I wasn't too drawn in emotionally by Gears, but I'll definitely go with anyone who has mentioned Lost Odyssey. Every single story is like an enormous punch to the gut.

Closest I ever came to crying in any of the games I've played was Shadow of the Colossus. Anyone who's played it should know the part.
My little sister cried when Mace Windu died in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Mostly because he got the purple lightsaber, and that was her favorite color. But that's a movie.

That scene made her cry? You need to get yourself a less sensitive girlfriend. If my (theoretical) girlfriend cried over something like that I'd dump her for being a wuss.
lol this was honestly the only time ive ever seen her emotional like that, its not as if its because the scene relates to her personal life in anyway. Ive met her whole family and none of them have been kiddnapped by locusts as of yet :p
You see, my entire family was kidnapped and tortured by subterranean monsters less than a week before I first saw that scene, and it still didn't have an emotional impact on me.
Same, and one of them was torn apart and eaten.

So today i was replaying Gears of War 2, my Girlfriend came downstairs just to insult the game and me lol i had just reached a very sad part of the game (not gonna spoil it you'll know what i mean if you played)and after watching it my Girlfriend Mary proceeded to cry and now plays gears more then me...i found it pretty interesting and i like how games can have an effect like this now on people's emotions
Did her crying turn you on? I ask because it does for alot of guys I heard.

OT: It took playing cod6 online for my girlfriend to bawl, not even kidding.

Good god, she cried in Gears of War?

I wouldn't want her to see the sad scenes of Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy X.

Jesus Christ, man she might go insane with sadness after seeing that.

No offense to her in anyway but I'm glad something got her into games I guess.
The post-credits(at least the voice acting credits) of MGS4 made me cry.

Either she would cry enough to fill an ocean, or my manhood is in question.
The ending of MGS 3 made me cry like a baby.
That's some heavy stuff i'm telling ya'

My dad found it interesting when I was playing assassins creed (the first one) and stuck around to watch while I killed a bunch of guards. I think it's because I told him I was in Jerusalem which got his interest.

Really? But that scene was soo badly characterized. It really didn't fit with anything in the game. When I got to it, I felt about as emotional as a rock, since it just felt shoehorned it.
Me too... I didn't feel sad I felt awkward. Killing killing killing and then suddenly this sad bit comes up as I'm making jokes and popping skulls with my sniper rifle... Gears shouldn't pretend it has a good story, it really doesn't and I'm not playing it for the storyline either I have plenty of other games I could play if I wanted an involving story.

There was a point in Fallout 3 that made me absolutely depressed. It was the point where I realized how much I had played and that it was a percentage of my life because the mass hours. That was pretty emotional.

See this is why videogames are more than just collections of blood and guns. People really ought to see what's beyod all that, for example my sister doesn't like any of the games I play but she always hangs around for the cutscenes as the story of any of my games facinates her.
