Had some teeth taken out when I was younger and had an ingrowing toenail clipped a few years ago but nothing major.

Oh, are we talking about injuries, too? I've had six concussions, the past four with retrograde amnesia. Most of my memory is back, but there are weeks here and there that are probably gone forever. I've broken fingers and toes a number of times, broken my wrist twice (the first time I didn't know it was broken until three weeks later), and had a bunch of stress fractures in my lower body (I ran cross-country and track competitively for 13 years, and you get a grand total of four weeks off a year). Also, I'm as clumsy and accident-prone as they come, so I'm always covered with cuts and bruises. I've been hit by cars, bikes and skateboarders, I've fallen down the stairs, I bang my knees and elbows on things all the time, I shut my fingers in drawers. Also, once while working in a deli, I was cleaning a slicer and managed to cut the back of my finger open in a jagged line across the second knuckle. I needed seven stitches and a brace (I nicked a tendon). My friend once called me "the most eventful person [he] kn[e]w." It's a good description; I'm quite a spectacle.

When it comes to surgeries, I've only had two. I had my wisdom teeth out, and that was a breeze. They put me under, and I only had three for some reason. Also, when I was 17, I had breast reduction surgery because I was ridiculously disproportionate and was having back problems (re: running track). That was awesome. They gave me morphine in the hospital until the anesthesia was out of my system and I could eat something. They sent me home with Percocet, and I wasn't allowed to do any strenuous exercise for a month. Totally worth it, though.

Let's see I'm only gonna list the past three years.

2 Major concussions
what amounted to lash marks on my back
broken arm
two broken fingers
broken noise
cracked tooth that had to be drilled and replaced
and assorted minor injuries that required stitches, one of which was just under my right eyeball
What the heck do you do for a living ? Throw yourself out of trains ?

On subject :

I had surgery and I have learned one important thing : When people cut you open it will always hurt even through a ton of painkillers.
I and my friends always seem to get into bar fights, the lash marks on my back were from when someone broke a pool stick and whipped me with the thinner end

Do you mind me asking why? Or is that too personal? I'm intrigued.
I had two separate torsions. I didn't catch the second one. It had...explosive properties.
my nads just crawled up into my body reading that ... the pain ...

When I was 6 I had an extra set of baby teeth removed, and when I was 8 I had my parotid glands dilated.

I've had a tendon rebuild, removed some bone to create space in there, and removed some.. "odd" stuff which weren't supposted to be in there.
What, the doctor ended up with some parts left over? Sounds like some of my car repair efforts.
No, there was something in there that wasn't supposted to be there. That was what the surgeon removed. Picture attatched!

The one on the right is the oddity, the left one is the same area, only now it's been burned away. The penis looking thing. :p

I win this thread.
They did it because so much pure awesome can not be concentrated in a person, or else the person may explode in awesomeness.

It was for the good of the world, as the cataclysmic implosion brought forth by your awesomeness overwhelming earths gravity, then forming a black hole would suck in the entire galaxy, then explode with such force that the universe is obliterated down to the atom.

That or you know, they mixed up the papers and your tonsils getting removed turns into testicle removal.

I think that would end up hurting my shoulder more than it would make me feel... Happy :)

I?ve had two pieces of bone removed from between my spinal cord and then I had my spine straitened. The first operation was done in preparation for the other. It was figured that the bones where enough of a risk for the second surgery that they should be taken out. After all if something ended up happening with them they wouldn?t be able to get to them anymore after the second surgery due to the rods keeping my spine in place until it fused.

The second surgery was the worst, it was done in two parts and with the first part they went in from the side, took a rib to fuse the bones, moved by organs over and loosened my spine and straitened it a little putting some temporary hardware in. A week later they went in from the back straitened me some more and put the full blown rods in and the crushed up bone. That operation on my side, now that was painful, I can?t even tell you. After all of the operations I was in intensive care for a day or so and then they had me walking another day or so after. I was stiff in pain but nothing the glorious morphine button couldn?t lessen, until they took me off it. Then I had to wait for pills.

Now I sit more comfortably and don?t have the risk of my spine collapsing onto my heart and lungs. The biggest risk with the surgeries was probably paralysis, luckily it didn?t happen and I can still walk about as well as I ever could.

If anyone is interested, these aren?t my x-rays but they look close enough.

A friend of mine went to have his elbow operated, and they operated both of his knees. That's military surgery for you.

O.O

Fuck.... I think I'll go and curl up in the foetal position after I post this.
That must have been.... pretty shitty, to say the least.

I salute your courage sharing that info with us, sir.
