"Maybe those troopers have it, but if they do have it, they are probably already dead, dying, or disinfected. Either way, I haven't heard anything from the CDC or hospitals, but the virus here is contained. They blocked off the area and everyone in a radius the virus could reach is in full biohazard suits. So just focus on resting and not overexerting yourself." Richard replied, ignoring Leland at this point. He saw no reason to bother with him when he had ailing teammates he needed to tend to.

He went and ripped up a lab coat before wetting it with tap water and folding it over before placing a strip on the forehead of each teammate. Katie seemed to be the worse out of all of them, though that may have been because she was vocal and conscious. He refilled the beaker and went back to giving Katie water after placing the folded and wet cloth on her forehead.

Simon took a slow, deep breath, and sat up, slowly looking around, the wet cloth falling to the floor beside him

"What? Where?...Richard?"

He looked around with a somewhat blank expresion on his face.

Basically we're all infected with a virus that will kill us all if we're not cured soon. Your character will suffer from dehydration of epic proportions when the virus reaches Stage 2 on Aaron's body.

Virus: First Stage (5 minutes depending) - Nausea, dementia, vomiting, fever, cold sweat.
Second Stage (10 minutes) - pulmonary edema (bloody coughs), muscular fatigue (cannot move much (Simon(exhaustion so he has to fight falling asleep)/Tommy/Jason/Garrus/Khrys are affected), severe dehydration (Aaron), fluid in ear (Garrus), massive fever and messed up nerves (Katie), Dona suffers from random personality disorder.
Third Stage (10 minutes) - internal bleeding, organ failure, DEATH

We're in the laboratory of a crazy scientist called Mordtoten. We're all lying on tables coughing up blood. Except Richard, because his armoured suit renders him immune to the virus.

Aaron tried to get up but fell off the table as he tried to swing his feet to the ground.

"I..don't...feel..so...cold," Aaron stammered before he threw up falling to his knees. He eventual got back up and propped himself up against a wall.

"OK I'm drawing blanks what the fuck is going on," Aaron asked before coughing up a little bit of blood.

Richard gently laid Katie back down before gently forcing Simon to lay down before placing the cloth back on his head and moving to Aaron to do the same.

"You all need to stay on the tables, too much exertion will only kill you faster. Now please, just stay laying down." Richard then gently moved Aaron back onto the table and placed a wet cloth on his head as well. He knew there wouldn't be any ice but he could move between the people to help in some fashion. He got a beaker full of water for each of them, helping the weaker to drink and letting the ones who weren't as poorly off bring the beaker to the lips themselves. He recapped for Aaron as he worked. Not letting them share beakers meant that if they each had a different strain, he wouldn't cross contaminate and make matters worse. He wasn't about to take any unnecessary risks with the team in such a fragile state.

"We came to stop Mordtoten, a professor who was making a virus under an amusement park. We got into the underground laboratory and had a quick battle with Husk while I matched wits with Mordtoten. A third party of which we know nothing about came in and started a fight, the virus got out into the laboratory, and you were all infected. The air filters and airtight nature of the suit are my only saving grace, and we are currently waiting for Leland to finish getting ready to teleport us all. In the meantime, we are quarantined in here and I am trying to ease your pain. I hope that helps you understand a bit."

"Alright guys. Set up some beds for you all in the living room. Wasn't that hard finding that many. Anyways, I want everyone sick to just lie down, good. Also, there will be buckets right next to you once this ride is over," Leland said with a light chuckle, making sure everyone was ready.

It was over in a second. The white walls of the lab had suddenly changed to the dark brown wood of a large, rustic looking room. Those sick were teleported directly onto beds (with a bucket right next to them), with Leland and Richard standing to the side.

"See, wasn't that bad," Leland said over the groans from everyone, "I'll be right back. Two seconds!" With that he left the room.

Jason's eyes slowly and weakly flickered open. They swashed slowly in their sockets, trying best to scan the new surroundings, but the lack of strength and throbbing headache made it difficult to do so.

"W-where are we? Did Leland come yet? Ughhh, my head..." Jason puts his hand up to his head out of habit, but doesn't get it far. His eyes instantly widen in shock. The razor sharp armor at his fingertips were beginning to peel and disintegrate. The hand doesn't stay up long and quickly slumps.

"Dammit...I had a feeling this would happen. The virus is infecting my armor as well." He thought fearfully.

"If someone actually has a cure for this sickness, I hope they get to us fast."

Richard felt slightly woozy after the teleport, but was otherwise fine. He began tending to everyone again as he heard Jason.

"We're now somewhere else, Leland did the teleportation. I don't know where exactly, but he hasn't attacked yet so we should be fine. Now just stay laying down and try to rest." Richard advised as he tried to keep his teammates calm.

Disoriented by the suddenness of the teleport, Katie blinked a few times to try and understand where she was. She felt like she'd been falling at terminal velocity, frozen solid and microwaved all at the same time. She groaned once, rolled over and threw up again, half of it missing the bucket.

"Ah, damn..." she murmured weakly, looking at the result. A lot more blood had been present in this one, and her throat had started to hurt. Katie flopped back down on her bed, staring aimlessly at the ceiling.

Leland made his way back to the group, going to Katie and cleaning up the vomit with a wave of his hand. "You're certainly not doing well," he said to her with a concerned look, before getting called over by his brother.

"What'd she say?" Garrus asked his brother, having a hard time talking looking much paler than before.
"Couldn't really explain the situation. She was on a call. I told her to just come into the living room as soon as possible," he explained before adding, "And I did stress how important it is before you ask."

"Can I assume this is Camille Claidt you're talking about? Considering you're both referring to a she, and Garrus actually wants this person to help, it seems like the most logical choice." Richard said more than asked as he continued to do his best to help his teammates.

Wish I had colored this pic, but I was too busy. Maybe later when I get all my art stuff out.

"As much as I hate to admit it my mother is the only person I can think of who could even help us at all in these conditions," Garrus replied to Rich.

"Too bad you won't be getting help from me today," said a woman as she entered the living room, strolling over to injured group. She was tall, wearing white pants and a white long sleeved shirt. Her hair was the same bright blonde as Leland's, along with having the same green eyes. The most interesting thing about her other than the intense presence around her was the dark blue metal that covered her left arm and a small portion of her right temple.

"Hi mum," Leland said cheerfully, giving her a slight wave.

"So, you must be Camille." Richard said before noticing the metal.

"Interesting, the file at the promenade mentioned nothing about the metal on your temple and arms, then again, it didn't mention anything about children either. The file also paints you as a model hero, but your current actions sing a far different tune. I guess time has changed many things about you, though I'm sure you aren't about to give any answers. So, I guess I should get straight to arguing for your son's life.

He is dying, make no mistake about that, and Leland holds a stake in this as well. He has become smitten with Katie over here." Richard pointed to her.

"She is also dying, and both your son and Katie would argue for the lives of the others until their dying breaths. Should you want your son to live, and should Leland ever stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning Katie's heart, all the members of the group need to be healed. I'm sure if Garrus suggested you, it was because he knew you would and could help. I'm sure that, as a mother, you do not want to lose a child before their time and want what is best for your children. As a somewhat unbiased observe, I would say it is in both your and your children's best interest for you to heal them."

He hoped his argument would appeal, if not to her, than Leland who could strengthen their argument by mentioning him having a shot at Katie and arguing on their behalf because of it.

"Oh well, believe me I was certainly going to be healing my son. It's the rest of you that I'll need a lot of convincing on," Camille said to Richard, leaning down to Garrus and putting her wrist against his forehead. "And as for this Katie...knowing my younger son and the way he greets people I'm pretty certain he's ruined any chance of any relationship with her. But if he still wants me to I'd help her."

"Oh I certainly do mom!" Leland cut in quickly.
"Alright. The rest of you though, well thank goodness we live far out in the wilderness. Won't be hard to dump the bodies," she said matter-of-factly, taking off Garrus' broken sunglasses. He tried to reach for them, but Camille put his hand down. "Relax, I know how important they are to you. I'll be sure to give them back once I fix up the frame."

"I've been on the receiving end, so believe me when I say I agree on your assessment of Leland's chances with Katie. On the other hand, love makes fools of all of us, and he seems to be at least infatuated with Katie." Richard turned to Leland.

"If you want to stand any chance with Katie at all, you need to argue for the lives of the rest of them. Otherwise, any action you take will be absolutely pointless. She will hate you until the day she does die because you allowed her boyfriend and friends to die when you could have saved them all. On the other hand, you will probably score some points with her if you save them, making yourself into her personal white knight." Richard said with a mixture of sounding like he was actually giving advice and stating matter-of-factly. He hoped that Leland would take the bait and be more successful than he had been.

Katie listened to the conversation, wondering what Richard and this Camille woman meant behind their words. Her eyebrows furrowed as she listened. It seemed to her that Richard was trying to use her in particular as a bargaining chip, because of Leland's interest in her. She figured that maybe she could help Richard's case.

"If I might... get a word in?" she asked faintly, hoping someone would hear. "If you... want me to live, Leland, you would help my friends as you would help me." She coughed a couple of times, hurting her throat even more, but continued speaking. "I would die of a broken heart... if I had to watch Jason's life slip away. Could you... live with yourself, Leland? If you healed me and me alone, but... shattered me apart, by letting my friends die?" Katie could feel her voice weakening; she was starting to lose it from speaking too much.
