Heres some of mine.

A silent or quite sniper or marksman character in a game or film.

Why do black characters always die in films?
-They usually have the coolest character but they always seem to be the one the director kills off relativly quickly.

The Irish are always Drunk.
-I have met many sober Irish, In fact I am part Irish and can go a full 48 hours without a drink. (Thats a full 48 hours more then most English northeners =P)

Here are a couple of mine-

-"America is the most sinister nation on the planet" (We were the leaders of the free world most nations generally liked us until it became "cool" to bash us in Europe). Do me and a few others a favor and don't lump Americans all together as being bad just because of one administration. I could hardly say the same for these countries that bash us, yet I never hear anyone complaining about their corruption, military aggression, persecution of minorities, and political dissidents on a scale so massive they don't even cover it up anymore.


-Gay men are all ridiculously effeminate (You'll find a majority of us are just as diverse as straight men in how we dress, act, and express ourselves.)

-Gay men are all involved with fashion, theater, home decoration and or hair styling/cosmetics.

-All Muslims/Middle Easterners/Southwest Asians are gun toting, suicide-bomb-crazed lunatics. I hate this one paticularly today.

-Whenever it becomes popular to dislike someone, some genre or whatever.. there has to be this interesting and deep reason for it. Case in point... once someone says "X sucks.. Y is better" everyone on the escapists suddenly hates X or call Y overrated.


-Israel being made up "evil,racists zionist settlers" despite the fact they're the only true democracy(modeled after Europe) in the region besides Egypt(though even Egypt has been acussed of human rights abuses). Is it right to build settlements in West Bank? No. Does Israel have a right to defend itself from Hezbollah and Hamas? Yes. Does being pro-Israel make you anti-Palestinian? Big NO.

Environmentalists are somehow outragious for asking humans to maintain a level of environment/resource stability so that we -the human race- can go for atleast another century or two without dying by the 10s of millions due to famine,flooding,disease,pollution of food/water sources and or lack of food/water period) -_-

I still dislike the stereotype that because I'm a Halo fan I must be an ignorant fratboy who gets drunk and yells 'woo' all the time and has the mental capacity of a turnip. Or that I'm an eight year old hyperactive racist.

If you show any signs of sadness you are "emo". Apparently everyone was cheerful before kohl eye-liner was invented.

If you don't like football (soccer) you are gay, which is odd considering the all-male players hug and kiss each other every time their team scores a goal.

Playing computer games is anti-social (even if it is online with friends) whereas sitting with a group watching TV in silence is not.

I am sure there are many more, but you said minor ones.

Oh for me soccer is quite the opposite, seeing as the people I know hate that sport. Well let's see, I get a bit frustrated when people call me out for playing violent videogames and then they go watch movies like Saw or Hostel. I guess just people being hypocritical, although that isnt really a cliché or stereotype.
