Tommy walked into the lounge from the outside door, covered in drywall dust, for the last week he had been helping with the re-construction effort. The workers appreciated the help, Tommy was quicker than any of their heavy lifting machines, allowing them the work to go faster. Needless to say this was eating into Tommy's sleeping time, and he was showing the results of that.

"So, Garrus what's for breakfast today?" He asked, brushing some dust of his shoulders.

Levi couldn't sleep.

The sounds of construction that had been going on for the last few days didn't help, but ever since Victor was expelled from his mind, his dreams were riddled with nightmares. The intense and brutal battles that took place inside his mind had caused a considerable amount of trauma on Levi's end. As much as his body wanted to rest, his "aching" mind simply wouldn't let him.

Levi had spend the majority of the previous night gazing at his ceiling with a thousand-yard stare, contemplating the vast emptiness he was feeling. Malevolent as he was, Victor was still "part" of his mind. Levi had come to accept that over the years since the accident that had forced the British spirit into his body. Having him forcibly removed was extremely traumatic, and could possibly have been fatal.

The sound of jackhammers pounding away assaulted Levi's ears once more, forcing him to cover his ears for a moment. Giving up all hope of sleeping once more, he groggily stepped out of bed and made his way to his restroom. After splashing some cold water on his face, he gazed into the mirror. A tired, unkempt, and depressed man returned his blank stare.

Levi's eyes were half-open, with gray bags of fatigue clearly visible underneath them. Running a hand along his chin, he could feel the beginnings of a stubble, the result of not shaving for the last three days. In his depressed lethargy, he opted not to shave again. The stubble wasn't too noticeable and he could always do it tomorrow. Levi did, however, at least fix his brown hair, which was messy and sticking up every which way.

After patting down the stubborn hair with some water, Levi left the restroom and changed into one of his more causal outfits for the day: a simple black t-shirt with gray pants with black-white-and-grey flannel pattern shoes. Leaving his still-messy room and locking the door, Levi walked down the hallway into the lounge, his gait and demeanor that of someone who was practically dead. Without saying a word to anyone, he took a cup of coffee and sat down at the table. Although he normally preferred his coffee with an unhealthy amount of sweetener, Levi flat out did not care at the moment. He drank the coffee silently, ignoring the "dirt" flavor.

Taryn stepped out of the shower fully dressed and stepped into a room of plastic. Well, plastic containers. Plastic containers of computer equipment. The good news was that due to a certain mail delivery service and online stores she'd been able to replace almost all of her personal equipment. There were a few items still on back-order and one stuck in customs 'Which is completely unnecessary.' she grumbled silently. The bad news was that when the new equipment arrived she had been left with a lot of superfluous...stuff.

Since the constant, and loud, construction work forced her to wake up early Taryn tried to use the time to be productive. For a week she'd been organizing and rearranging her room. What was once large unlabeled cardboard boxes of scrap now fit into smaller, organized plastic containers. There was still work to do. But her room was actually more organized now that it had been before the...incident with the Union.

Taryn glanced at the clock and her eyebrow raised when she noticed the time. 'Good enough for this morning, time for breakfast.' she decided. Stepping over a box of RAM Taryn made her way to her desk. She brushed her fingers through her still-damp hair as she pulled upon the top drawer with her free hand. From her desk Taryn pulled her netbook, watch, and phone. The phone was clipped to her belt, the netbook was stuck in her back pocket and the watch was velcroed around her wrist.

Deciding to leave her jacket in her room Taryn stepped out into the hall and pulled her door shut. After locking both of her doors she began to walk slowly down the hall toward the lounge. As her thoughts drifted away from her material possessions Taryn frowned. With all of the reconstruction she hadn't been able to see Levi as often as she'd wanted. In addition to her own equipment the Security Room and systems were still being restored. Time. It all took time. Taryn sighed. When Victor had been destroyed she'd hoped to have the man she loved back to normal but...it'd been a week and he was still...apathetic? She wasn't sure how to describe it. She understood that he'd been through a lot. Recovery time was to be expected. Taryn sighed again. 'Time. Maybe he'll be a little better today.' she hoped. Taryn continued to make her way to the lounge area.

Tyson woke up. His internal clock doesn't let him sleep in. He swung out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a shower. He body called out for him to work out but the contents of the gym had been removed in order for repairs to the walls to take place. This meant Tyson had a chunk of time in the morning that he didn't really know what to do with. His throat was still sore from when he reentered his body and it started to bleed.

Tyson got out of the shower, quickly dried himself off, and took a look in the mirror. His face hadn't changed in the past couple of days. The construct wouldn't wake him up so there wasn't any signs of fatigue unlike many of the others, however a look of concern filled his eyes. He hadn't asked what exactly happened after he lost control in Levi's mind and went into a coma for two days following his return to his body.

Tyson walked into his room and put on plain black t-shirt and a pair of black shorts with single thread white stripes that ran vertically down his shorts. Tyson went shopping yesterday to replace his clothing and managed to get everything but a few limited edition shirts back into his wardrobe. Tyson looked at the door. It was a temporary plywood door that was to be used until a new more secure door could be added. Tyson's bed was still the 9/10s mattress and his room lack a desk. All of this was on purpose though. Getting new furniture would only make it a pain in the ass to install a hidden safe in the floor that he requested along with the clean up to follow.

Tyson left his room and walked down the hall towards to lounge. Taryn was in front of him. I wonder how she feels about what happened? Actually, I wonder how ever one feels about what happened? Beyond that I wonder what happened to me back there? Tyson hadn't been able to talk for the past couple days on Doctor's orders so he didn't know much about the other's feelings. Tyson was told that after his attack Steven made another large attack and Levi finished Victor off but he never asked what happened to himself. He didn't want to know, but knew he had to ask sooner or later.

"Aye, sounds like a plan," Rowan answered Garrus before Tommy walked in. Giving the latter a brief wave of hello, he took another sip of his coffee. As he did so, he noted absently that he hadn't gone back to that café yet, to talk to Tyson's friend Erica. Perhaps that would be something he could do. Alternatively, if the Society had free time for the whole day, he could finally get a chance to get a favour from Alex. As others began to pile into the kitchen, he got up from the table to give them space and crossed over to the lounge, setting his cup down on a table.

Katie giggled at Leland's remark, knowing all too well that there was something they could do in a bed that wasn't sleeping. Or, well, trying to sleep, given the noise outside. "Oh, you," she said, giving him a wink as she got up and pulled on her clothes from the night before. "Be back in a bit," she added, stepping through the portal to her plant room.

She quickly picked out a clean outfit of her own - one of the newer outfits; she had gone shopping for a whole new wardrobe on the first day of construction work - and changed into it. Now dressed in a white T-shirt and a skirt of the same colour, she rejoined Leland in his room and gave him a hug from behind, playfully kissing the side of his neck as she did so.

Leland smiled when he felt Katie's signs of affection, turning towards her and lifting her up for a quick hug. "Thanks for that Katie. Sometimes so simple makes you feel so much better; now let's head to the kitchen in case my brother brought anything," he told her after letting her go, opening the door and heading out towards the lounge with her.

"I brought the toaster from home Tommy. We also have butter, jelly, and honey so you can make something out of that. Only white bread though, left the cinnamon-raisin English muffins at home," Garrus replied after pointing to everything for Tommy, adding that they had some coffee too.

"Not much other than that though, we haven't gone grocery shopping for awhile," he added, taking away the fork from Renton who seemed to be preparing to throw it at Tommy.

Levi stared into his half-consumed mug of coffee and shook it around a bit, watching as the liquid swished around in its container. Seeing Taryn out of the corner of his eye, he looked up at her heading his way and forced himself to smile. It wasn't that his feelings for her changed at all (quite the opposite), but it was simply that he was too exhausted, too depressed, too lethargic to do anything but mope around. At this point and time, Levi couldn't see the point to doing anything.

Alex woke up at Masterson Manner next to Richard, Sam purring softly on Richard's chest. They had moved back there during the construction. After she woke up from her 2 day comma every morning she woke up to her head pounding like it was in a vice. "God I really want this pain to just go fuck off." Alex said sitting up and held her head. she rubbed her temples and whimpered softly.

Brian woke up in the early morning. He sat up in bed and gave a stretch, hearing a slight crick in his back. The sun was filtering in through the window. He gave a loud yawn.

"Good morning there, hot stuff," Brian heard from the side. He looked over and saw Kayla standing there in the door frame, a robe wrapped around her. She was holding two steaming cups of coffee, and was soon heading back over to the bed. "Get enough sleep?"

"Enough to appreciate this sight," Brian replied. He took the mug that Kayla presented to him and help it up to his face. "You got the right stuff in here?"

"Milk and two sugars. You told me how you liked it. I'm not an airhead!"

"Just checking, just checking, don't worry." Brian took a sip, letting the hot liquid wash down his throat. "Ah, perfect."

"Thank you," Kayla replied. "So what do we have planned for today?"

"I dunno, I could do this for a while," Brian joked, which only earned him a look from Kayla. "Just kidding, uh well, we could take a little trip downtown, see if the stores have gotten anything new in. That sound better?"

"It does. Tell you what, after this, I'll start getting ready, and we can just make a day of it."

"I think we can do that." Brian leaned in and gave Kayla a quick peck on the lips. "It's a day."

"Awesome." Kayla reached over to the night stand, grabbing the TV remote off its perch. She flipped the TV on and turned it to Sportscenter while the two enjoyed their coffee.

--------------

In the real world, Brian was still laid out cold. He finally got moved off the floor by the Doctor and put into a bed, where he remained for the past week. His body was perfectly fine, the healing process having taken hold the second he got back, but his mind still wasn't right, he still couldn't awaken, and now it was becoming a question of whether he would be able to, or even want to. He certainly couldn't tell at this time.

"Mmm, yes, breakfast could be done sometime soonish," Katie mused, putting one arm around Leland's waist as they walked. "And hey, at least we won't be interrupted by a horde of paparazzi and screaming fans this time... On the other hand, it's freaking loud outside... Maybe we should get away from the Promenade for the day, find something to pass the time. What do you think?"

They reached the lounge together and, seeing that the kitchen already had a few people getting their breakfasts or coffees or whichever, Katie took a seat on a couch and gestured for Leland to join her. She could wait until people had vacated the kitchen, plus it was a bit earlier than her usual time of getting up. Breakfast could wait half an hour or so.

Richard woke up to see Alex rubbing her temples.

"Wait here." He said simply before calmly dislodging the rather persistent cat from his chest and walked out of the room. He came back slightly later with two aspirin and a glass of ice water, the joke wasn't lost on him but he didn't acknowledge it at that moment.

"Here you go." He said somewhat groggily as he handed the pills and glass to her.

"Traditional headache and hangover cure."

------------------------------

Lillian woke up to the baby crying and Garrus already gone.

"I really wish he would wake me up before he left." She grumbled as she made herself a pot of coffee.

Jason gradually and gracefully awoke from slumber, the sound of construction not phasing him one bit.

"Ah, the benefits of being a heavy sleeper." He said, stretching his arms and back. Instinctively, he reached for his nightstand, in hopes to use his remote to turn on his TV...the remote that was stolen when the Promenade was overtaken a week ago. He let out a heavy sigh, realizing that the whole 'battle for Levi's mind' event made him forget about ordering the items that he'd lost.

"I'll just make it my priority for the day. Hopefully, nothing else'll pop up for us." He declared, making his way towards his bathroom to start his morning rituals. After his (overly) extended time washing himself, Jason dressed in simple housewear before making his way towards the area that usually contained the most activity in the morning: the kitchen.

"Good morning everyone! You guys got anything planned for the day?" He announced to whoever listened, automatically making his way towards the coffee machine to pour himself some of the hot caffeinated liquid.

"Thank you love." Alex said taking the pills and quickly downed them with the water. "I hate having head trauma." she said tucking her legs tight to her chest. Her concussion wasn't like a normal due to it being caused by her fight with Victor. Her head was telling her it was hurt but she knew it was psychosomatic; however, that didn't stop it from hurting like a *****.

"I really hate this pain, for fuck sake I didn't really hit my damn head." she said looking up at Richard. she felt Sam cuddled up to and paw at her. "Hey Sammie." she said.

------------------

Eric woke up in his room at the Promenade and sighed. "I really hate this construction." he said getting up and pulled out a set of clothes to wear. He was hoping Alex was already there so he could see her. As much as he hated him self for it he loved Alex and wanted to take her from Richard. It pained him the day they got married and it still pains him now seeing a wedding ring on her finger. He couldn't help but come on to her and flirt with her. The fact is her wanted her more then anything.

Tommy was washed his arms and hands in the sink so he wouldn't get dust on the foot before serving himself. He toasted up some bread, and proceeded to add butter and raspberry jam. Oh, raspberry, so delicious, why do other berries even bother? He thought as he finished his preparations and grabbed a large cup of joe.

"So groceries, I can do that when I'm out today, I gotta take a trip to New Eldorado, Dira needs some help with something. I'll grab some stuff on the way back." Tommy said as he sat down and dug.

"Hey Jason, just going on a lil' day trip to New Eldorado to run some errands, you can come if you want."

"I think that's a good idea Katie...not sure what we'll do but anything to get away from here," Leland responded as he took a seat at the couch before immediately getting back up stating he needed something. After heading to the fridge and realizing that there was only water and coffee to drink he opted for a cup of coffee, heading over and pouring some. He frowned when he realized there was no half-and-half, sighing unhappily as he poured the whole sugar container into the cup and started to drink it.

Garrus practically gagged as he watched his brother drink at the coffee, barely able to mutter a hello.
"Hello to you too brother; and hello nephew, best friend, big fan, and the rest of you," Leland responded, taking a slice of bread and dipping it into the coffee causing Garrus to gag some more, "I see you all are in various moods. So, is anyone heading out somewhere today? Katie and I need to get away from here."
"Park later on for me and Renton, uhh New Eldorado for Tommy and maybe a few others will go with him too. Not sure what anyone else is doing," Garrus replied, Leland perking up when he heard 'Tommy' and 'New Eldorado'.

"Well I think I know what I'd like to do today, if you don't mind me joining you Tommy and whoever goes along. It's been awhile since I've been there, and I wouldn't mind seeing all the sights again...like the place you and I broke out of! Good times...I can also say hello to your sister again! I can't even recall if I've ever thanked her for helping your father and I out...I assume I did, but it's been such a long time since that happened," Leland told Tommy with excitement, yelling to Katie that they might have a fun place to go to today.

----

The syringe in the container said 'Death' on it, and the Doctor was pleased that he had finally figured out exactly what was needed to eliminate his main threat. He carefully took it out and opened up the door to his office, putting on his glasses as he headed over to the unconscious Brian. He had to work hard the last week to figure out everything; Brian had been very resilient with his healing powers. But at last he had it, and the Doctor was certainly not going to waste any time. It would look like a simple accident, poor Brian would just never recover from the journey into Levi's mind.

The Doctor chuckled at his own brilliance as he grabbed ahold of Brian's IV; ready to eliminate the competition for healer of the Society.

"Well on the bright side, it isn't a sign of anything worse so you can be thankful for that." Richard said as he sat next to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll need to head over to the Promenade sometime, so let me know when it's manageable that we can head out. The gifts need to be given out today, since we missed so long." He said calmly.

It was a lovely day downtown. Brian and Kayla spent their time mostly window shopping, occasionally stepping in to see if there was something that caught their eye. Brian bought Kayla a nice gold plated bracelet which she wore proudly. They had stopped at a Starbucks to grab a couple of iced lattes.

"Ah, this is just what I needed," Brian remarked as he slurped down his drink.

"Careful now, don't want to give yourself brain freeze!" Kayla warned him.

"Brain freeze?...Hah, I never get brain freeze!" Brian took another long sip to prove his point.

"All right, well don't come crying to me when you're brain starts hurting and you can't break out of it."

"All right well....holy shit! Is that Sidney Crosby in line over there!" Brian exclaimed, figuring he spotted the veteran NHL superstar waiting to order.

"Huh, I think it is. What do you know?" Kayla took another sip.

"I'm getting his autograph!" Brian bolted up and ran over to one of heroes. "Mr. Crosby, sir! I...jeez, could you...I mean...would you,"

"Sure Brian, I'd be happy to give you an autograph, got a pen?"

"Yeah, I...wait a minute. How did you know my name?"

"Well...I...Scarlett Johansson told me about you. You apparently broke her heart to be with Kayla."

"Wait, what? I did that? How did I...wait a minute." Brian took out his change and counted it. "I only paid $2 for this latte! Oh my god! OH MY GOD! This isn't real, is it? This whole past week has been a lie! What is going on here? I don't...I can't....augh!" With that Brian passed out on the floor of the fake Starbucks.

--------

It was a quick pass out, and when Brian awoke he appeared to be in bed. There were tubes coming out of his arm, leading towards...the Doctor doing something.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing?" Brian yanked the tubes out of his arm and bolted to the other side of the bed. "You crazy bastard! You were going to fucking kill me? I knew it! Get the fuck away from me!" He got up, not caring that he was only in a standard hospital gown and ran back to his room, wherever that was.

Alex nodded some. "Just give me a bit for the pain to die down." she said kissing him softly and got up getting dressed. "Anyway I love you Richard." Alex said looking back at him putting on her bra and smiles softly.

Alex couldn't be more happy with Richard but felt something for Eric as well. she wasn't sure what it was or where it came from. She just knew it was there.

"Cool. I guess I could tag along too. Never really heard of New Elderado, so it'll be like a learning experience! I just need to get some stuff for my room. Just call me or something if I'm still on the computer when you guys are ready to go." Jason replied to the idea of traveling to the exotic locale, stirring sweet contents into his coffee before slinking off, taking small sips from his mug as he made his way towards the fabled 'computer room' that Taryn mentioned.

"Just realized, I have no idea where this room is." He thought as he began to aimlessly wander the halls.

"Yes, just keep walking past the same door 50 times. You'll find it eventually." Erebus replied with heavy sarcasm, receiving a shushing from Jason as a reply.

"Take your time Alex, we just need to go in sometime today. Doesn't need to be soon, we can wait a few hours at least if you need it." Richard said as he stood up and began to get dressed.
