Richard's irresistible grip stopped Katie's thrashing, but she continued to cry as a result of the pain. She looked up at him and answered, "It hurts, Richard... I - I can feel it burning everything... it's everywhere..." Her stomach heaved again, and she turned away from Richard, rolling onto her side. At which point she explosively vomited on the floor, retching and coughing shortly afterward. There was blood in the vomit.

"Damn it, I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do, you're just going to have to try to deal with it. I may be able to wet a cloth, but I doubt it would help any." Richard said, seeing a sink in the lab. He could probably just a rip a piece of cloth off of somebody's sleeve if it came down to it.

Garrus managed a nod at what Simon and Rich had said. "Alright. Rich, inside my jacket's pocket is a cell phone. Hopefully it works inside here. I need you to call my brother. Don't explain many things to him, just tell him to teleport where we are and, I dunno what he'd have, I guess tell to have something that'll make a virus not affect him? He should have something like that," Garrus explained after a few coughs, trying to reach his phone himself but not managing to move much.

"No, there is no way in hell I am calling fucking Leland!" Richard shouted before looking over his teammates. He would have to swallow his pride and dislike of the man in order to save them.

"You all better appreciate this." Richard said before grabbing Garrus' phone and flipping through the contacts before dialing Leland under his entry. He figured calling the others cellphone would be his safest bet.

"Leland? No. No, I don't want him involved," Katie objected. "There has to be someone else, there has to be another way, anyone but - " She cut herself off by lapsing into another coughing fit. It sent a spike of pain through her throat, and she spat out another glob of blood before lying flat on the table again. The thrashing and the vomiting had taken a toll on her, adding to the pain caused by the virus. She knew better than to start screaming again, and she tried to lie still to conserve what little strength she had left.

But the burning didn't go away. It ravaged her nerves, giving Katie no chance of resistance. She suffered silently, occasional twitches or shakes running down an arm or leg as a muscle tweaked.

Jason watched in horror at Katie's pain, scared and angry that he couldn't do anything about it. He built up rage within him, but even that couldn't get him to his feet. Now more tired than ever, he slumps back down to the table, going into a coughing fit, spitting the remaining blood from his mouth. He was defeated by his own body (and the virus of course). He weakly turned his head towards Katie. Looking at her before silently looking up at Richard.

"As much as I hate that smug bastard, As long as it means that Katie is safe, then I don't care if he saves us." He thought before slipping into unconsciousness.

"Hello?" Leland said from his side; sounding like his normal cheery self, just a little tired sounding though.

Garrus hoped his plan would work. He knew he'd be saved if he could get Leland over here, but the others...
'Don't think like that. I'm sure I can come up with some way to save everyone,' he thought to himself, starting to shut his eyes and dozing off before waking himself up with a jolt.

Richard mustered the most professional voice he could before speaking.

"Hello, it's Richard. We have a situation on our end and Garrus suggested we ask you for help. The group and I would appreciate you coming down here as quickly as possible, and make sure to bring something that will keep you from being infected with viruses. I don't know if you already know our location or need us to tell you, so I will be leaving that up to you, but it is urgent that you get here as quickly as possible."

Richard wasn't about to give their location unless asked. Even though he knew it may be the only way to save the team, he still thought of him as an enemy, and he resisted slightly because of this.

"Um alrighty then. Give me a moment...hmm will that work? No, let's use the amulet. Give me another two seconds to figure out your location and-" Leland said from the phone, cutting off his last sentence as he appeared in the lab. He was wearing black and blue pajamas, and had on a grey toque on top of his messy, long hair. His beard was thicker than it was before, and he had a cast on his right leg with crutch underneath his right arm.

He looked around the room for a second before saying, "Well, you guys really suck at birthday presents. Huh, never thought I'd see the Professor's lab again."

Yeah, the return of Dr. Broadway~~! :D

"Yea, not a birthday present. I have no idea what Garrus was thinking, but he figured you could help. Now, I would like to know if my friend just had a virus induced hallucination or if you can actually help us." Richard said before hearing the conversation in his mind.

'Listen, I don't mind the new personality, but can ya both keep it down. The very last thing I want is Leland focusing in on my mind because one of you decided to exchange pleasantries.' Richard thought to the both of them.

'Er, hi...Queen lady. I'm not even going to ask about any of this,' Leland thought to Dona in Rich's mind, clearly somewhat out of it.

He walked his way over to his brother, putting a protective hand over his stomach and gritting his teeth in pain. "I hate having to wait for my next dosage," he said to Garrus, "So, what do you want me to do? I've never really worked with a science virus, only magical. Not sure how much help I'd be there. But I have a feeling you didn't call me here...for that."

Garrus was silent, nodding at what Leland had said. He opened his mouth a few times before grabbing Leland's collar and saying to him, "I want you to bring us all to the Lodge."

"Woah there, not sure that would be the best case," Leland replied back.
"I don't care. It's the only thing I can think of!" Garrus snapped back, still clutching his brother's collar.
"B-but I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to at least bring them, not even sure about you..." Leland trailed off.
"Oh well then we're screwed. Hey everyone we're all gonna die extremely horrible, painful deaths! Better just end yourself now!" Garrus declared, coughing up some blood. "Such a shame that we all have to die in such a way. I mean, poor me...slowly hacking up the blood filling in my lungs and having my organs fail," he said to Leland, knowing he was getting to his younger brother, "And poor Katie! She's gonna suffer all the way through to the end!"

Leland looked over at Katie, walking over to her. He put his hand against her cheek and muttered a quick spell, relieving her of the burning sensation that she had to endure. He turned back to Garrus, saying, "Alright. I'll take you to the Lodge, but if I get yelled at..."

"I'll take the blame Leland. Just make sure we all get healed," Garrus replied back.

Katie flinched away from Leland's touch, but realised she had no choice if she wanted to get better. The pain was too much for her to bear, and so she allowed him to use the spell. Whatever it was, it clearly worked, as she felt the burning recede instantly, vanishing from her limbs in a few seconds. Once the pain was completely gone, she immediately set about removing the rest of her armour, placing every single leaf, branch and twig of it to one side. She didn't want to risk contact with it, and would leave it in the lab if she went to this Lodge place Leland and Garrus were talking about.

Once she had pulled off the last of her plants, Katie sat up, turned to Leland and murmured, "I never thought I'd say this... but thank you." She started coughing again, and turned away to hack up another mouthful of blood.

"Oh it is of no problem to me. I only wish I could do more, well I guess I will be in a moment but yeah you're welcome," Leland said to her with a smile and a blush, handing her a handkerchief that he made appear in his hand.

He turned back over to Garrus, saying, "Give me a moment so that I can put another amulet over in the living room then I'll teleport you all there." He was silent for a moment, grabbing the amulet that he had had in his pocket and started muttering under his breath. After a few more seconds he put it back into his pocket before asking, "Is everyone ready to go. It'll be a somewhat weird sensation, but the floor is wood so it won't be that bad to clean up."

Richard immediately went over and gently guided Katie to lay down.

"You still aren't ready to be up and moving." He lightly chastised.

'I don't like it, but he seems well intentioned. I'm going to have to keep an eye on him, but I guess I have no choice but to accept his help.' With his course of action set, he figured he should at least be somewhat cordial.

"So, how is this going to work? I'm new to the whole magically teleporting thing, so is there some kind of special ritual or condition so that we are all transported simultanesously? Oh, and for the record, I don't trust you." He said as he looked Leland dead in the eye. Leland probably wouldn't be able to look back through the mask, but his tone was more than enough to get the point across.

"I guess... I guess so," Katie answered, accepting Leland's handkerchief and wiping the dried blood from her face before lying down with Richard's help. She tried breathing slowly and rhythmically in an attempt to avoid coughing up anything else. It seemed to work, and she turned to look at Jason while she concentrated on her breathing. Her boyfriend lay unmoving on his table, and a wave of shock ran through Katie before she noticed the faint rise and fall of his chest. She breathed a sigh of relief as she figured he was either unconscious or asleep.

"Well Richard, I imagine it's something like the teleporting of Simon. It's always gonna be a weird feeling, you just grow used to having all of you suddenly appearing in another area. It's certainly an interesting sensation, though the person who actually uses the spell usually feels it the most. But as I said you get used to it," Leland explained.

"Normally a sorcerer would have to chant a long spell, maybe make an indent or something like that. I don't since I have the teleport spell tattooed on to me. It's not cheating though, since I actually have to be able to do the spell perfectly or else...woopsie daisy I lost and arm! Made a nice shortcut for myself, painful but ever so useful," he said with a triumphant smile raising his arm up into the air in triumph, only to bring it back down clutching his stomach in pain.

"Ouchies. And I understand that you guys probably still dislike me. I'll try to remedy that though!"

"Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful you have gone out of your way to help us, as much as it pains me to say. It's just, you are the enemy, and it is foolish to blindly trust the enemy under any circumstance. That goes doubly for you, considering what you have done and are still capable of doing. Look, can we just get this over with? We don't have time to chat, and if this is some trap, I'd rather just have you spring it on us already." Richard replied as he moved to grab a beaker before filling it with distilled water used for cleaning instruments. He lifted her head before placing the beaker at her lips.

"Here, drink. With all the vomiting you've been doing as well as sweating, you have to be dehydrated."

"Thanks," Katie said, gratefully taking a mouthful from the beaker. The slight chill running through her made her feel slightly better, and she kept drinking until she had drained the contents. She shivered as she felt a slight change in her body temperature.

Something Richard had said earlier about the CDC came back to Katie, and she asked quietly, "Do you think the virus will get out? It'll be contained, right?" She retched again when she finished speaking, and quickly closed her mouth.
