Taste because its not essential to survival and i would not miss tasting food as much as seeing, hearing, touching and smelling.

Defiantly smell, because I could function perfectly fine without it. The same goes for taste, but I think I would miss that too much.

It'd be smell (I can't smell too good anyway lately - bloody hayfever) with touch in at second. Maybe taste second... I dunno, but definitely would rather lose smell than touch or taste.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say sight. It's the only one I can see myself living without.
...
No pun intended...

I really would have preferred to lose smell, but it would be a safety hazard. Imagine not smelling smoke in your sleep when the fire alarm dies.

Taste seems to have the least practical use these days, so I'll go with that. In fact, having no sense of taste would probably be beneficial, because it would allow me to eat tofu more often, which I can never manage to cook properly.

Definitely sight. I could still judge distance or whatever with the other senses, and there's no way in HELL that I'd give up music.

Taste. Its the less useful I think as I can't think of anything I would miss if I lost it.
Chocolate? Pizza? Meatballs?

I'd get rid of smell. You rarely smell things anyways.
Eating food isn't a big deal for me so taste doesn't bother me. Plus if I couldn'/t taste anything I would just be able to eat super healthy stuff all the time.

What about Pain/Hunger/Thirst/Balence.
All of those, except for balance, are feelings. And balance is related to hearing. Although not directly affected by it.
At least Wikipedia and QI agree with me.

Ah yes, wikipedia, an unquestionable source of information.

OT: Seriously, why aren't more people giving up taste?
And QI which has a team of investigators.

Yes because your general knowledge is infalliable.

Smell.

It stopped working during childhood, came back about a few years ago.

Plus it's not really needed in a zombie apocolypse.

I would lose Taste because Smell is more defined than taste.

People who voted hearing, touch and sight...I think you are taking for granted the best things about the human body.

Losing Touch? really? Who would want that? Sure you cant feel pain but the only reason we DO feel pain is to let our brain know that there is an injury somewhere that needs to be fixed. If you lost your sense of touch you would either have to be extremely careful or I don't think you would live very long due to infection, disease, sickness that you cannot feel cos you have no sense of touch.

I would find it extremely hard to live without sight or hearing...its livable but the amount of stuff you miss is just extraordinary.

Taste or Smell are senses we can live without. Although I would still much rather HAVE them.

Smell. I lived essentially without smell for several years. I could go back to that easily, as even now, my ability to smell things is relatively weak.

touch or taste, with taste i would be able to eat healthy no matter how bad the shit tasted, so i would be a healthy machine, but then again if i didnt have touch feelings i wouldn't feel pain and stuff probably

Probably hearing. I already have a really good sense of smell, I guess it would suck to lose that.

Might go with taste. But Ideally I'd like to keep all my senses :p

I was tempted to go with Smell, because it's probably the sense I use least. In the end I went with taste because then at least I could start eating all the healthy things I should be eating without the issue of it tasting god-awfull.
