Sean Connery - sure, the character of James Bond originated in the novels of Ian Fleming, but the IMAGE of James Bond, and everything we've come to expect of him - that suave, yet sophisticated aura, that unmatched wit; that was ALL Sean Connery, and every actor after him is following in his footsteps - sure, they might add their own little things here and there, but trying to play James Bond without taking a page out of Sean Connery's book is suicide. He also has the two best James Bond Movies, with "From Russia with Love", and "Goldfinger".

Furthermore, I strongly dislike people who give Daniel Craig such a bad rap - I personally think he did a fantastic job with the character, and "Casino Royale" is one of my favourite Bond movies; If anyone is to be criticised for his performance of Bond, it should be Roger Moore and his irritatingly aloof and comical approach to the character in his later movies, particularly "Octopussy" and "A View to a Kill"; What the fuck does "A View to a Kill" even mean??

Dundededundun, dundundundundededundun, toodoodoodoodooo, toododoooo!

I'd turn gay for that. It's been too long since I've seen a Connery Bond flick, I want one now!

Brosnan is my second best, I grew up with him.

Sean Connery of course, I find the older movies better than some of the newer ones, that's not to say Quantum of Solace or Casino Royale weren't great films.

I love Timothy Dalton for some reason.

Everyone else seems to hate him though.

Brosnan, yeah.
Craig fucking sucks, they should replace his ass.
What's wrong with Craig? Too serious? Too blond?

Anyways, either Connery or Craig for me. I only voted Craig because I know everyone else will spring for Connery.
Same here. I totally love this guy! I mean i guess....he is kinda closer to my generation so thats why i love him.

I dunno, Connery was awesome, but Moore was awesome in a different way. Also, Goldeneye was fantastic. Didn't like Casino Royale, the sheer amount of card games made it play like an episode of YuGiOh and Quantum of Solace is just... I don't know... I can't really quantify ;) what's wrong with it.

Sean Connery, then Roger Moore.

Nobody else comes close.

Just wanted to add that I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks Goldeneye was great. In my opinion it was the best Bond movie ever made, and the ONLY Bond movie that can be taken even slightly seriously with regard to the narrative. That said, I never felt Brosnan was an effective Bond because he doesn't look like a secret agent, he looks like an underwear model (or he did at the time of the filming of Goldeneye). He would be one of the worst ever people at blending into a crowd.
