The 9mm pistol in Deus Ex.

Damn that thing is pathetic.

There were only 10mm pistols in Deus Ex, one that you start with and a silenced one. The default one was a powerhouse on human targets even without upgrades.

However if you're talking the knife, crowbar, sword, assault rifles or shotguns (without a proper skill level or weapon upgrade.) in that game, I would agree with you.

My vote goes to the Left 4 Dead hunting rifle. With the game's weird hit detection, the rifles slow firing rate and clip size and the fact that enemies will only engage 9 out of ten times from close range or the back, it is absolutely useless.

The scout from Counter-Strike would be my honorable mention. It is only the poor man's AWP or the sniper rifle on AWP banned servers.

Yet another comment on the .32 revolver in Fallout 3. Not only does it suck, even in full condition, and is less common than a better gun that uses the same ammo, perhaps the most disappointing thing about it is this. It makes a massive, earth-shaking BANG! whenever it fires and a rather large muzzle flash, like firing an old naval cannon, and it doesn't do shit. Any gun that is that loud and flashy should be blowing off arms and legs.

I think the 10mm pistol in Half life 2 episode one. I shot the same zombie with all the rounds you can hold and it still ran toward me.

Agreed. Except the M16. That gun could land headshots, and it was the only gun whos bullets did anything.

I'll also say the starting handgun in fallout 3 and the plasma pistol in halo(s).

Dont be dissin the Plasma Pistol. For the Original xbox, I had a Turbo controller, that with the plasma pistol made it my favorite weapon on Legendary. the Green bullets of death coming out of that thing would tear through an elite's shield in 1 second on legendary.
