Glad they do websites exclusively for people like me -flex-

Okay jokes aside... Yeah this a little harsh however I guess when the sites looking for beautiful people (subjectivity aside) its going to want members of high attractiveness. Would be like a fat guy getting banned off of a Thin people only site.

I've never dated on the internet, but I do have friends and family who have done so extensively, with mixed results. So anyone who's more in the know than me, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Especially if this is a pay site, I'd say that most of the people on there don't think that they have enough time to go out and be social and meet someone that way, have low self esteem because they think they are ugly, are looking to realize some odd sexual fetish, are looking to cheat, or are, far more often than any of the others, batshit.

Let me get this straight. They're getting rid of everyone who doesn't meet (someone's) arbitrary standard of beauty, which begs the question (I can really only speak for the straight guys), is the judge a tit man? Or does he like 'em rail thin? Does he believe that real women have curves? Does he find tall women freakishly odd-looking or otherwise intimidating? Does he like girl-next-door facial features or the more modelesque cold, stark features? Regardless, even if they can get rid of all of the "ugly" women and achieve their goal, doesn't that mean that the only ones left would be people who are so stupid that they're totally socially inept in spite of being absolutely striking (we've all met people like this. The universal response is "how have you survived this long?"), members who want someone to pee on them, a crime of passion waiting to happen, and a whole slew of crazy, crazy people. Tie you up and cut off your dick crazy. Drug you up and talk to you about their father crazy.

If a show like Punk'd worked like this, I'd actually watch. Also-

fuck 'em.

hey I heard of this site, I'm a member. I'm glad us beuatiful people have a place to go where you... Normies, should not be, defiling our sanctum to bask in the warmth and glow of what you could only hope obtain. begone from here those descended of shrek, how dare you try to steal credit and look good by even being in my presence.

Besides, ugly people have their own site. its called the people of walmart. HI-O!

...

Oka, but seriously (all sarcasm and joking aside), I'm not sure how to feel about this. One part of me wants to say its nice tehre's somewhere in the world where it teaches you the harsh reality that not everyone is beautiful (physically) and that I dont hav eto pretend that the girl with acne, coke bottle glasses, and bucked tooth braces is on the level of the slut that looks like a model (call me a bad person, go ahead, but its true, and I'm rather tired of it just so I can spare their feelings). BUt on the other hand, it makes me rather upset that this place exists, because beauty is subjective, and the girl with acne, coke bottle glasses, and bucked tooth braces is a much nicer person in personality then the model slut.

I suppose int he end, I'm glad this site exists, cause it makes it easier to identify who I want to be involved in horrible debilitating accidents.

The site is just so stupid. Not even talking about the ugly people thing. Good looking people DON'T NEED a dating site to find another person. I'm sure they get asked out like every other day. I know several girls who are just -moderately- attractive and they get asked out all the time when they are at work. And that's just at work.
No, not necessarily true.
I know a damn beautiful guy, but he is single. Not because he wants it, but because most people are 'scared' to ask him out. Most girls think "nah, he' way out of my league, he won't even think about it. He's to shy on his own to ask a girl he likes to go out. So yeah, he has it hard.

A shame he's not gay, or bi at least. lol

Point is, really beautiful guys who aren't really confident about them self have a really hard time finding someone. Girls on the other hand have it a bit easier (most guys are just to horny and ask every girl out), but they also can have some problems finding a partner.

But isn't beauty also subjective? I think of myself as a really good looking guy, now I'm sure others would agree. But there would also be those would think I look like shit.
No. There has always been standards, with everything.

I remember this happened last year as well and my opinion hasn't changed. It's called fucking beautifulpeople.com, it's obviously looking for more attractive people and the name would imply that's it's run by obnoxious pricks!

Also, what Lilani said, post 32.

The kicker is, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. I have many friends with different ideals of hotness, from Zoombie girls they see in movies, to RL amputees and 1000Lb women/Men.

I dunno, Greg Hodges doesn't look like anything special himself.

I understand why the site would do this, but it still seems like an extremely dickish way to do it.

Sorry, I thought I was clear that I thought that. I honestly just don't get what some guys like in a woman, so I don't expect everybody to get what I like. I don't get how anyone, and I mean anyone, can be attracted to a guy at all, but I occasionally reap the benefits of this strange-ass phenomenon, so I'm not one to gripe about that either. But I do normally find in situations like this where some elitist prick is holding everybody to what passes for his standard of beauty is that what makes the cut looks to me very, very ugly.

Pop quiz. Which one of the above things is not Christ-like?

That's correct, Timmy. All of them. Next question: if there is a Hell, are the operators of this web site most definitely going there?

Ya, because people should be able to go wherever they want. "Oh, you have no right to kick me out of your author club just because my only book is a turd on a paper." The site's goal is for beautiful people to meet eachother. Nobody has the right to make them allow uglies in. So cry, cry, cry.
Accept beauty is something that is in the eye of the beholder and as a dating site they have just as much right to find a date as you or I do.

Not to mention that if beauty comes at the price of being an extreme snobby to others, then I'd rather stay average thank you very much.

I say it is fine.

It is a site for beautiful people. It is his site, he can do what he wants.

I'm completely fine with stuff like this, it's their site and they can do whatever the fuck they want it. I have no interest in communicating with people this shallow.

However, Mr. Hodge isn't really the epitome of beauty himself haha! He takes care of his appearance though, and really, that's the only thing that matters if you want to be beautiful. Rarely do I see people that are really ugly, as in nothing can be done. Just take care of yourself, be confident and anyone can be good looking.

If they're so beautiful, why do they need internet dating?
Why would anyone ever use facebook when you can meet people face to face?
Let's get rid of telephones, IM and texting while we are at it then.

Didn't know Balrog (Vega/Claw/whatever) from Street Fighter had a dating site. That said, might be an interesting experiment to sign up and see if you get banned. If only to see if a select group of usernames with jpegs on the Internet think you're good looking or not...
