oooh ill add azumanga to my list.

Azumanga Diaoh - Comedy 3 stars. can get really old. i never could finish it.

Seasons? There are only 36 episodes. I liked the ending even though I did root for the other guy.

Ok let me rephrase that then. after they introduced Misa it went down hill for me. Have you ever rooted for a person to die that much well I sure as hell did. She came so close to dieing so many times but never did. I called is a different season because they had a different intro once I stopped watching.

Higurashi - im undecided on... i made it through the first season.. but i was pretty dissapointed that they hadnt really made any progress. one character has some idea whats going on.. thats it. i havent bothered with the second season yet. not sure if i will.

They explain everything and progress is made in the second season, which, in my opinion, detrackts from the whole series.

Giant Robot- Gundam Wing( Neon Genesis Evangelion maybe be a bit too....weird.)
Romance- Fruits Basket(Honestly I'm not good with recommending romance series since I don't watch many)

Haha, she appears in the 3/12 in the manga so that would be a swift kill for you. She's obnoxious, she's a model but not even that pretty, and I like her. Why I like her is a bit difficult to explain. The reason why I like Misa is because this is how a fan girl would react around Light. I like seeing Light shrug her off. My interpretation is that the the show's giving them and all the entertainment that wants to create a love interest side plot a giant middle finger. The show could have used a better character but as far as comic relief goes, I think she's alright. I hope that makes sense.

Gurren Lagann. The Funimation version of One Piece. Seriously. Not the horrible 4Kids version.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the difference?

Well, in the 4Kids version they have ridiculous edits. They cut two entire story arcs. One of which basically explains how the Strawhat Pirates find a special compass that allows them to navigate through the crazy One Piece world.
They remove deaths necessary for character development.
They edit guns to look like supersoakers.
They cut out all blood and fight scenes are heavily edited. One that comes to mind is Luffy's battle with Don Krieg. In the original version, Krieg fires poison darts at Luffy. They edited it to make it "poison suction cups." How someone can be poisoned by suction cups is beyond me. For a shonen series that pretty much castrates it, since shonen basically means awesome fighting.
Inappropriate music at inappropriate times.
Horrible voice acting and dialogue.
Changing personalities of characters to make them funnier.
That was a bit of a rant. There are videos on youtube detailing the difference between the two versions.
Basically the Funimation version leaves everything intact.

I think that might have been the point. Light only wanted to use her to accomplish his own goals. He didn't really care about her.

I think that might have been the point. Light only wanted to use her to accomplish his own goals. He didn't really care about her.

I thought she was just there for comic-relief. Also, why did they have to go and make a death metal theme song?

I second every single one of these, especially Yu Yu Hakusho. The only one I can't recommend is the last one, but that is only because I haven't seen it, and as such, cannot form an opinion on it.

Yeah, if you ever do get a chance to watch the good version of One Piece I would recommend that you do. It used to be on Toonami, but we all know how that turned out.

As per my contract, signed with ink mixed from my own blood and the tears I shed at volumes 6, 10, and 12, I must strongly recommend the Fruits Basket manga over the anime.

Depending on your taste, you might like Death Note or Bleach, but you should definately try out Cowboy Bepop. Tis' a bitchin' show.
