I went to two. First time was suck because my friend that went with me kept trying to guilt me into getting a $40 (US dollar) lap dance from the strippers. Total mood killer, even though I didn't get a moon.

Second time wasn't better. It was with three friends (Including the one from the 1st trip), and this club was different. You sat in front of a stage and the women did two shows, one was them dancing in underwear, the second were they came out naked and were basically pleasuring themselves. And the only way you got a lap-dance is if you went to the front desk and asked for one of the girls specifically.

Didn't have fun for either of them.

Went to one. We sat around drinking beers. Got a strip tease. Nothing to write home about. Just felt dirty. I'm not the type that enjoys those places. Our goal that night was to go to a night club instead. We all agreed the night club sucked and everyone seemed to like the idea of going to a strip club. Majority rules I guess.

On the subject of strippers pay. My brother dated a stripper for a few months and I learnt some depressing facts. She earns on average £200 a week end and the closer it gets to holiday that jumps. 3 weeks ago she had a birthday gig at her bar... She earned over £500 in one night which is more than I earn in the entire month.

Oh and she loves her job as she used to be very negative about her body but having a bunch of men cheering her changed that. I dont go to strip clubs, mostly because I am a student and therefore no monies and my girlfriend would sadly kill me.

My personal opinion is that unless they're forced then a woman or a man should be free to do what they want with their body and shame on the person who tries to get rid of that right.

I felt really weird when I went. My friend got me a private dance and it was very odd. This was a full nude place so tops and bottoms were off for girls. Personally I think its an odd concept, having a vagina 2 inches from your nose and not being able to do anything about it. Personally I'll stick with girls that I can actually touch (and not have to pay).

Sorry i guess we know how to have fun.
Do you think the strippers were having 'fun'? Do you think they feel good about themselves? I mean hey, if you have fun by demeaning and objectifying woman then well theres not much I can say. But really, next time think about how your actions make others feel.
I actually know a stripper and she enjoys it, so your point is null. Is it anymore objectifying then watching major league athletes duke it out? Or reality TV? I don't really see what you have against women getting their birthday suits on, we were all born naked.

Well this sure looks flamey.

As someone who works at a strip club (as a cook/barback!) I must say you people do not know what your talking about AT ALL.

There are very few "professional" strippers where I work, as most of them are just ladies trying to make the next few car payments or whatever. The money they make is shockingly good, and it's actually possible to have intelligent conversation with a pretty good portion of them.

As for the demeaning women thing....get stuffed. They all consider what they do EMPOWERING women, and I really tend to agree with them.

But no, generalizing is easier, so let's just go with that.

B-"Yup, went to one and had fun"

C-"Not my thing"

D- "I hate sharing my porn"

Take your pick.
You forgot E,
E- "-insert argument against A/D"
And F
F- "Insert counter-argument to E"

Dude, they dumped ice down your pants. That doesn't sound like fun to me. By the way, WHY did they dump ice down your pants?
Dude you just don't understand fun like we do. Fun is ice down your pants. Yup.

It was my 22nd bday and my friend thought they would take me to a strip club. It was my first time in a strip club... and it was amazing!

It was just so much fun, what a laugh we had indeed.

There was also a little surprise for me as well because it was my birthday...I was called on stage, tied up & blindfolded, loads of ice was then put down my pants and then my ass was caned and signed with a permanent marker

Anyway, what a laugh that was...

Would you/have you been to a strip club?
Naah but I'm glad that you enjoyed your self! ^_^

But my kind of parties are at home with some friends a couple of beers playing warhammer and then take vodka shots and sing!

Theee hiiiiilllls are alive! With the sound of muusic!

Sounds like an interesting experience. And congrats on the birthday.

I wouldn't really feel comfortable going, out of subjective ethical concerns. While I'm more than happy to believe that many if not most women are there by their own free will, empowering themselves through their liberated sexuality, some will not be there as a first choice, if by choice at all. And how would I tell the difference before putting down the money?

Doesn't mean I have any beef with anyone going there. There's truly nothing objectionable about it (or any kind of voluntary sexual behaviour between adults for that matter), it just strikes me as more of a risk in supporting the (slight) harm of (a minority of vulnerable) others than I'm willing to take, given that I don't think it would really excite or arouse me anyway.

Nothing could be more demeaning to women than not openly recognizing them as being sexual beings as well, so the whole "objectification" angle seems null and void to me. And don't tell me girls have never discussed how "Hot" some guy is, without it ever causing any eyebrows to raise with either gender over this "objectification" of the male body. Wasn't there a time when feminism was about equal rights and respect rather than a 1950's approach to sex?

Yeah, a bunch of women working is disgusting.

Besides, men are paying just to see some tits that they can see on the internet for free. That's a lot more degrading than what the women go through at the job.

Jokes, just jokes. I got that off of a comedian anyway, can't remember his name.

Either way, stripping is just another job. At least they're not hooking.

Well I actually paid a stripper once to give me a shoulder massage.
What a great shoulder massage it was.

Because you don't like the idea that there are women out there who take pleasure in getting paid the big bucks to manipulate people with their feminine wiles while never actually having to put out? All they do is show lots of skin with a no touching policy. These girls are treated well and paid high for something that only social conditioning has told us is 'wrong'.
Thanks for saying this so I didn't have to. You think about the demeaning crap a girl of the same age with no degree and poor quality work experience/no seniority would have to do in a typical job (if she could even find one). I mean, Taco Bell or stripping-which pays more and is easier/less humiliating? The WOMEN are the big manipulators at strip clubs. I mean, all they do is show men something they can see for free on the Internet, and for that men give up money they worked hard all day for. Who is exploiting who?

Yes, there is only one kind of fun and you decide what it is.
A couple of people have said that to him. I kept out of it originally and put it to annoying people reading the post wrong.

But he doesn't say 'there is 1 kind of fun and everyone should enjoy this fantastically fun activity and that there is no other kind of fun in the world so say it the lord your God me.'

He's responding to a demeaning comment that suggests he's a pervert. I think he's allowed to be a little harsh.

He merely noting that you don't have to take every person who go's into a strip club and brand them with the 'perverted and disgusting' branding iron. They were having fun and what they don't want is some two bit hypocrite demanding they flagellate themselves for not taking her antiquated view of the world into consideration.
I know what your saying and I kind of agree but (there always a "but", isn't there?) how can he say "Sorry i guess we know how to have fun." without actually knowing what she does or what she considers fun? Many people on here love reading books and while it my not be classed as fun they really enjoy it, I can only bear it. Some people have oodles of fun at parties, I am bored out of my mind, I am that guy who sits in the corner sipping a coke wanting to go home.

So to say "Sorry i guess we know how to have fun." just comes off as arrogant.

No and I have no desire to do so. Glad to hear your 22 was good though and here's hoping for many more!
