First off when he asks you to sell him the PS3, he is not asking for hate speeches about the PS3 or violent threats (@ inpachi).

Personally I love my PS3 (and my 360 for that matter).
PS3 Exclusives that are awesome:
Infamous (this alone would make me buy a PS3 if I didn't have one)
Killzone 2
Demon Souls
Uncharted 2
Valkyria Chronicles
Metal Gear Solid 4
Warhawk (great multiplayer game my friends and I love)
Ratchet and Clank Games

It has free internet and it is a Blu-Ray Player which is really nice. If you are lucky to find one, I'd recommend one of the older backwards compatible ones (I found a 60gb one with Hardware Emulation and I have to say I think this is the best version of PS3)

I've got both and I prefer the PS3 without a doubt because it's compatible with Vuze so I can stream all my stuff to my big tele downstairs rather than have to peer at my computer monitor for two hours when I'm watching a film.

Is there a jump button in that game ;-)
Don't need one. When you're cluttered down with 50+ pounds, the last thing you'd want to do is jump. Plus, the enemies are easily as big/bigger (Save for the wolfs) than you, ergo, jumping is pretty moot. :D

Oh, how i hate when thread is cluttered with pointless quotations. And i hate it even more when someone manages to mess up the tags. Especially if it's a troll.

So anyway. Three words: Ratchet And Clank. One and only console game series that actually managed not only to grab my attention, but to make me fall in love with it on the first sight.
I still need to get A Crack In Time.
How is it compared to Tools Of Destruction?
Easily as good. Trust me: You're going to like it, especially if you liked ToD.
The jump button comment was just a joke for the benefit of imahobbit4062 :)

If I didn't already have a PS3 (mine is backwards compatable, YAY ME), I'd get one just so I could play Heavy Rain. That game actually looks that good.

Uncharted 2...enough said...but, just in case it wasn't enough, I'll list a couple of other things.
inFamous (This game is one of my favorites of 2009)
Demon's Souls (Haven't played it yet, but I have heard a lot of good things about it)
Killzone 2 (If you like shooters then you owe it to yourself to play this game. It is a nice change of pace from MW2)
Blu-Ray Player (If you do not have one already then this is probably your best option)
God of War 3
The fact is, Unchared 2 was a decent, hell, a great, game, but not enough to sell a console by itself. I'd give it 8.5 to 9 out of 10, and it stand as a good action game, but the final boss fight alone is laughable enough to not make it perfect.
Haven't actually played inFamous
Demon's Souls is a great game, but not for the average gamer
KZ2 was an overly generic shooter, I'd give it 6.5 to 7 out of 10.
Blu-Ray is nice
God Of War 3 is also decent, but I wasnt overly impressed by the demo.

I don't have one to sell.
Then don't post in the thread.

Ratchet and Clank.

That's just about all of the reason you need for it. That very game is tempting me to get the PS3 just for it.
I can't post it, I DON'T HAVE ONE!

Well, 2 games that sealed the deal for me when I got my PS3 were MAG and ModNation Racers
Seriously, I can't wait for ModNation Racers!

They were overrated because they were giving very high scores, when they shouldnt have.
I'd have to claim that the same can be said of most 360 exclusives.

OP: If your interested in adventure games, get one of the original PS3's that has full BC. The fact is, this generation of gaming seems to be giving the middle finger to adventure games, but the PS2 has you covered. Though, The Last Guardian could likely be painted as an adventure game, so that could be a deciding factor. I noticed you like Tekken 6, do you ever use the directional pad? I know when I play fighting games I do, it feels more precise to me. Well, if you do use the D-pad then getting Tekken 6 for the PS3 is probably a better idea than getting it for the 360(though from what I've heard apparently getting it for the PSP is better than both of those). As far as the RPG thing goes. If you're into your generic RPG, you can get that on the 360 with plenty of games. However, if you want something punishing that it will take you a good long while to conquer(if your into that whole, it's more difficult so I get a sense of achievement thing) go get a ps3 and get Demon's Souls day 1. You also have the prospect of White Knight Chronicles for a good JRPG that is exclusive to the PS3.

I would tell you about the other exclusives like Uncharted 2 and the Insomniac games, but you didn't indicate that you really cared for FPS/TPS.

The Playstation 3 is a good console and will continue to have a good shelf-life, (if it keeps on getting cheaper, and keeps hauling in the exclusives).
The online features are a little haphazard, but in general its a good choice.
The PS3 can play blue-ray discs, the 360 can't. If you are interested in blue-ray and large disc space, then the PS3 gets brownie points.

For that reason the PS3 will not be my platform of choice this year, (I already have one, and a 360, but I'm not going to buy games for the PS3 this year, (except maybe one or two exclusives)).
I am getting the most out of my 360 while its still around. Its the exact reason I have an xbox (the old one) in my university room and not a PS2.

The PS2 is very popular, even today, and the ol' xbox has faded quite a lot from public face.
Now, the best games on the PS2 can still fetch very high prices pre-owned still, but the advantage of having the xbox, is that the games are generally very cheap, (barring the rare games, and the cult classics (e.g. the bioware trio)).

I got A nice sizable xbox collection spanning over 40-50 games, for the exchange of about 3-5 ps3/360 games.
Even though I am no graphics whore, alot of the xbox games still look good by todays standards, (especially Team Ninja games and Panzer Dragoon Orta). (Some companies need to realise its not always about the hardware. Good design and use stylistic techniques can make a game stand out so much more! (Look at how nice Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix looks))

In a couple of years time, there may be an xbox successor. The PS3 may still be going stong, so the 360 games might get quite cheap, and that is when I strike! (XD)

It would be a much easier sale for me if this Torne thing gets released in the states.

Because FFXIII is going to suck on 360. I own both and just trust me on this. FF13 is going to be much, much, MUCH worse on PS3.
Also inFamous and Uncharted 2.

PS3 is more reliable than the 360, with more genuine exclusives and a great media centre.

Unless you absolutely LOVE Blu-Ray, save your money.
And also want to miss out on HD gaming, easy internet access, easy media streaming (either wirelessly or from USB), Resistance 1 & 2, Motorstorm 1 & 2, Wipeout HD + Fury, Killzone 2 and a bunch of other exclusives which you have to own a PS3 to play and aren't on PC.
Well he already has an Xbox, and it's far easier to get on the internet with a PC, IMO. If your that bored where you don't want to leave a single position and go to your PC, your way too lazy.

You realize this is a real person with a real $500. Do you honestly think his life will be complete because of a PS3, even though he already has mostly every console?
