"I'm sure they are magical items, or else you wouldn't bother. I just wish to know their stories. They are probably pieces simply identified as 'religious artifacts', I'd like to know what their actual history is and what they were used for. Doesn't need to be anytime soon, but I would like to know at some point before my death, which may actually be pretty damn soon with the way things have been going lately. I'm also not asking to know how to use them or what they do, just what they had to tell me but were never able to." He responded.

The hairs of the back of Khrys' neck stand up and she lets her gaze wander trusting to her hearing to warn her of danger. She felt distinctly uneasy here and wondered if the others were in danger. She should do something if they were but what?

Unable to decide she just tried to blend win with the crowd.

"Doubt you'd be able to use them anyways Rich. But you have my word that I'll tell you about them in the future; I myself need to figure it all out first though," Leland replied before turning to Drake, "Come now, this is fun. All of us sitting here, each coming up with ways to kill the others for the most part. I quite like how...intense it all is."

Simon continoued to watch the meeting, sensing that the whole thing was coming to a close, he flipped out one of his knives just in case.

Katie wondered what Leland had meant by "everything he'd wanted", but quickly dismissed it, instead continuing to mentally search for a closer form of plant life other than that stunted cactus. She felt Jason tighten his grip on her hand, and tried to relax her own to avoid him hurting her a little.

Sadly, I'm gonna be out for most of the day. Two badly-timed lectures and my ballroom dance class give me about an hour online.

Aaron stretched and started to flip through the radio. The regular boring stuff was on so he decided to try out his new CPU. He ended up surfing the web and got caught up reading Wikipedia article on asparagus.

Feeling Katie's grip loosen on his hand, Jason looked down to see that he was tightening his grip out habit...out of anger. He quickly loosened his grip before giving a look at the guy sitting across from him.

"Your friend is right. If you have nothing else to say, then we have no real reason to be here anymore." Jason said to Leland in a low tone.

"Just give us what is ours, and we'll be on our way." He added sternly.

"Last I checked I did give you what you wanted, unless there is something else you had in mind?" Leland replied with a curious grin.

"We're done here guys, lets leave before things get any more messier than they need to be"

Simon whispered into his communicator, seeing the tension in the place starting to bubble into anger

"Hey Simon what can you see on your end?" Aaron asked trying to get a better view.

Leland smiled moving towards Requiem, whispering a few things to him ending it with a, "It'll look like you were here to whole time." Requiem nodded and got up, heading inside the restaurant to go to the bathroom.

"No sense making people worried of course. So, Drake I'm thinking E-R-L-L what do you think?" Leland asked Drake who thought for a moment before saying, "How about E-R-L-F?"

"Le sigh, alright. We'll do things like that then," Leland replied with a scoff before turning to Jason. He made a quick hand gesture before saying, "Turned your communicator off. Left it on, for shame. No point in letting your friends hear about what's going to happen, and don't try to send them signals or anything, to them it still looks like we're all having a nice little chat still."

Argh I hate it when BSJ gets off, now I have to control his guy. Can be so annoying. Anyways let's get this party started.

Jason smirked at Leland and Drake.

"Y'know, at first, I didn't want to start a fight around all these civilians, but now, I'm starting to reconsider it!" He said excitedly as Erebus began to form. Clearly his anger was getting the best of him.

Quickly, he flipped out of the chair, shedding his clothes in midair, and landed before getting into a fighting stance.

"You want some?! Let's do this!!" He yelled with slight glee in his voice.

"Tsk, tsk so eager for a fight. Normally I'd mentally make you regret it but I certainly don't think Katie here would want me to hurt you...so I'll leave that for Drake," Leland said as Drake lept up and tackled Jason into the street.

"See now this is what I love about illusions. Everyone is seeing everything as if we were still chatting. It's completely wonderful, ah don't try to help your friend, believe me you have much more to worry about," Leland laughed as everything in the heroes vision (those at the restaurant) started to change color.

"Except you of course Katie. I'll exempt you from this. Still I think you'd fight back so," he started magically keeping her in her seat and pushing her slightly away.

Aaron got a weird feeling. He noticed that two recent heat signatures, one being Jason and some one he picked up in the restaurant. Though when he looked neither of them was in the street. Aaron started the car and slowly drove over to get a closer look.

"Everything looks normal so far Aaron"

Simon said through his communicator. As the sun suddenly peaked through the clouds, he slipped on a pair of dark shades

"Would you try getting a bit closer? The sun is starting to get in my eyes a bit so I can't really see"

Requiem slowly climbed onto the rooftop where Simon was, getting out his luger and looking over the area. Once he was sure that he would not be detected he crept his way towards Simon not making a single sound for he had been trained to do objectives like this.

He pressed his luger at Simon's head and grabbed Simon's arm that was holding a knife. He made a few beeping sounds as he threw Simon against the rooftop, clearly showing that he was not to be toyed with.

Aaron parked across the street from the McDonald. He still sensed the heat signatures though he didn't actually see anything. He leaned up against the car observing the restaurant.

"Damn how long do they got to talk for," Aaron thought before lighting a cigarette.

As the two flew through the window, Jason turned in midair, Causing Drake to land on the ground instead of himself. As they hit the ground, the villain's grip loosened on Jason, causing him to break free of his grip. The hero quickly flipped out of Drake's arms and recovered with a strange grace that you would see in circus acrobats.

"Hm. You blindsided me. How about I leave you a gift for all your trouble?" Jason growled as he ran up to Drake. His open claw connected with Drake's face, leaving deep, bloody scars in their wake.

"Now, that was just payback for attacking me when I wasn't ready. How about you get up, and then maybe this fight can be fair?" Jason said before giving a deep, sinister laugh.

Yup, his anger was definitely getting the best of him.
