Jason nodded, complying to her wishes, helping her steady herself as she stood. Soon after, he turned away from her to cough again, this time harder than before. As he took his hand away from his mouth, he noticed several little specks of blood.

"Damn, we're getting worser by the minute..." He said lowly before turning to Richard.

"Rich, you're the only one that isn't infected. Can't you go find us some help or something?" Jason said, going into another coughing fit before weakly leaning on Katie.

"Fuck! Crap this is my fault, shouldn't have gotten up close...Rich check the files on the computer for anything," Garrus said, sweat dropping from his brow. He could tell that he was running a high fever already, and he was starting to feel really dizzy even though he was just sitting down. His dizziness was getting worse, and along with sudden muscle fatigue he had to lie down.

"Well guys, this seems to be progressing a lot quicker than I thought," Garrus said, not trying to move at all.

Virus: First Stage (5 minutes depending) - Nausea, dementia, vomiting, fever, cold sweat.
Second Stage (10 minutes) - pulmonary edema (bloody coughs), muscular fatigue (cannot move much (Simon(exhaustion so he has to fight falling asleep)/Tommy/Jason/Garrus/Khrys are affected), severe dehydration (Aaron), fluid in ear (Garrus), massive fever and messed up nerves (Katie ), Dona suffers from random personality disorder.
Third Stage (10 minutes) - internal bleeding, organ failure, DEATH

"I keep saying I'm uninfected, but honestly I'm not sure. It is only when you all progress to a certain point that I will know I am uninfected." Richard said as he found the files on the computer dealing with the latest iterations of the virus.

'You can stay as long as you need to, though I don't know if it will help.' Richard thought to Dona as he looked over the files before speaking.

"Well thank god I'm wearing the suit right now. The virus is, for normal humans at least, Ebola and the flu. It's meant to be a pandemic, but it is still very early. For you supers, it has certain reactions with your cells. Something about the DNA being slightly different, and different symptoms that arise depending on your individual powers."

Feeling the symptoms quickly washing over him, Simon landed on the floor, doing his best to stay awake. His eyelids felt like iron, and he could feel his reflexes slowing down

"C-crap..."

He growled, clawing his way towards the others, swaying like a drunkard as he made his way towards his team

Katie tried to stay standing to support Jason's weight, but it was difficult. She could feel herself swaying from side to side, and her legs gave out after a minute of holding him up. She collapsed on the floor, sitting down hard, and tried to sit upright against a desk.

The nausea was stronger now, and Katie felt both too hot and too cold at the same time. Her armour felt stuffy, like it was the source of the heat. She split a wide gap in the plants on her side, and tried to open the armour around her waist like a shell or a hinge. The leaves, twigs and branches on her arms slid off like sleeves, removing their encumbrance, and Katie shivered slightly from the change.

Richard saw Simon crawling towards the group. He picked him up and set him on a table after clearing it off, he did the same with the others who were laying around. Soon enough, each of them laid on a table, it wouldn't be comfortable, but it would be easier to make sure they all were centralized and weren't laying in glass or other uncomfortable items.

"There, now you should all at least be more readily observed or moved." Richard said as he went back to reading the files, keeping an eye on each of them.

Garrus was starting to go in and out of consciousness, cursing at the fact that he couldn't even move. Any slight movement caused him extreme dizziness, but it was the only way he could keep himself awake. After getting himself to sit back up he looked over to Richard, saying, "This isn't good Rich. What should we do? I c-can't think of anything." He started to cough up a little blood before continuing, "I don't think any of us can really do anything. And this fucking virus is going through us quick."

"Ok. In retrospect, leaning on someone who's sick, and possibly weakening in strength by the second really isn't the best idea." Jason's conscience spoke out.

"Noted and Quoted." Jason thought back as he tried to get up from the table. But fatigue began to waft over him in massive waves, making it hard for him to move. The best he could do at the moment was turn his head towards her.

"Sorry...about that...Katie..." He finally manages to say before quickly turning his head away so he wouldn't cough on her.

Katie didn't answer, saving her strength. She had given up on removing what was left of her armour when Richard moved her to the table; she didn't have the energy to even lift an arm. The feeling that she was too hot started to build and grow stronger, and she felt a strange, slightly painful tingling in her fingertips. It quickly spread through her arms, then her torso, and the rest of her body soon after. Katie shuddered slightly at the pain, which was slowly building now. She clenched her teeth, unwilling to open her mouth for fear of vomiting all over the floor.

Richard finished looking through the meager files dealing with the virus. A cure had not been one of them.

"Of course, I can know what's killing you and how, but not how to stop it. Well, I just finished the files, and there is absolutely nothing on a cure. If any of you have absolutely any ideas on who can help or what I can do, now would be the time to say so. Since, if you all have nothing, the most I can do is try and make you comfortable." Richard said honestly before sitting in a chair behind him.

Simon slowly sat up, a wild and erratic grin on his face

"So this is it eh? You're telling me we're done? I don't believe it. You're all cowards or idiots or maybe both if you think I'm just going to sit here"

Teleporting over to the computer, Simon flipped on the screen, his voice growing in volume as he flipped through the on-screen menus

"Did you check for hidden files? Did you see if there was an outside connection that I could teleport to? Is there a plant, herb, animal, item that is listed that seems odd or out of place in the files?!"

Turing to Richard, his eyes bloodshot and narrowed he yelled at the top of his lungs

"ANSWER ME!"

"You think I didn't? There is nothing, now lay the hell down. Using your strength like that will only make it happen faster." Richard replied solemnly.

"I'm sorry, but there is nothing to be done unless one of you thinks of something or someone that can cure a disease without knowing the cure."

A thought popped into Garrus' head, one that he quickly pushed aside. 'Like hell,' he thought angrily. He looked around the room, taking time to look at everyone else in pain. He started to rethink his idea, calling Richard over.

"Hey, I might have an idea. But...I'm pretty certain no one would actually want to do it. It's complicated," he managed to say in between coughs.

"Honestly, I would advise you try it, no matter how insane. If you have something you think will work, well...it is your only option at this point other than die." Richard replied.

Hearing the conversation, Simon staggered over to Garrus

"We're all dying here. What the fuck have we got to loss?"

His eyes had taken on a mad edge, a survivalist edge. It was clear he was willing to do anything in order to live

Fire. All-consuming, hungering, terrifying fire. That was what Katie saw in her mind as she suffered through the pain, her eyes squeezed shut in a vain attempt to block it out. Her imagination was fairly accurate, as it felt like she was being burned alive. She could feel every inch of her body suffering from the virus's burning torture as she began to shudder, twitch and writhe on the table, consumed by fear of her greatest weakness.

She expected to see red-orange flames dancing all over her and her plants if she opened her eyes, but she kept them closed, unwilling to look. The burning sensation grew to the point where Katie could no longer contain her emotions, and she opened her eyes and screamed out, "FIRE! Oh God, the fire! It's everywhere, the plants, the lab... it's burning me up, it's burning from the inside!" She lost control completely, and began to thrash in her agony, tears pouring from her eyes.

Richard immediately ran to Katie's table. He knew the scientist wouldn't have any kind of sedative so he was going to have to do this the hard way. Grabbing Katie's shoulders so she wouldn't hurt herself or someone else he shouted.

"Katie, it's just the virus, there is no fire! Please try and calm down, or else I'll have to strap you down or knock you out to keep you from hurting yourself!"
