I remember my first chainsaw bisection in GoW. My friend had brought it round and I was eager to test the melee on the Lancer. I ploughed straight through a load of Locust, picked my victim, and ripped him in two, screaming at the screen for no reason at all. I still have no idea why I did that.TinyToaster said:I get more satisfaction out of cutting someone in half with my lancer bayonet
This. It comes down to profit and The Sims will always make a shitload of it. Sure, gamers well-versed in the industry won't bother with a game that doesn't really offer anything new (and I'd argue even for them). But anyone who has no idea about it? Sold.GIRLS LIKE THE SIMS.
It does get a little more flack than it really deserves. It was an intelligent and well-executed concept. It's not really up to par with, you know, proper video games, but it's not awful. I myself have enjoyed it... just not for more than a few hours. Still, even for me, it was a nice break from killing everything in sight and saving the universe.I like The Sims, I don't know why everyone hates it
Okay. That's it. I shall stop posting. People obviously don't understand me.Altorin said:GIRLS LIKE THE SIMS.
It's pretty elementary. We've known it for years. Girls like the Sims, for the same reason they like dolls, and why the ones who like MMOs like MMOs.. (.....)

-Yes, the personality thing is one. Instead of changing dials you choose traits for your Sims, like moron or kiss ass (ok, maybe not thoughts two).
-Constant open world, everyone doing everything at the same time in one huge neighborhood.
-Customize individual objects and pieces of furniture.
I'm looking forward to it. I find it pretty two faced that the people who usually say graphics don't matter kick up a fuss when they don't meet their standards. The technology behind a constantly working neighborhood, if it works, is quite a leap for the Sims.
I totally agree with you...I've always been a pretty big fan of the Sims games. I pretty exited about the Sims 3
But whatever,I'm a dude and I'm hyped for the Sims 3. What you going to do?
The thing that bothers me about this: in the previous games, since there wasn't a continuous neighbourhood, you could build up one family at a time and then get them to meet up and be friends (or enemies) as desired. In Sims 3, with the continuous neighbourhood, it sounds like you won't be able to do that any more -- at least not without having to constantly juggle from one family to another.runtheplacered said:Actually, that's not it. The "big thing" this time around is that it'll have seamless neighborhoods.
Yes, that is worth forty dollars.xmetatr0nx said:Well the sims has always been good for sadistic people to live out their strangest fantasies. My friend used to make his sim swim all day and night until it peed itself on the side of the pool and fell asleep in its own wee, he subsequently boxed him in, got rid of all the doors and set fire to the house...is that worth forty dollars?
You know, it would be, if all the character's voice acting, animation and emotional reactions were handled by Rockstar.xmetatr0nx said:Well the sims has always been good for sadistic people to live out their strangest fantasies.
