Pessimisim is just honesty given a bad press.
No, pessimism is the cowardly way out of emotional involvement in anything.

As you can probably tell, I'm an optimist, character flaw/strength it may be...
I never said I don't put emotion into what I do, I just expect things to go wrong.

As others have said, I'm realistic. Which many view as being a Pessimist.
Basically this, although I'm really a strange mix of both as I don't worry about all of the bad things that are going to happen to me. *shrug* I'm just going off what my friends tell me. Ok, what my one friend tells me. Ok fine! It's what the voice inside my head tells me. Don't judge me!

Going into life, expecting most things expecting them to fail contributes greatly into them failing.
Pessimists who do nothing but moan about how everything is bad and the world is doomed need to die. As the old saying goes, "If you're not part of the solution, you're a part of the problem."

I am neither. My outlook is neither sour nor sweet; it merely is. In this great story that is life, I am neither a hero nor a villain, nor am I an extra; I am an audience member. I watch, neither happy nor sad about the way things go; they simply are. But, if forced to define myself, I live by the motto seen on my page, and this sentiment:

"...Well, you could always be dead."

I'm an optimist, not sure why though cuz I also consider myself a realist. Is it possible to be an optimistic realist?

I'm neither, I think to be purely optimistic is naive and to be purely pessimistic is unhealthy.

Erm, I'd have to disagree there. Even though I'd consider myself more of a realist then a pessimist, I have quite a few optimistic tendencies and am incredibly passionate. I have many opinions (as anyone who'se read any of my tl;dr posts has figured out by now) and wear my emotions on my sleeve. Does being a pessimist/realist deminish that? I don't feel like it does. *shrug*

Pessimist. I've thrown up before because I thought something huge was going to fail in the worst way possible, I actually felt like that last night.

Do I only have only those two choices........Can I be both,or Pessimistic when I'm mad
And Optimistic when I'm Happy....

Well if I have to chose between those two...(serious thought).... I would have to say NETHER.
I'm MY OWN KIND OF PERSON CALLED A-Pessimistic-and-Optimistic-person-when-he-fells-like-it,or A.P.A.O.P.W.H.F.L.I.
You know now that I think of it that doesn't exactly role off the tongue.......Just call me a realist.
