I'm curious as to where soldiers are going to be finding live power lines in a battlefield. Special forces I assume would though. Sounds like a cool program can't wait to see what comes out of it.

Oh dear GOD!!!

First the Army is giving up on trying to get soldiers to do push ups and now this. The end is nigh and it is geeky.

Funny acronym.

As far as the validity of the program is concerned, I'd probably be more apt to get behind spending further billions of dollars to better equip our soldiers if we averaged more than one justifiable war per fucking century.

Also, please, someone try to guilt trip me about the plight of our soldiers. The powers that be are completely reliant on your unflinching, unquestioning support to justify any and all military action - so long as it's under way, of course.

i always knew the airforce was the coolest branch of the US military.

space cyberwarfare stargates and now batman? seriously? okay this just isnt fair to the other four.

you can argue whether its right or not, but you cant argue the coolness.
We sure are. Now, onto the SHIELD program of personal Iron Man Air Force Fighter Suits!

OT: Amusing choice, but curious why they chose investing in ground personal for the Air Force instead of the other branches. Security Forces don't carry around excess gear unless deployed, which is even then usually just as a guard for a base. Interesting.
The vast majority of the Air Force never actually fly. Before any pilot can take flight it takes literally an army of support personnel to maintain equipment and vehicles, arm them, inspect them and have them ready for duty. Besides support personnel you have tower operators making sure that what's up is suppose to be up and whats down is not in the way. As matter of fact the Air Force have an elite team of soldiers called forward operators who aid special forces units on the field by coordinating equipment drops and air support (they can call in bomb runs too). When not aiding the other branches they are trained to enter any airport or landing field (civilian or military)that has been captured and work as flight control operators so that more supplies and personnel can enter theater.

P.S.
I forgot to mention that they are also responsible for all internet security for the US military but they have had issues in that regard. If you are wondering I was thinking of joining after college to get tuition money to become a Cisco Engineer so the Ar Forces communication duties interest me.

Despite the fact that you are completely rude, I will answer you.

You want soldiers not to get shot up, mutilated, or lug 160 pounds of gear around? I want that too. I don't hate the enlisted personnel, I feel pity for them. Misguided or forced by poverty, they are citizens and deserve a lot better than what they have now.

So let's get them out of Afghanistan and Iraq. And Somalia, Bosnia, Japan, Germany and the 400+ other military bases and countries they are stuck in around the world. What the fuck are they doing there? "Protecting our freedoms", uh huh, sure. Protecting the corporate interests of the elites, actually. And as soon as any soldier gets out, with PTSD or without, yeah good luck getting anything from the Veterans Administration. Do they get job assistance? No. Does Blackwater get billions of dollars? Yeah. How ignorant can you be? Where do you get your news, Fox? The system chews these people up and throws them away. If you actually knew anything about the military you would be ashamed of your simplistic jingoistic trash.

Maybe you should stop worrying about Duke Nukem Forever or whatever and read a fucking book. The only one benefiting from these pointless, unwinnable wars are defense contractors who make millions of dollars every day, overcharging the government for everything from Blackwater bullshit to Halliburton base crap to Predator kill drones.

If you're happy with that, go ahead and suck some military industrial cock and get a job rooting for the Pentagon and global imperialism. I chose otherwise.

Making stupid aspersions and ad hominem attacks about what you imagine I would think the money should be spent on just makes you look stupid, by the way. As if the rest of your post didn't already accomplish that.
I shouldn't really need to reply considering your reception here but I will. I find it funny you talk about me being 'rude' considering the high horse you rode in here on.

It's become apparent you probably don't even care if the liberal buzzwords you keep tossing around, like 'jingoism' and 'global imperialism', actually apply. You're falling back on the usual threatened liberal approach which is to start painting the opposing side with the same broad brush you use for anyone who disagrees with your ideas, but in doing so you missed the mark.

Never watched Fox News, never voted Republican or Democrat, and spent four years in the Navy as a Nuclear Power Technician. It's funny you should tell me to 'read a fucking book' as I probably have read more before I was 18 than you ever will. That, and my degree in Computer Science might have required a bit of reading and a little bit of intelligence as well.

I see all the usual targets getting blamed here (Fox News, Halliburton, Blackwater, yadda yadda) yet no mention of the continuing and escelating war under your newly elected Messiah and his council and no rage about the Patriot Act now that you think you own the place. You talk about 'caring for the soldiers' but you really couldn't care less. It's the same lip service given by Neo-Cons when they talk about 'caring for the liberated' in the countries they invade.

If you actually gave a shit about anyone other than yourself you'd have understood the point of the program is to make these soldiers, who you care about so much, have a beter chance of making it back home and not dying in a foreign country. But as we've seen, that would just allow for more wars, so you'd rather they just carry their weight in gear and armor and die more often. Makes a more compelling case for stopping the war.

Oh, and blow it out your ass, you little cocksucker. Always bet on Duke.

If the Canadian Air Force was comprised of Batmen, I would feel much safer.

EDIT: I can't believe how perfect that picture is for this article.

I have admit, it would be pretty awesome if the military was comprised entirely of thousands of Adam Wests.
The world would be a safer place once again! God bless you, Adam West!
