking 3 or 4 games. To be honest if I want to play online I use a PC. (Read: Mods, Mouse/Keyboard, vent, less 10 year olds...). Oh, and you don't need online to play a game FYI, not that you'd admit that of course since you're apparently a Microsoft fanboy (ironically you've probably crucified Sony before in posts criticizing their *free* online).Fredrick2003 said:You didn't address how AWESOME Playstation 2's online play was. It sucked, face it, this isn't even debateable. I use "suck" the past tense because VERY few online Playstation 2 games are still up, while nearly all of the Xbox games are still running. What good is a game if I can't play it?Irishhoodlum said:Yeah, and then compare the game libraries. I think your fanboy denial is showing, because while PS3 vs 360 is still relatively debatable, PS2 vs Xbox is a hands down PS2 win in about 1900 ways, and no that is not debatable. I mean seriously "too awesome for the general population to take in at once?" Yeah, because obviously only a select few XboxFredrick2003 said:Xbox 360 is the way to go this generation.
Xbox was the way to go the previous generation as well but I guess it was just too awesome for the general population to take in at once (seriously, compare Xbox and Playstation 2 online support).fanboysfans were able to see it right? Not the conceded masses making up the 150 million customers of PS2s, right?
The Xbox was superior in every way, there is nothing "fanboy" about it, the more shit something is the more money it will make (see also: Transformers 2).
