Caim and Angelus in Drakengard 2

He's the hero of the first game but the second game changes protagonists and it turns out he's become the enemy. I know that you (as the player) don't kill him yourself, but fighting him was still really sad.

And then Angelus has just been driven mad and when you fight her, you DO have to kill her and then that ends up killing Caim and...it's a vicious depressing cycle. ;_;

Let hit it old school

Marion from Double Dragon 3

She is controled by the the final boss. She your character girlfriend so you have to chose world or her.

That and she's hard to beat. I never win, but i remember that my sister manage to finish her of after i was dead.

Even than, it no big deal to me. I see them as a challenge, and me as a Challenger. I'll try till i win than move on to the next one.

Yeah.
The Boss AKA the joy, was the one end boss i didnt want to kill.
She kicked my ass about 5 time before I beat her and when I finally did I didnt get any joy out of it. no pun intended.
And to add insult to injury the game makes the player have to press the button to pull the trigger to finish her off.
Then the final insult happens when you learn her fully justified reasons for betraying her country, the same reasons which would turn big boss into a bad guy later on in the series.
Pretty much the whole metal gear series starts with the first Boss.

Come on who didn't get emotional at the end of MGS3.
I definitely have to agree with you.
I'll be honest, though, that for a good while in MGS3, I didn't like The Boss. But as I got closer to the end and then I fought her, I actually had developed a respect for her character...then I felt bad having to pull the trigger (like you said) and then I felt like total crap at the ending. :/

Have you ever played a game and not wanted to kill the villain? (If yes what villain) mine would be Levail from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, He was a man of chivalry and the paragon of kindness but the game
Kills him off even if you don't kill him
SO what's your villain you never wanted to kill?
Revolver Ocelot. Enough said.

Also, too many people to count in the Grand Theft Auto series. The protagonists are consistently douchebags who horribly main/kill anyone who even looks at them funny. Literally, CJ trapped a construction worker in a Porta potty that had been used, rolled him around in it till he was covered in excrement, then entombed the Portapotty in concrete (with the construction worker inside), leaving him to die of suffocation/dehydration while covered in excrement, gagging on excrement fumes. Why?

Because he whistled at CJ's sister, and made comments about how hot she was.

Not really a boss, but on Saints Row 2 I would've much rather joined The Brotherhood than picked a fight with them for no particular reason. The Brotherhood were ace.

Imma have to give my jerk answer first, Wesker from any Res evil game, because you know it is a waste of time.

My real answer...Andrew Ryan, which is good, because you don't really have to kill him, the game takes care of it for you. He was cool, and calm, he knew he was defeated, but didn't want Fontane to have the last laugh.

Let's just say "A man chooses; a slave obeys."

Cybil Bennett in the first Silent Hill, she's the only other human in the town who isn't insane. She's not really a villain, just gets possessed. Really didn't feel good about that one, but it's required for two of the endings.

Every final boss. I hate it when I finish games I like . Replaying them just isn't the same.

The difference between us is that I can feel pain. You don't even care, do you?
When GLaDOS said that, I literally put the mouse down and stopped fighting. I let the timer run out. Afterwards, I did fight her, but I remain impressed that a boss that fought back by tricking me into pacifism actually worked for a change.

Yah, Sinclair was Awesome. I never felt I could trust him with all the Audio tapes about him I kept finding, but in the end he was a good guy. Made me feel bad I had to cave his face in with my drill.
