And I can't tell if you're making fun of me in that last bit. So what if I want a hug?

I'm impressed, the cunning devil who made these videos actually managed to make them slightly creepy, infact more so then any movies that come to mind.

The Slender Man is a psychological fear from childhood. When a young child looks up at an adult they appear long and thin and the face is often hard to distinguish, "its persistent silence and outstretched arms horrified and comforted us at the same time" this is the fear children have of adults whilst still relying on them.
As adults/young adults the fear manifests as a creature even taller than us.

Seeing him walk around like Doc Ock got me to thinking that Slender Man would make a good supervillain. I mean it practically writes itself.

"Joe Slim was a government agent who got caught up in a horrific lab explosion that not only gave him the ability to stretch his limbs, but gave him an appetite for his own species. Some high tech equipment was also caught in the explosion, which resulted in a time portal that sucked Slim back to 15th century Germany. He has lived on for centuries feasting on the flesh of children which he deems unsuitable for future society, and he has since adopted the name of Slender Man. And now he makes his way to to find some more victims, but will instead find himself face to face with <insert name of super-hero>!!"

Just be sure to send me a check, Marvel or DC. (I have too much time on my hands)

Well after watching a few more of the 'marblehornet' videos, it gets pretty shit by #5.
Someone carrying a mannequin dressed in a suit past a window is not creepy in the slightest, that and #6 somewhat ruined the atmosphere.
Shame, was quite good up until then.

Those Marble Hornets videos are awesome. Only watched up to 9 so far but they're creepy.

I don't find this to be all that terrifying. Smile Dog was scarier, if you remember that huge thread about scary stories so long ago.

i'm up to entry 7, this is either the guy posting it doing some good filming, or "Alex" having really planned ahead...of course it could be real.

....or Alex had a stalker
