I am enraged at that illiterate fool. Anybody can put out a song titled like that and get a bazillion dollars- because it's two things that everybody likes!

Why not release a song called Ferrari Snow Day?

Hmmm. Tough decision. Boom Boom Pow was many times more annoying to me than anything brokencyde put out, because they got more airtime than those odd emo kids.

But as for hemorrhaging of the auditory canals, brokencyde takes the cake.

That has to be a joke. There's no way that group is serious...right?

Party in the USA, anyone?
My biggest issue with that song is that she mentions a Jay-Z song on the radio.

I always thought that Jay-Z had beef with radio cause he don't play their shows, but they don't play his hits, and he didn't give a shit, so...

*sigh* I wish it was a joke. But it's not even that funny of a joke.

Austrian Death Machine is a better joke band than some "real" bands.

This song is awful. It's played over and over and the auto-tuning makes me want to stab my ears.

Indeed. That fat fuck should be fed to starving animals. Who buys that crap?
You think thats bad, listen to face drop by him

"'Cause you always try to fill me with doubt
Sayin' that I look better if I was thinner
Don't you know you shoulda love me for my inner
When I left you, yo, I came out a winner"

Miley Cyrus - Hoedown Throwndown.

First time I'd ever screamed at someone for putting it on, even fell out with the lass that got everyone listening to it because of how terrible it was.

Agreed, I've never forgiven my sisters for liking her in the first place.

Don't make this more complicated than need be. The obvious answer is "anything played on anything touted as popular radio."
you can't dislike something merely because its popular. By that logic the Beatles are terrible (even if you don't like them they're still a good band if that makes sense; in terms of their contribution to the music industry)

Although you could just mean current radio; at which point still in correct. Sure radio has to appeal to the masses so you get some generic crap but every so often a genuinely new and interesting band will get a break. Also you forget Radio DJs (looking at you radio 1) have to seen as new and edgy and a little bit out there, they can't appear too popular so will bring the attention of the masses to some random little band that's half way decent to appear cool.

La Roux - In For The Kill This woman sounds like a cat in a bag being drowned in the River Thames whilst a mega phone is taped to it's gob.
i will kill you for that...
2009 has had nothing but great music i heard someone say bonkers thats a tune!
Someone else who appreciates these kind of songs. Do you agree with me that lyric wise they may not be amazing but when they're put on as dance music it really doesn't matter.
i know right its the same witha lot of songs like poker face isent that bad

Put it this way - there's a reason I stopped listening to chart music four years ago; I needed to insulate my impressionable young mind against the sort of mainstream crap that gets released at the moment. Unfortunately, that means I'm so out of touch with music that I can't tell you what songs were and weren't released this year.

The band that really gets under my skin, though, is Kings of Leon. I'm sure they're more musically talented than other nominees on the list, but they're on the station I listen to on the way to school all the fucking time, and I just cannot stand them. Their music is just...nothing...Whatever that song is of theirs where they talk about 'Don't you need somebody' or whatever the lyrics are. I nominate that song.

I...

I want to hurt them. So very badly. I want to beat their scrawny asses into the ground for that crime against neural impulses from the cocccyx in response to concentrated vibrations of outside particles (i.e. sound).

Oooh, so many ear-drum-burstingly terrible songs to choose from...here's a selection.

Lady GaGa - Poker Face
Lady GaGa - Just Dance
Lady GaG...you know what, Lady GaGa's whole discography shortens my lifespan.

Black Eye Peas - Boom Boom Pow. Everytime I hear it, I need to immeadietly switch to some heavy metal to purge my eardrums of the evil.

Flo Rida - Right Round. Maybe I'm just being bitter and resentful, but this song is a BLATANT rip-off of one of my favorite songs: "You Spin Me Round" by Dead of Alive. If you want a comparison, look below. (The better REAL one is on the bottom)

All of it except for Greenday's 21st Century Breakdown album.
serious? their new album was atrocious, boring and repetitive. Green day, to me, has ripened, fallen off the branch and begun to rot while releasing a particularly nasty stench.

well, to me, anything by PINK, Miley cyrus or the jonas brothers takes the cake, with the latter two...i just realise the scary level of control Disney has over america. my god, Jonas brothers had how many songs in the top 10? their popularity even spread as far as here in Australia! the mindless hoardes would <3 anything if they heard it enough times in the add breaks between hannah montana and the suite life of zack and cody (i know this better than anyone because unfortunately we get disney channel, and my brother is 9 years old).

but that aside, i think my first nomination goes to -

Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling

i'll admit, i actually liked their last album, but now they've conformed to the style of utter trash that is modern day rnb.
Where singers who can't sing or write, can make fortunes by masking that they cant sing by electronifying their own singing, and by making the lyrics and beat so simple, that an earthwork could sing along after hearing only half of a single song...wearing earmuffs.
But if they're reeeally pro they might even speed up or alter an existing song with added...you guessed it... RAPPING! :D

which is the category my second, and preferred song to win this goes into:

Flo rida's - right round.

his rip off of i think Dead or Alive's - you spin me right round
which is actually a decent song!
*twitch*
wow, that was long, sorry.
