I think the time has come where games are sick of being society's punching bag. Sick of being blamed for everything from kids hitting each other to violent rape and murder. Games like Duke Nukem Forever are saying "fuck it, you're going to beat on us anyway we at least want to get some fun out of it."
Over-the-top violence, ridiculous chauvenism and sexism, blood, gore and explosions, toilet humour... Duke is satirising all these things people are blaming games for anyway. I'm surprised people like Knox don't catch on a little quicker.

I just don't get how people can take duke nukem so seriously. It's a comedy FPS.
Furthermore I think the petition acctually belittles men. It implies we're unable to differentiate between a comedic context in a game and real life.
I'm aware there are abusive partners out there, but there have to be underlieing issues beforehand, no game will immediately cause a husband to start beating his spouse with no other cause. Gameing is not your scapegoat anymore.
The game may be childish as a whole but don't burn it at the stake for promoteing violence against women when it doesn't do anything of the sort.
And as for the part of the game that started all this. It's not really violence, it's a playful slap on the ass. Yes it's childish, but violent? No.

On another note, pornography is much worse than a playful comedic game such as Duke Nukem, and plenty of minors have watched it. But these feminists either have not even considered that, or stopped trying to blame porn for corrupting the minds of the youth.

Am I the first person to point out that we haven't even seen footage of this mode and don't know how realistic or believable it is? As far as we know, the babe enjoys it and screams with pleasure so that you do it more, which does happen in real life scenarios.
