Seriously, all the atrocities they performed(crusades, inquisition, galileo), the utter corruption and decadence of many of the popes(research the Borgia Pope for just a tiny sampling of what went on), the hiding of many scientific breakthroughs to hold humanity back, the manipulation and perversion of the word of christ to cover a priest's disgusting appetite (Suffer the little children, come unto me WAS NOT what Jesus was talking about!).


And there is a former nazi wearing the big hat right now. And he used to be incharge of the department of the church that was known in old times AS THE INQUISITION!

Well, she's in the wrong in my opinion. Not for her religious views, she can belive what she wants, but her way of doing things. If she thinks that comics and games are tools of Satan, then yay for her, but such strong views should be kept out of schools, at least when there isn't an opposite but equally as strong viewpoint. Schools should be unbiased places, while her views are clearly biased.

Now, i'm all for freedom of speech or the right to believe anything you want, but when you think that God told you himself that you should save this school for the evils of entertainment (or should I say enterTAINTment) then you've got to be a little loony. And yes, folks, she did say that. Here are some quotes from her letter the teacher sent out, its part of a 'parents speak' section in the newsletter:

"Kids these days are being controlled by the evil that is contained within the manga and comics. I do not allow my son(Poor guy) to partake in these activities because they take time away from what is truly important - the love of God. Every day I come to pick up my son I see the children absorbed in killing people and reading about the devil. I want to do what I can to help these kids realize the waste of their soul. Together we can overcome this addiction (Apparently to her an addiction is something you somewhat enjoy and have done more than once).

Aaaand here we go again. Someone mentioned the Crusades.

In case you haven't noticed, Catholics DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE. Hell, it's accepted as fact among the faith that the Crusades were a horrific event that never should have happened, just like the Inquisition and the incident with Galileo. And the word of Christ was NEVER manipulated to portray what was done to those kids as acceptable.
