Oh, crap he can read my mind, he's gonna find out everything... Think, think, think, no don't think at all, two options, clear my head, I'm shitty at that or do the exact opposite, yes that!

Tommy took a deep breath and look at all the things around him...

Wow-do-I-love-Micky-Dees-or-what?-The-food-is-so-great-here-and-cheap-I-can-eat-like-twenty-burgers-for-ten-bucks-speaking-of-gross-overeating-I-once-saw-a-guy-drink-his-weight-in-beer-in-was-gross-because-right-after-he-vomited-it-was-brown-like-the-color-of-a-mocca-I-hate-coffee-so-much-I-just-drink-monster-when-I'm-tired-I-know-it's-bad-for-you-because-of-the-taurine-which-is-appearantly-made-from-ox-bile-I-once-milked-a-cow-named-Bessie-which-I-know-is-really-stereotypical-buy-I-like-stereotypes-not-racist-ones-but-funny-ones...

And so Tommy continued thinking every inane thing he could imagine at a speed that made ADHD children look stoic.

Leland listened and nodded at what Richard said, "Well I can always ask Major Crime to take another look at everything. I can reason him to do it using your arguments. And, by the way, that last line is a little dirty. Just f.y.i."

He then stared at Tommy with a raised eyebrow, clearly amused at what was going on. "Tommy, Tommy. You do realize that those idle thoughts can be easier to bypass than a person's normal thoughts? I doubt you do, but if I wanted to pry your brain for info I would simply do it. Instead I'm simply asking you. I'm curious, it's always rare to meet anyone that even has an interest in magic," he said to Tommy.

Katie took Jason's hand under the table, to reassure herself that he was there for her, and to tell herself that Leland's advances were little more than flirting and innuendo. "Yeah, maybe you're right," she answered after thinking over how best to word her response. "But the probability of that outcome occurring is less than that of me giving up my powers. And it's a safe bet that that isn't going to happen. So stop trying to hit on me, right now." Her voice was dead serious. It was an order, not a request.

As she spoke, Katie took a quick glance around the area, looking for something living, anything she could manipulate. She didn't find much, just a miniature cactus inside the restaurant. Everything else, even the nearby hedge, was imitation, presumably to help the business cut costs. Katie was disgusted by the lack of plant life surrounding the group.

"I'd be shocked if people weren't interested in magic." Richard said offhandedly before continuing.

"Maybe it's because I'm a scientist at heart and the unknown excites me. Maybe that's why I don't mind the advances on your part by the way, so make sure I don't figure you out or I might lose interest. But back to topic, thank you for that I guess. I got to learn quite a bit today about what I may be up against in the future, and of the other side in general. Always been a fan of knowing both sides of a conflict, and I've learned today you're more confederation than anything else."

Leland watched her intently, noticing the slight movement of her arm when it reached over to Jason. He made eye contact with Jason, taking a few peeks into his mind before looking back at Katie with a smile.
"Well I think it could happen, but I shall respect your request. However it's only going to be at this moment right here that I'm going to stop, so you're safe while this meeting is going on," he told her with a slight laugh.

"Heh, well Richard you have a similar offer on the table. But, anyways I'm glad that we were able to learn things from this meeting of the minds. 'You can learn a lot from others' as my mother would say," Leland replied, "Actually now that I think about it that's a pretty bland and vague quote..."

"Your mother sounds like a smart woman, perhaps I may meet her someday. I may have to take you up on that offer as well, but it probably won't be anytime soon. I'm not about to play out Romeo and Juliet at any point in the near future." Richard smirked as he said. Leland wasn't the only one who could flirt.

"Perhaps you will. She doesn't get out much, but considering everything a meet-up is eventual," Leland replied, clearly happy that he was getting somewhere with someone, "Alright. It's no problem. I can wait."

"Good, they say the wait makes the reward all the better.I'm just not one to have a relationship with someone I will have to fight later on." He replied, still keeping his smirk.

Katie had relapsed into silence, watching Leland and Richard converse. She kept her hold on Jason's hand, though. She had nothing more to say unless she was addressed, preferably if someone was talking about a different topic.

"Makes sense," Leland said to Richard, looking back over at Katie for a few seconds before looking at everyone else at the table.

Alright heading off for the night. I expect posts in the morning!

Khrys woke from her rest, having spent it hidden away. She awoke much more relaxed, the last dreams she had been the hunted but this time she dreamed of rivers run red with revenge. She thought it was significant how it made her feel but it wasn?t like she could do anything about how she felt inside.

Freshening up she carefully folded her green skirt to not show through the pants she pulled on and another lose shirt over the halter that passed as her costume. Shoes and nails to conceal visible signs of her claws and her red hair pulled back into a high ponytail.

Khrys looked into the mirror and felt all worry and fear drain away to just a slight anticipation at the thought of a possible fight as she imagined the predator in her eyes looked back. Spinning on her heel Khrys strode out and headed to the McDonalds's meeting, it was silly to have everyone there at the same time after all. Mother said fashionably late was best.

Khrys walked into the dinning room glancing around casually, her vision not really better than a normal's but she was used to using her peripheral vision, keeping the group visible out of the corner fo her eye feeling tension flicker through her at the unusual group. Something is wrong...very wrong.

Which group are you talking about? Richard, Tommy, Birras, Jason and Katie are all out at the McDonald's, so you may want to edit your post if Khrys is still at the Promenade.

Aaron rolled around in his car seat. For a small car it was way more comfortable then his own bed back at the Promenade. He awoke to the sound of his radio blasting some old country music.

"Where the fuck am I," Aaron thought to himself before remembering what was going on.

He opened the glove compartment and grabbed some binoculars. He decided to check on the meeting. Everything seemed normal to him but he decided to continue to watch.

I knew this was going to happen :/ Can someone fill me in?

Simon continoued to watch from his post across the street, keeping his eyes on the group at the table. Someone had turned on there communicator and he had been able to listen in on the whole conversation so far.

Taking a sip of coffee, he couldn't help but feel a sense of bad. Something was going to happen, going to snap soon and they needed him to be ready when that time came.

Exam time!

Thanks for keeping me in the loop!

Jason sternly stared back at Leland as he made repetitive hits on Katie. It may not have looked like much on the outside, but his thoughts were calmly going batshit crazy on the inside.

"This smug bastard! Who the fuck does he think he is?!?! He's lucky he has all this "immense power", or i'd have a field day all over his smug fucking face!!" He fumed in his head.

The stern stare gradually formed into a scowl. His grip on Katie's hand unknowingly tightened slightly.

Good luck on your exam Quad. And souldemon if you still need a summary just PM me and I'll write one up for you.

"So," Leland started after there were a few minutes of awkward silence, "Another member in a car, and another just walked in. You don't have to bring them in on this meeting though, no real point anymore...I think it's almost done. The stuff that you wanted Richard are back in their cases, I did keep a few but that's because I doubt you actually know the significance behind them."

"And I'm fine with not learning about where you guys got the magic stuff...I'll learn in time. Honestly I think I've gotten basically all I wanted to from this meeting, almost," Leland added motioning to Katie and shrugging.

"Fair enough Leland. Perhaps you can send me what the importance of those missing items actually is. I've always been a fan of the history of the pieces, and anything I can learn from would be rather appreciated." It was a good thing Richard had thought over what had happened in his house last night. If he hadn't had the epiphany he had, things could have gone south very quickly.

"Simply they have properties beyond those you can understand, if you catch my drift," he replied with a laugh.

Drake sat silently, staring at the untouched McDonalds meal on the table infront of him. He kept his arms crossed, looking up every now and again to examine the various 'heroes' around him. He didn't know why Leland had decided upon a meeting with these people, why bother sitting down in a fast food chain with people that hate you, just as much as you hate them?

Drake didn't have anything against them yet though, at the moment they were simple obstacles in the way. He guessed they would soon obstacles to gut, in time.

He didn't really understand what went on inside Leland's pysche in general, but he didn't care. Leland was working for the people that could give Drake money, that made him a colleague. He looked over at Requiem, he appeared to be Leland's personal bodyguard, but he didn't care much for him either.

Work was work and Leland was boss, he seemed to be able to get things done, even if it involved a long, dramatic start.

"I don't see why we should stay here any longer" he muttered under his breath, tired of the idle chit-chat with these upstart 'super-heroes'.

Hi everybody, I'm playing the villain Drake/Husk, the quiet one sat next to Leland. Nice to finally be here, hope to have many violent encounters with you in the future!
