I can't believe it took three pages for someone to point out these mistakes.

Some of us don't nitpick incessantly. I could have pointed out those errors, but I felt it would have been needlessly pedantic. The foolish content of the OP's first post annoyed me more.

I take it you don't find anything delicious in someone showing ignorance of routine grammar in the same sentence that they decry someone else's level of education...

I grew out of being a pedantic teenager, if that's what you mean. I'm confident in my grasp of grammar, so I don't feel the need to correct every error I see. I leave that to people like you, and it would appear that you're doing a fine job.

However, it appears you haven't grown out of being smug and condescending. Or out of making assumptions about other people's behaviour that you extrapolate from the huge total of one experience. Maybe if you were confident in yourself generally rather than just in your grammar you wouldn't make conceited comments about "some of us" on forums. Nice job on the misplaced ageism too.

Hey guys,

So tonight at church, my friend was playing the theme from inside Link's house on piano (from Zelda OOT obviously) and this kid who was probably 13 came up and said, "Legend of Zelda is such a gay game!"
"Why do you say that?" I inquired
"Because you run around as a gay little elf!"
"You're retarded" I replied.
"You know what is an awesome game" he said "WWE vs Smack down!"
"Now THAT'S a gay game! You watch 2 muscular sweaty men in underpants touch each other!"
I then turned back to my friend and kept listening to him play piano.

Is the constant stream of crap that kids think constitutes a brilliant game destroying their fragile young minds? Surely there are some of you out there who know people like this or know of young gamers who know a crap game from a good one?

I have only played a few zelda games and have never played wrestling games or have (willingly) watched wrestling on tv, but wwe/smackdown are overrated, fake and stupid as opposed to zelda's being just underrated and fake

I would say it is a difference of opinion; he's fully entitled to think Zelda is crap if he wants. I for one liked the originals but refuse to play the later ones as they're all basically a string of remakes (not saying the original ones are better. Just saying I stopped caring about Zelda after Link to the Past).

However, anyone who likes Wrestling games IS certifiably retarded, so I guess your stance is justified.

Well, I'm a younger gamer and I can certainly say that, while a disappointing number of us are like that, I can definitely say that I can tell a crap game from a good one and if you ever see that kid again then I'd recommend slapping him upside his face for giving younger gamers such a bad name.

Why because he is expressing his love for another and his hate for something else? If I ever see you I would like to give you a good slap. I never found to much fun out of legend of zelda, no I don't think it was the best game of all time, so now you hate me?

Sorry, I have a bit of a habit of being more harsh than I mean to be. The thing that gets on my nerves is less the game of his preference, but the fact he's so close-minded to call any game he doesn't like "gay", which is unfortunately a common problem.

So yeah, sorry about how harsh I sounded there.
