Last JRPG I played and liked? That would have to be the last JRPG I played, which is Pokemon Pearl at the moment because I decided to start over for some reason. Close to the release of Platinum, no less...

Last one I played was Lost Odyssey. Loved it (and still do.) Better than any other ones I've played lately, good story, good gameplay, good game.

If strategy RPGs count (and I don't think they do, they're turn-based strategy games far more than they're RPGs) I'd pick the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and/or Advance Wars series.

If you're talking traditional JRPGs I haven't found one I've liked since Final Fantasy IX.

Lost Odyssey (seeing a theme here?) I got a lot of playtime out of that game. I don't really go in for JRPGs that often, but I also very much enjoyed The World Ends With You.

]Chrono Trigger DS or Final Fantasy IV DS: whichever one came out first.
FF IV did.
the latest Jrpg I played... well I did played a few minutes of Breath of fire 4. I really like that game.
Not only does it work quite well in terms of gameplay I love the visual style of the characters too.

did anyone else got a deathnote-ish feeling when playing the world ends with you?

I'm a big fan of JRPGs personally. I even liked FFXII.
I'm playing Lost Odyssey currently, and I have loved every minute.

Golden Sun Lost Age is sitting in my DS' gba slot. Been playing since 03, exactly 6 years on Monday. A few years ago I borrowed the KH series one at a time from my friend. I honestly liked the first two better than KH2 because they were actually difficult. CoM was probably my favorite though. Months later I borrowed FF7 and was bored almost to tears, long and Sephy was way cooler in KH because it was actually hard, and I felt that I would be missing something if I didn't finish the game, I wasn't, but Vincent was cool

The Final Fantasy series is slowly dying for me, since XII sucked so hard, and it looks like XIII is going to follow in its footsteps, but VII, VIII, and X are great games.

To this day, my favorite game of all time, and obvious JRPG game, since it is one, is Tales of Symphonia. Great story, GREAT battle system, good play-length, and extremely underrated. My only complaints are that Lloyd and Colette are complete douche bags.
Bolded for truth :D

Probably Kingdom Hearts 2, though I haven't played many jrpgs.
ahh you beat me, although i was going to say kingdom hearts 1, as the sequel is insulting easy compared to the first although still fun.

i am currently playing through tales of symphonia for the Nintendo gamecube. i only have a few hours left to play in the game and all i can say is that it has one of the most active and innovative battle systems i have seen since S.O.T.T.E.O.T.
This, and Drakengard(?).

Ha ha! Breaking it! I hated Lost Odyssey. It just moved way too slow for me, the leveling took way too long, and the story was so cheesy i could have guessed what the ending was going to be. I finished the first disk with like 70+ hours, and I was like "Yeah... no"
Also, the last JRPG i played and loved was Enchanted Arms.

Easily FFTA2. I was a fan of the first one, and this one is increble [Spelling fail] addicting.
