You make a very good point. But, even if they didn't know what exactly was going on, they were fighting to protect the Nazi's and they were killing enemies of the Nazi's, even if they didn't fully support the reasonsWrongSprite said:

Considering i don't care which character i am, yes i would play as a GERMAN. I'm sick if hearing that forsaken word "Nazi". Funny how that word was once unspeakable and now used all the time. To be honest im disgusted with people for using that term and also for the fact that we still seem to judge Germany as being a bad country. Urgh!
As far as im concerned, depending on the game and the mission/task, i don't mind if i was french, spanish or anything else. After all, a human is a human.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valour has a campaign where you play on the Nazi side and it wasn't exactly hard to come up with a story for it. Just a couple of soldiers trying to stay alive so they can get back home to their families.

I would actually, I would definitely like to see what things were like on the other side of the war. Since, to tell you the truth, I'm a little tired of seeing the perspective of the Allies.
It's a little like "Ok, we won, I get it. Can I see what things were like over there now?"
