Society of Justice 3: Crisis on the Earth

Katie made to get in the car, giving Dira a wave from the passenger side, but paused when she saw the inside of the back seat. "Wait... that can't be right," she said, ducking back out to look at the outside properly. It looked like any other car she'd seen... that didn't make sense, because the back seat had appeared to be bigger on the inside.

"Um... while I don't quite get how the back seat works, hi, Dira. As Leland said, it's been a while," she said, carefully getting into the back seat. She left a space between herself and Requiem, lest Talbot flipped out and tried to peck at her. She didn't quite get why the alien bird didn't like her. She was around Leland a lot of the time, and she'd been there when he had hatched from his egg. You'd think he would like me after all this time, but no. Crazy bird, she thought, settling into her seat.

Jason followed closely behind the couple, compliantly climbing into the magical car as Katie spazzed about the properties of the red Jaguar's extra room.

"It's like a TARDIS! Awesome!" He said excitedly as he took a seat near the front, shaking her hand after Leland.

"Hey, i'm Jason. I don't know if we've met before, but if we have, then I've forgot it, and I apologize. This is an awesome car." He said, complementing the car without a proper pause between sentences.

Tyson finished off his yogurt and rinsed out the yogurt container and put it in the recycling bin. Tyson then washed his spoon along with the rest of the dishes in the sink. Feels like I'm the only one who does this. Tyson sighed as most of the team vacated the room for other various activities. Taryn and Levi ran off to work on Brian's weapon, Rowan went wondering, Brian's in hiding from the Doctor, and pretty much everyone else is off to New Eldorado.

Tyson looked at the time and almost none of it had passed. No stores were open, Tyson wouldn't be able to fall back to sleep for a while, the gym didn't have equipment, and Tyson was bored. Tyson decided to sit down on the couch in the lounge. There's still one thing you have to do today that's still an option. "Garrus. If it wouldn't be any trouble, would you mind telling me what happened to me in Levi's mind after I grabbed Victor? I haven't really had a chance to ask anyone because, well you know, my throat." Tyson said his voice sounding worse the longer he talked.

"Oh, hey Leland." Dira greeted, she was less than enthusiastic about Leland's overly familiar greeting. " I don't think you thanked me but saving my brother was thanks enough."

" Hello Katie, I think the last time we met was last year, I came by to help install some security." She said to Katie before turning to Jason, " Ya, the car's an antique, our dad bought it in back in the sixties, we've kept it in the family and in working order since then," she then motioned to the expanded dimensions, "With of course, more than a few after-market upgrades. So Tommy is this everyone?"

" I think so." Tommy replied as he buckled himself in.

"Alright let's go." Dira started the car and left the Promenade's drive-way. After a few minutes of driving they were on a clear stretch of road.

"Right, in cast any of you have never teleported before, a word of advice, exhale before the jump." Dira shifted the car into a gear marked only as "T". Immediately the Jag lurched and began picking up speed until finally there was a bright flash of light and the Jag was suddenly on a completely different road that followed an ocean's coast.

"Welcome to New Eldorado," Tommy said motioning towards the city growing in the distance. A place a place where Aztec Pyramids, medieval towers, and sky-scrapers competed to stand out amongst the skyline.

"Alright, first I need Tommy to help me move some stuff back at my place, and then we can start the tour."

Alex finished getting dressed soon after Richard left the room. She followed after him sitting down at the kitchen table her head feeling better. "Want me to make breakfast love?" she asked her chin resting in the palm on her hand as it's elbow rested on the table. "Maybe you know try again after." she said with a smirk crossing her legs.

Erc looked at Steven confused but at the same time he's seen worse things then that being with Alex.... god Alex the perfect women, the perfect married women he should say. Eric sighed thinking about Alex and decided to do something about it.

Katie flinched and clung to Leland's shoulder as the car picked up speed, momentarily blinded by the flash of light. She blinked a few times to clear her vision, looking out of the window to see if Tommy's words were true and they were already in New Eldorado.

Needless to say, the sight took her breath away.

"Sweet Jesus... would you look at that," she murmured, taking in the sight of the conflicting historical buildings. There was an Aztec ziggurat standing tall and weatherworn, next to a structure that looked like it was straight out of the Middle Ages. "That is... amazing," was all she had to say, gazing out at the strange city.

Rowan continued to meander around the Promenade, stopping off in the museum to take a gander at the myriad of weapons, trophies and souvenirs which he always liked seeing. However, the constant noises produced by the construction workers constantly invaded his ears, distracting him from his enjoyment of the museum.

"God dammit... there's gotta be someplace I can get away from all the noise," he said to himself. "Hang on. There's the pool, isn't there...? No, that's pretty much up against the wall, so that's not an option."

A bit frustrated by the noise, he went back to the lounge to find Eric. He knew Alex pretty well; hopefully he could help Rowan with what he wanted to do. It was a long shot, but he figured since Alex wasn't here, he could go to the next best thing. Seeing the alchemist sitting near Steven, he sat down next to Eric and said, "Hey, um... Can I talk to you about something?"

"I would enjoy that greatly, but we do need to get to the Promenade or else I would take you up on that offer. As for breakfast, please. I'm going to feed Sam and make sure everything is ready for today." Richard replied as he opened a can of cat food for Sam and put it on the counter before placing the cat on it.

Lillian picked up Renton and held him.

"I hadn't even noticed it was gone. Now if the coffee maker was missing, I would have had a few questions for you." She responded. Kissing Garrus before looking over the work.

"The rebuilding of the Promenade seems to be going well, so how are you?"

"Thankfully that was already bought; I don't think anyone would have survived otherwise," Garrus replied with a chuckle, "Other than that not much going on. I'm good, a little tired but I'm not about to collapse anytime soon. Otherwise I wouldn't be heading to the park in a bit."

It was then he heard Tyson ask him a question; turning to face him Garrus took a second to think. "I actually didn't really get to see much about what happened Tyson. If I wasn't completely focused on hitting Victor than I was behind cover. I heard that is was some pretty crazy stuff though," he replied with a shrug, "Try one of the other guys that were fighting closer to him, they might have seen more."

"Amazing isn't it?" Leland asked those in the car, smiling as he looked out the window to see the view, "And if you think this is amazing then you'd love some of the other cities."
"Beep beep bop," Ethan said in awe as he saw everything come into view.
"I know right? Hey Dira, what's Tommy helping you move around if you don't mind me asking?" Leland asked, more curious as to what would be going on today.

"See you there," Levi replied as he watched Taryn leave. Before heading back to his room, he decided to grab a quick something for breakfast, since he was here. A few minutes later, after consuming a breakfast bar, Levi made his way back to his own room. He inspected his recently-repaired workbench and took a quick inventory of his tools. Richard had been true to his word and managed to replace most of his tools that the Union had stolen in their brazen raid. A few of them were still on their way, but Levi had more than enough to get the job done. He got to work clearing a decent enough working space as he waited for Taryn to arrive.

"Well eggs Benedict sounds good with some fresh coffee." Alex said getting up and kissed Richard softly as she passed him stopping to plant the kiss. "Hmmmm I love you and I hope I can get pregnant." she said wrapping her arms around him pressing her body tightly on his making sure he couldn't not notice her body was there.

Eric looked over at Rowan. "Sure how can I help you Rowan?" Eric asked titling his head to the side. eric was almost out of it thinking about Alex when Rowan walked up to him her lost his train of thought.

Jason shared a look similar to Katie's as he looked out into the city, his attention mostly turned towards the Aztec pyramid they rode past.

"Whoa...I didn't even know those things still existed. You guys...legend has it, that the Key was created by a Aztecan sorcerer using dark magic and a bargain to Acolnahuacatl, a Aztec god of the underworld to use to wage war on a rival tribe. Pyramids like these...are like, apart of my history. And I've finally seen one in real life." Jason said, gradually turning from the window to glimpse at his fellow passengers with a thankful smile.

"Thanks for letting me tag along Tommy." He added with a nod.

"I heard that is was some pretty crazy stuff though." On a scale of one to ten in regards to terrible things to hear, that would be an eight.

Pretty crazy stuff. We are in the Society of Justice. Everyone part of the team for longer than two weeks wasn't even shocked when our minds were switched. What the fuck could have happened that it would be classified as pretty crazy? Other than that Garrus has no clue what happened to me. Tyson sighed. A place Tyson didn't want to go back to was looking like it was going to be an unavoidable location in his current path.

"Um... I want to talk a little about Alex and the company she runs," Rowan began. "Since she owns a genetics company, and they probably do a bit of work involving live specimens... I want to submit myself to genetic analysis. The reasoning for this is because my powers originate from a virus, which I believe has integrated itself into my body. Do you know much about Alex's company and suchlike?"

Considering that Alex wasn't at the Promenade just yet - she was probably off with Richard somewhere to avoid the construction work - Rowan figured Eric was the best person to talk to in the meantime. He knew Alex pretty well, more so than the others who were hanging around - Rowan didn't notice Garrus and Lillian talking.

Richard kissed Alex back before turning around and holding her.

"I love you too Alex. As for breakfast that sounds like an excellent choice."

"Good to know you aren't overexerting yourself. As for the coffee I know I wouldn't have been able to bother getting here this morning without it. I think I may come with you if something doesn't come up." Lillian replied.

"No overexertion here. Only helped the construction workers out when their jackhammer wasn't working. I mainly been at the restaurant the past few days, but it seems like they've done a lot of work in the short time span that they've been here. End of the month is what they said so I'll hold them to it," Garrus told Lillian, opening up the diaper bag and giving Renton a small cup of water.

"Not sure if anything is happening today. The group that just left went to New Eldorado, everyone else is hanging out from what I can tell. Or hiding, which is what I think Brian might be doing today," he added.

Brian was in his room, sitting on the bed, staring at the cheap Blackberry Pearl in his hand. He was just flipping it over and over. Should I even bother texting her at this point? Tyson said he was going to mention something. Would she understand? Would she still even be willing to do anything? Gah, I dunno what I should do. He laid back down on the bed. Amazing he could take on something like Victor and this is what's causing worries to pass through his mind. I should probably. What's the worst that could happen? She could reject me. Not even respond. Lots of things...I gonna do it. I gotta say something. Otherwise I got no chance.

He grabbed the phone, his fingers starting to fly on the keyboard. He only had 140 characters to make his case. He would have to make them count.

Hi Kayla. Sory dis is l8. Wntd 2 do dis soonr but couldnt. Was in coma 4 a week. Do 2 SoJ stuf. Realy realy sory. Stil wilin 2 talk 2 me?

He double clicked the track ball and sent the text on its way. All I can do is wait. He turned his attention back to CoD. Some terrorists needed to stand in for a certain madman.

"Sure is, Katie, sure is." Tommy replied, taking the vista in for himself. Truthfully it didn't stun him as much, be as he looked on the skyline he was filled with nostalgia about his time there.

"You know Jason, I know a good few of the Aztec sorcerers in the city, our older brother went to college with a lot of them. If you want we can see if they know anything about that ritual?" Dira offered as she pulled into residential district, and stopped in front of her apartment, where a truck was also parked.

" I just have some really heavy boxes with new tools that I need moved upstairs, shouldn't take long for Tommy." She said, as she turned off the car and stepped out.

Taryn keyed in her password for her voice-mail as she pushed open the door to her room. A rather lengthy voice message from her mother began to play. 'Hija, I was just calling to....' lead into a minute long list of questions and concerns about Taryn's life. How was she? How was her boyfriend? Was she getting enough sleep? Did she need anything? The familiarly of the litany of questions caused Taryn to smile. While still listening to the message she grabbed her laptop and a few other items that she thought she'd need during to work on designing Brian's new weapon.

Taryn tilted her head and held the phone in place with her shoulder. She made a slow circle in her room. 'That should do it.' she thought. Just as she turned to leave her room the message ended. Lowering her phone, Taryn stepped back out into the hall. She locked her door then turned and began walking toward Levi's room. 'Remember, call mom back this evening.' she told herself sternly. When she reached Levi's room Taryn rapped her knuckles against the door a few times. She waited a few seconds before opening the door and stepping inside.

Leland let Talbot out first (the bird circling overhead while everyone else got out) before getting out himself, keeping the seat down for everyone else. Ethan continued beeping in awe at how amazing everything looked, random passer-bys giving him an odd look before shrugging it off and continuing on.

"Hoo boy I cannot wait for us to get this tour going! So excited," Leland told everyone there, the bright and sunny sky beaming down on them, "Do you need any help Dira or is Tommy all the help you'll need?"

Jason quickly hopped out after Leland and Ethan, stretching his legs as he took a look around the new surroundings, still quite elated that he able to come along to this magical place.

"We should help anyway Lee. Y'know, the faster we get her stuff settled in, the quicker we can go our tour, and the quicker we get to learn about my dark and evil ancestors!" Jason pointed out in a excited tone similar to Leland's.
