"You got it".

Levi was already fully dressed and ready to go, but he had to gather his keys and his wallet before he left. Both tasks were easier said than done, especially in the disorganized mess that was Levi's room. After a few minutes of rummaging through his desk, he found both items and put them in his pockets. Leaving his room, Levi locked the door and gave it a tug to make sure it was in place. The replacement lock for his door was temporary, and was a much inferior one.

Heading down the hall, he made his way through the double doors and spotted Taryn in the lounge. With a smile, he approached her. "So...who's driving?" he asked as he pulled out the keys to his car. Levi had brought the nondescript sedan he owned prior to joining the Society a while back. He had been meaning to toy around with the vehicle, perhaps giving it a complete overhaul. In any case, the car was still functional, and didn't attract attention like a Ferrari would.

"I don't see why not Garrus, and if you're so dead set on carrying everything who am I to say no?" Lillian replied with a laugh.

"As for you being ungentlemanly, I think you already have that part down dear."

---------------------------------

"I'm not sure how he could have known, hell for all we know he planned on taking a cell from me and just going about it that way. As for tonight, we can sure as hell try." Richard replied with a smirk as he moved to get a couple of mugs and some plates out for them.

Leland had a look of shock and nervousness when Dira told him about a few of the boxes having an adverse reaction to magic; prompting him to help take the rest of them in by hand. A feat he found to be difficult.

"Jeez, upped strength and still these things are a ***** to move," Leland murmured as he and Ethan pushed and pulled a box inside, "At least it's a short distance to carry..."

----

"Pfft I am anything but ungentlemanly! Here, let me alleviate some of that weight," Garrus said as he took Renton into his arms, the child looking at all the surroundings that he wasn't used to (taking particular interest in other children).

"Hmm..." Taryn wrapped her hand around the keys in her jacket pocket. Her vehicle of choice was her motorcycle. It was fast, and efficient, and she didn't always have to wait in traffic lines. But it was probably better if they took an actual car. Especially since they were getting supplies. Tying sheets of metal to a motorcycle was not a good idea. The Ferrari...was probably not a good idea either though. "Why don't we take your car?" Taryn said.

Alex cut the English muffins in half and put two halves on each plate. She quickly checked that bacon to make sure it was done before putting it on the muffin. She pulled the eggs out of the water softly patting them dry and put them on top of the bacon. Next came the Hollandaise right on top of the rest of the pile of food topping it with some diced up chives.

"That should be it." she said smiling looking at Richard and give him a quick kiss.

"That was a joke dear, you are a perfect gentlemen believe me." Lillian said with a smile.

"And how about you let our child down so he can actually play?" she joked.

----------------------------

"Looks delicious as always." Richard replied after kissing Alex back, pouring himself a cup of tea and sitting down to eat.

"I was just thinking that," Levi replied with a grin. "Don't think we want to take a flashy expensive car just to grab some construction materials," he added. It was nice how Taryn seemed to share his sentiments about public exposure. There was a reason why the so-called "Electric Couple" were the two heroes that nobody outside of the team knew very much about. Pulling out his car keys from his vest pocket, Levi jingled them briefly. "In that case, shall we?"

With that, Levi and Taryn made their way into the garage, where Levi's old car sat in a corner. It was a light-brown colored sedan, from about the mid 90's judging from its appearance. Besides some scratches on the paint and a small dent on the driver's side door, the vehicle was in good condition. It wasn't a high-performance Ferrari, but it was definitely a serviceable car in its own right.

Levi produced a small device from his key chain and pressed a button. The single large door of the Promenade's garage groaned and with a loud series of metallic clangs and bangs, opened. Levi then selected the key for his car from the myriad of keys on the chain, stopping at a black key embedded with the symbol of a Japanese automobile company. He inserted the key into the hole on the driver's side door and turned it. The car unlocked with a resounding clank. Opening the door, Levi gestured to the passenger's side. "Go ahead," he told her.

Taryn opened the door of the car and slid into the passenger seat. After shutting the door and pulling on the seat belt she waited for Levi to start the car. Her gaze slid over the dash panel and windshield. It'd been a while since she'd been in this particular vehicle. In fact...

"So...how are those upgrade plans going?" The technopath asked curiously. Most of her own upgrades were done to her motorcycle. Modifying a car was a bit different. And more time consuming. At least in theory. Well, she assumed. "You um...mentioned upgrading a few things last time we went out." Feeling unusually hesitant Taryn smiled briefly then fell silent. She tugged on her jacket sleeve and unnecessarily resettled her seat belt.

"Ah, yes, the upgrades," Levi said as he started the car. "I haven't gotten around to actually starting them, but I have a general idea of what I want to do". He made a mental note to at least try getting around to it soon. Backing the car out of the garage, Levi pushed the button on his garage door opener, causing the door to descend with its loud clangor. He put the vehicle back into drive and left the Promenade driveway. "I was thinking about just replacing some of the parts with more modern ones. This car's perfectly serviceable, but it's a bit old".

Alex handed Richard his plate with a fork and poured her self some coffee adding cream and some sugar. "Well I hope it tastes as good as it looks." Alex said sitting down at the table with her fork. She poked at the yolk of the egg and smiled seeing it run just how she liked it. She took a small bite and smiled nothing seeming to taste wrong or out of place.

Tommy brought the last box into the back of the store and set it down. In the back Dira had several shoe-box sized containers which held comissions that she had been hired to make, as Tommy stood up he spotted one with his name on it.

"Ooh," He said quietly to himself as he walked to the shelf to examine the box. But before he could open it Dira spotted him, and slapped away his hands.

"No, no peaking at your birthday present." She chided him.

" Fine," Tommy wimpered as he followed her outside.

" Alright guys, that's everything, thanks for helping me out with that. So where do you want to go next?"

Garrus nodded and put his son down when they got to the park, the boy looking around in bewilderment. "Hey buddy why don't we go on the swings first? There's one just for someone your age," Garrus said to him, leading Renton to the swings and placing him on one. As he lightly pushed the swing Renton seemed to lose his initial confusion and started to enjoy being swung, happily babbling with each swing.

"Your welcome, and to answer your question: everywhere! Though if we have to choose I'd say at least all the big, awesome places before we have to head back!" Leland said excitedly now that everything had been moved inside. Ethan beeped a few times to say where he wanted to go, Leland translating that Ethan wanted to go and see the oldest parts of the city.

"Where to go... well, what's there to see, I guess," Katie mused aloud before getting an idea. "Are there any, I dunno... giant greenhouses or plant stores? Maybe I could pick up a couple of interesting specimens to take home. Spruce up the garden a bit since it got torched."

Of course, her suggestion could wait until later: Requiem's suggestion sounded like it would be interesting for the whole group rather than herself and maybe one or two others. She said as much to the rest of the group after thinking it over.

Lillian took a seat on a nearby bench and watched with a smile as Garrus pushed Renton on the swing. She was glad to finally have a family, albeit an unconventional one.

Richard began to eat the food at the counter, making sure to keep Sam away from the food.

"Delicious as always love. You truly have a way in the kitchen."

"Replacements could work." Taryn said and she nodded in agreement. She didn't comment on the fact that the car was old. It wasn't ancient or falling apart but... The technopath tapped lightly on the glove compartment. It could use some replacements. 'Maybe a new paint job as well.'

As the inconspicuous car made its way down the street Taryn pulled out her list of materials and flattened it across the dashboard. She located a pen to cross off the items she remembered seeing in Levi's room. "We should be able to get most of the supplies..." she commented. "Until we hit the fancy 'upgrades'. Those may take a specialist." Taryn frowned and tapped her pen on the last items of the list. She jotted down a few phone numbers in the margin of the paper.

Levi furrowed his brow momentarily. "We just might have to look around," he replied as he maneuvered his car through the intersection just before the store. "I don't expect to find everything we need to build an electrified hockey stick scythe at the local hardware store". Levi steered the aged automobile into the parking lot of the hardware store, which was situated between a major electronics store and a large discount clothing shop.

It was rather crowded in the parking lot, with most of the spots closest to the store occupied. Cars patrolled through the rows slowly, seeking a spot to park in with a slow, predatory determination. They reminded Levi of sharks circling their prey, waiting for the right time to strike. Instead of joining the feeding frenzy, he opted to pick a spot in the back of the lot, where very few cars were parked. When given the choice, he would rather take the extra thirty seconds of walking than the five minutes looking for a spot.

Bringing the automobile to a stop in a vacant parking spot, Levi set it to park and killed the engine. "Well, here we are," he said before opening his door and stepping out.

Jason looked on quietly, piping up along with the others when Dira asked for suggestions.

"Well, I still want to learn more about my ancient Aztecan heritage...but right now, I really don't care where we go. I'm just happy to enjoy some leisure time away from the Promenade grounds, y'know?" Jason said with a shrug.

"Hmm, I dunno, what do you think Tommy?" Dira asked her brother who was getting back in the car.

"Let's head to the jungle district, they've got the best nurseries and the Golden pyramid is right next to it. We'll pick up the seeds and then check it out, there should be a few shamans running about." He suggested.

"Good idea, alright, load up everyone." Dira said as she got back in the car and started it up.

"Yay~!" Leland cheered as he made his way back into the car, Ethan about to head inside before Talbot swooped in first. Ethan beeped a few things before going inside and taking a seat, tapping his feet as he waited for everyone else so that they could explore the city.

----

After the swings came the spinning wheel (and much dizziness), which was then followed by going down slides until Renton hit his head on the ground and started to cry loudly.

"He's fine!" Garrus quickly called out as he picked up his son and tried to calm him down as he went to go and take a seat next to Lillian on the bench. "He's good, just a simple bump on the ground. No major injuries here," he reassured, patting Renton's back as the child calmed down.

"Hmm... That seems like a good place to start. Wait, shamans?" Katie asked with concern in her voice as she got into the car, taking the same seat as before so as not to annoy Talbot by being too close. She knew very little of magic besides that which Leland and the other magicians she had encountered used.

Eventually Rowan grew tired of running the same route around the Promenade's block. He had used his shapeshifting power a couple of times to keep his stamina up to maintain a constant speed; being not as fit as some of the other Society members didn't help, but the shapeshifting certainly did.

Rowan stopped for the third time outside the Promenade's gates, and for the third time he saw no difference in the parking lot. He sighed, a little disappointed, and sat down outside the gates. His usual run completed - he had started running in the mornings while the construction was going on - all he could do was wait for Alex to turn up.
