Considering the fact that everything that once made America worth fighting for is gone and the rules layed down by our founding fathers that were specifically designed NOT to be distorted are being distorted, no. For my family and people I love, yes.
"Hey, this amendment written by the founding fathers of our country says we have the right to bear arms! Let's black it out with a sharpie and make owning arms illegal!"
Also, about this, if they do make it illegal to have weapons, criminals willcstill buy weapons and innocent civillians won't have weapons to protect themselves with. Isn't this country looking forward to greatness?

I find it funny that all these people who say no, assume that they and or their loved ones would be left out of the war and live normally. You all need to stop assuming life is like video games, people are not penalized for killing civilians in a full scale war, total war is just that, total. They will bomb cities, towns, industrial zones, they will round up non-combatants, put you in camps, or just kill you. One thing is for certain, you sure as hell won't be living as you live now. You remain a threat and an enemy to them, so in effect your best chance of living and living happily is to have your country, whether you like it or not, win the war.

I'm not a big fan of my country, nor dying horribly, so I'm gonna go with "heck no"... unless I'm guaranteed a cosy spot in heaven.

Countries are wrong. I would die for humanity, but not for some entity that serves the purpose of dividing humanity.

I'd much rather live for my country.

This is just the sort of thinking that resulted in tens of thousands being slaughtered in the mud at the Somme or the Marne.

If it came to it, though... really came to it...

I would much rather help some poor dumb bastard die for his.

My own country could be invaded easily. But held?

Not without tens of thousands of troops flooding the country on a long term basis.

Guerrilla warfare is a sort of tradition on this island.

And no, I don't mean as regards to the Northern conflict- that was just violence and hatred.

It depends (which should be an option) if they were invading, and I could save over 5 lives by sacrificing my own, yes, but I need to know that what I'm sacrificing myself for makes a difference, if I'm unarmed and a bunch of people invade, I'm not going to run at them with the jagged edge of a broken beer bottle just to be shot down.

I wouldn't dodge the draft if that's what you're asking. I'd try to avoid dieing given the option.

If was not willing to put my ass on the line for my country I would be going into the wrong line of work. That being said though, I have no intention of dieing for my country, a body in a box doesn't do us any good does it?

No, nothing is worth dying for. What good is doing anything if you're not around to appreciate the outcome?

Not even that.

The only thing I can think off that are worth dying for are my principles

Depends on my mood and what enemy we are fighting.

Right now I'll say yes though, if only to get a chance to fight.

I have already made my mind up and have been ready to die if need be though it does get harder to think that I would have to die for some of the dipshits that live there.

No, because that wouldn't help anyone. As Patton said, it isn't dying for your country that matters, it's making the other poor son of a ***** die for his.

Would I be willing to pick up arms to fight that other poor son of a *****? Yes.
This

I voted yes, for the people here. I would however aim to live as much as possible so I would rather fight, survive, live to fight another day, etc. for my country; dying would be the last option.
