Yep ready to go whenever you are.

Tommy adjusted his jacket and put the scroll inside of it. The cold wasn't really getting to him, or rather, his masculinity wouldn't let hims show the cold was having any effect.

Leland nodded as he walked down the steps of the porch and started to walk towards the forest.

"The good thing is that it's a simple trip. We don't even have to go through the forest that much," Leland told Tommy as he followed the trail to lake, pointing out all the signs that were still up from back when the Lodge was used by the public.

Richard eventually found the library, his eyes going wide at all that he saw. He looked to his left and saw scrolls and books from well before even the medieval era. He immediately turned around and walked out to find some rubber gloves so that he could read them without damaging them with the sweat and oil on his hands. He found a pair and walked back into the room. Finding the oldest scroll he could he took a seat before gingerly opening the scroll and beginning to read in silence. He had spent as much time on science and engineering in college on history and language as well. The cuneiform writing on the scroll wasn't to read due to the sheer age of the language, but he managed to get through it. The scroll detailed a history of the Babylonians that no museum or scientist had ever seen. He now knew where he would be spending the remainder of his time in the lodge. Every trouble with Simon and the team simply vanished as he poured over the scroll.

Tommy and Leland walked further down the path, Leland leading the way and Tommy close behind.

So I'm guessing you probably want to know what it is I'm planning right? We'll you see my entire body is powered by magic, it's what lets me be a super-hero. This includes my immune system. I'm planning on tapping into the Ley-lines to kick my immune system into overdrive so it can finish off the virus.

"Oh that sounds like a nice plan! Will certainly make recovery faster. My mother can only do so much when there is so many people that need to be helped," Leland said, nodding at Tommy's idea. They continued on the path for a little while longer before exiting the forest and seeing the large lake in front of them.

"Ah here it is! It's frozen over too, man wish I could skate on it. That'd be a nice way to spend the day," Leland mused after going up to the lake and standing on the edge.

Tommy smiled at their luck, thanks to the lake being frozen they wouldn't have to due the ritual while balancing on a boat. He took the scroll out of his jacket and began to walk forward, as he got close to the center of the lake the scroll began to glow. He put it down where it glowed the brightest and motioned for Leland to join him. As soon as Leland came over he handed him a note. This is the incantation, when you say it that should uncork the pent up energy here.

"Been awhile since I've done one of these," Leland said with a laugh, reading through the incantation a few times before saying it out loud with bravado.

Richard heard Dona's voice in his mind for the first time in a while.

"You transferred your consciousness into my head, developed another personality for a while, got healed, and you're still in my head. When you do leave my mind, we are at Leland and Garrus' winter lodge. Right now I'm pouring over old scrolls in a library, old and thought not to exist. We have free movement in the lodge for the most part, just be aware there are Union members here, but we aren't fighting." Richard spoke out loud but knew she would be able to hear him.

Richard heard them arguing and felt an intense throbbing until the two of them had finally left his mind. He had pushed the scroll away and gasped as they left. As soon as they were gone he checked the scroll for damage finding none, he sat back in the chair and tried to catch his breath for a few minutes before going back to reading the scroll. He was actually just glad to have his own mind back.

"Oh, you're not intruding, Aaron," Katie said, giving him a smile. "We were just about to start a practice spar, check we're both back up to full strength and all that. You're welcome to watch, if you want." She moved into the middle of a wide open space in the gym, and turned to face Jason, the almost-empty room allowing her voice to carry easily as she answered Aaron. Katie pulled the rose from her ear and caused it to sprout a few roots, binding themselves around her wrist to ensure she wouldn't drop the plant.

"Okay, big guy, let's go," she said to Jason, her expression hardening into a look of cunning.

Jason chuckled at Katie's gibing as he stretched his legs.

"Big? Heh heh, I wish I was big." He said before taking off, speeding towards her without warning.

"Okay Katie, if you see a chump running towards you, what do you do?!" He loudly asked as he neared her.

"You move out of their way and let them run headfirst into the wall," Katie answered as she simply stepped to one side to allow Jason to pass. She turned around to face him, producing a glove and a few long vines from the plant on her wrist. If Jason charged again, she would trip him. If not, the vines could easily coalesce into an extension of her arm to give her the advantage of longer reach.

"Ah yes, nothing works better than the classic sidestep!" He said as he saw himself heading towards the wall. Not slowing down, he uses his speed to run up the wall, stopping momentarily to bound off of it, soaring over Katie.

"What if the attacker is above you? Would you catch him?" He asked as he flew through the air with the greatest of ease.

Katie raised her eyebrows slightly, took a step back to ground herself, and pointed up at Jason in midair with her gloved hand. The vines shot straight to Jason's midriff, wrapping themselves around his armoured body. She turned and pointed with the same hand in the direction Jason's original flightpath would take him, and the vines acted like a whip, altering his trajectory to send him crashing into the ground a few metres away.

As soon as Jason hit the floor, Katie called the vines back, and used them to triple the thickness of her plant's glove, wrapping them around her closed fist and adding a layer of thorns to try and break through his armour. While waiting for him to get up, she answered, "No. Instead I teach them a flying lesson. What happens when you're about to crash?" She looked over at Aaron and gave him a cheeky smile.

"Oh Shi-" Jason yelped as Katie caught him in midair, making several grunts as he collided with the opposite wall, slowly sliding down before violently landing on the gym ground, making another "oof" as he did so. He popped to his feet, clapping happily for his girlfriend, chuckling at her joke.

"Yes! Very good Kate! Now, close combat time! Come at me with all you got!" He said, his armor altering as he talked.

His claws receded completely, giving his hands the sight of fingerless gloves. The blue spikes along his wrists began to shrink and fade. His mask receded as well, stopping at the bridge of his nose, showing his altered black and blue eyes.

"I won't hit back, but I will try to restrain you." He said simply as he went into a fighting stance.

Richard finished the scroll and after carefully putting it back where he found it immediately grabbed another. This one was in the language of the Minoans, and was the myth of their creation. He began to pour over the scroll just as he had the last.
