Return of the Cat, I think it was called, was FUCKING EPIC. :D
"The Cat Returns" (as in "returns a favor" - little language nuance lost in translation) is really good. Not my favorite, but still really good.

I haven't noticed My Neighbor Totoro or Ponyo being mentioned much (outside of the general Ghibli label.) Both of those movies gave me a buzz when I first watched them - "Wow. Life doesn't suck so much right now. Look at the colors! Taste the air!"

I saw Coraline recently, that was quite enjoyable.

Wallace and Grommitt's antics are pretty funny in a very strange way, Perfect Blue is a delicious little mindscrew, X/1999 and Escaflowne aren't mindblowing but they're worth a watch.

That's all I can think of right now.

EDIT: Well, ninja'd on most counts. Can't say it was unexpected.

Err... pretty sure Coraline was made in Oregon.
Not that it really matters: good movies are good movies.

Spirited away, Princess Mononoke, Toy Story 1, 2 and 3.
Studio Ghibi is always a good choice for animated films.
Disney's classics are also worth it and some from pixar.

I wanted to mention the Wallace & Grommit Rabbit monster movie but I forgot the title, there's just something about the animation that makes it quirky, also it's nice to see someone has watched Perfect Blue

The Cat Returns, thank you very much. :D Yeah those are all pretty epic. I liked Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke as well. Then there are classic western animations like W&G, and a couple of others that are fantastic, too.

Jin-Roh is very good. It shows the political breakdown happening in a post occupation Japan. The riot sequence at the start of the film is fantastic.

Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. I saw it for the first time a few weeks back. I liked it, though I can see how some folks might not really get it.
Other Wallace and Grommit adventures:
A Grand Day Out
The Wrong Trousers
A Close Shave
A Matter of Loaf and Death

I think I liked all of those. I really only remember The Wrong Trousers.

Yay Perfect Blue!

I saw the dead space animated movie on chiler one night, I didnt think it was that bad. It was actually pretty ok. Was tittan a.e. a disney movie? If not thats another one of my mentions. Spirited away too was pretty good. I never have seen any final fantasy movies, but I heard they arent that bad either. How to train your dragon was good which surprised me, I went into the theatre expecting another boring kids movie and came out impressed. I liked the ice age movies too.

And thats all the animated movies I can think of for now.

Iron Giant.
Best. Animated. Movie. Ever.

No competition!
I remember that one, I loved it and even watched it in the cinema.

Also, your avatar is kinda hypnotizing after staring at it a while.

Titan AE, Iron Giant and the Dead Space film.

If you want anime, I recommend watching the Rebuilds of Evangelion, and End of Evangelion if you can tolerate it...

Karas: The Prophecy. Published by Tatsunoko, and can be a bit confusing (especially adding into the mix the sequel movie, and conveniently the movie that actually finishes the story), it's still great. The fights look amazing, and the VA is quite good and is one of the best English dubs I can think of.
It also kind of feels like a slightly Japan-oriented Batman flick, with 100% more kappas, kasa-obake, and other Japan monsters.

Then of course the Hellsing OVA's.
...Need I say more?

I really enjoyed Bakshi's Fire and Ice. I rewatched a few years back just to see if it held up to the nostalgia test, and surprisingly enough it did. Not for the kiddies though. Many of the themes might be difficult to explain to a younger viewer.
