While all this had been happening, Ragnorak had slipped into the Daedra Lord's tower and was steadily advancing towards the throne room. He saw Maelstrom take the crystal out of the tower and shrugged. "Torogrect should have a spare. Hope he recognizes me, otherwise, this could get sticky." Ragnorak continued his sneakiness and eventually reached the Daedra Lord's throne room. He sneakily killed the two guards and went in. He stuck to the shadows and came up behind the throne upon which a figure sat, looking bored.
<color=crimson>"Gee, I hope something interesting happens. I've been really bored, not even hunting the humans gives me any pleasure lately."
<spoiler=NOTE>I'd just like to point out that the Daedra are not intrinsically evil. To give a comparison, we are to rabbits as they are to us. We are prey, clever prey that can occasionally escape their snares, but prey nonetheless. Just a thought.
"Well then, Toro, allow me to show myself." Ragnorak stepped out from behind the throne...and nearly got his throat torn out when the powerful Daedra whipped around with it's claws fully extended.
<color=crimson>"For the love of Sheogorath, Rag, don't do that. You'll get yourself killed!" The Daedra sat back down in his throne and summoned a Scamp to go get Ragnorak a chair. <color=crimson>"How've you been? It's been...thirteen years since we last talked! I do see you've gotten yourself tangled up with some adventurers. And gained some swords in the process. Do you mind?" Torogrect said as he reached for the dual kodachi.
"Not at all, old friend. Yeah, the adventurers are a good bunch. We've saved the Earth from destruction and/or enslavement several times over the last few years. I don't think they knew about Oblivion though. Which is interesting. It's only been, what, forty years since Sheogorath reopened the planar walls as he ascended? I'm surprised you guys haven't made more incursions."
<color=crimson>"Well, you know, it's just too much of a bother. The humans have gotten more savvy after three hundred thousand years. I was just a Scamp back when the planar walls were still open, so I barely remember that time, however I do remember being killed by the same guy several times after reincarnation. That guy was annoying. He took the stones of the great towers and used them to enchant weapons, several of them. In fact...these are two such."
"Hmm? are you referring to Baldr? Yeah, my family's been collecting Baldr's weapons for centuries. I only got the keys to the armory a few years back though. Anyway, do you suppose you could give me a hand? We've got some hints of information, but I suspect one of the minor villains that we never actually killed is still alive and plotting. Could you confirm, possibly give me a detachment of Scamps to scout it out?"
<color=crimson>"Not a problem. Usual conditions?"
"Yeh, why not. I'll have to find her though. We kind of had to beat her in a game. You know how she is."
<color=crimson>"Of course. She's my niece after all. Just tell her I was asking after her. She'll show up at some point. Anyway, you needed an extra tower crystal? Just a sec..." Torogrect held his hand open palm up. Energy seemed to gather into it, eventually solidifying into a semi-cloudy crystal the exact size and shape of the one Maelstrom had removed. Torogrect then summoned a Daedra Warrior to take it to the tower and put it in. As the Warrior walked away, Ragnorak stood up and bowed to the Daedra Lord.
"Thank you. Just have the Scamps give me regular reports on progress. I don't need immediate results, I suspect he's building a power base at the moment. I just want to be prepared when he does strike."
<color=crimson>"Of course. Take care, friend."
"You as well." Ragnorak turned and stepped into a shadow, disappearing and reappearing near the battle/mosh-pit.
