It's because picking some isolated place on the far side of the map where no one really bothers to go/look and sniping people one by one at a distance is a sure fire a way to get a lot more kills then deaths and therefore obviously makes those people more skilled gamers then the rest of us....Fatalis67 said:Hey guys, I was wondering...
One thing that always bothers me is that about 70% of gamers will go into a shooter and immediately pick the sniper rifles. Every single goddamn time. I really don't understand this as I can't see how something as slow-paced as sitting back and picking off enemies one-by-one from a mile away can be very much fun. So to those of you who use the snipers, what on Earth is so damn appealing about them?

I agree with you, i never get what is fun about that but it seems for some people the fun is in massaging their ego with their statistics rather then in playing the actual game.
