Well, that only took you Ten Years, $350 Billion and about a Hundred Thousand Dead. But hey, as long as he is dead right?

I really wish I could take that stance with you. I really really do. There's thousands of pieces of work about revenge killing but...I would've shot him myself. I would want him to BEG AT MY FEET strip him of all of his dignity, All his humanity. I did not pray for his death but i did hope for it.

I would've sacrificed my humanity for his head.

I predict Republicans will come down with a massive case of shutting-the-fuck-up. You can't really talk shit to a President who took out the guy in, if I'm reading the sequence of events right, a day.
I highly doubt that, Obama did jack-crap. The U.S. military did all the work. Obama just sat there and said, "Hey guys is it okay if I start cutting down on the funds I'm giving you...oh, you need them, well too bad I'm going to do my best to cut them anyway."
Wow, way to sell your credibility up the river man.
You go and sit in your "Obama ruins everything" corner, the rest of us are gonna say how fucking awesome this is.
I'm not saying it isn't awesome that Osama is dead. I'm just pointing out it will be incredibly stupid how people will wrongfully give Obama even a small bit of credit for this.

Obama deserves nothing for this, we need to get him out of office come this election and never look back, and forget about people that want to make crap bills like his, and not vote in anybody else that thinks like him, into office.
Considering he is actually a good president, much better than the likes of Reagan he should stay in office. Also would you have given Bush credit if he was still in office?

Good.

At least some justice was served, something a lot of people in this thread don't seem to understand.

No you're mistake, it's the guy behind the 9/11 attacks
You clearly didn't see what I did there...
Well either you were being sarcastic, in which case i apologize, or you were trying to be serious and make a political point in which case I stand by my earlier correction

Just saying one or two things:

REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT NOW!

Great, he's dead, so now we need our civil liberties back.

This requires de-lurking: PARTAH.

Also don't misunderstand what this means. While optimistic phrases are thrown by media, I don't think anybody but the simply hopeful imagine this is "the end of terrorism" or that tomorrow is seriously going to dawn a new era for America.

This is a morale boost, ten years later after fumbling around and directing our attention on the "wrong target" after the leak of Bush having known where Bin Laden was but turning his attention upon another target and supposed weapons of mass destruction.

Was money spent? Always.

Did people die? Yes. Brave men and women that offered their service for that of their country, to keep Americans safe or as safe as can be done so we can sit at the computer in our quiet homes and type furiously away on gaming forums.

It is still a morale boost, this figurehead, this has meaning for us as an accomplishment and justice to those whom for 10 years have been suffering from the incident and not just gossiping from it. For the soldiers that were executed on film and sent to us, mockingly, by this man that has been caught and killed. For our soldiers this is an accomplishment and a victory finally needed to renew that their country is there for them, safe as they wish it to be, and when they see the footage of how the streets in front of the White House flooded with people waving flags and cheering their lungs out due to their actions? Well, that is what it matters for.

I'd fuss less over whether this solves the war, the issues, because it doesn't. It won't for a while, as terrorism is an idea and not a person nor a solitary country to merely 'bomb out of existence' or intimidate into submission.

Gonna embrace some Carebear'ism and say this is more about the heart, soul and loyalty then it is about a solution to all our magical problems. It isn't going to change your day-to-day life dramatically unless you have a fierce empathy or someone you know is in the military or was lost due to terrorism.

And back to the lurking nest.

Have some cake.

"Pull out"? Pull out of what? You mean pull ourselves out of our imperialistic mindset? HA. I sincerely doubt that.

If we were Imperialist we would never allow the countries to set up their own government we would take them and impose our own government with our own leaders

Why would you want him out of the office he's the best you've had in a very long time. That said, please go to the political part of the forum for further debate. It's there to keep political differences out of normal discussions.
