XII is my "secret" favorite, I just love amount of work that went into making the world feel real and believable for once, with tons of history, culture and realistic politics infused into it. I just loved it, and to me story oozed from every pore of the world, even if the core narrative wasn't everything it could have been.Carnagath said:XII is my personal favorite, since I dislike random encounters, and I love both its combat and its Gambit system, so much in fact that since I played it I find it impossible to go back and replay games like Lost Odyssey, I can't stand them. XII is also probably the most hardcore single player RPG I have ever played. The story is passable and easy, but the optional content is where the true game is. There is an enormous amounts of sidequests to do, and if you complete everything you will be able to unlock some of the longest, hardest and most satisfying boss fights you have ever seen in gaming (one of them took me about 11 hours to beat).

Oh balls I forgot VI. That was a good 'un too.wolfy098 said:6,7,9
HOW DARE YOU BAD MOUTH FFX!!! jk. It will always be my favorite but a big part of why I like it so much is probably because it was the first FF I ever completely played through. I never played IX but the characters seem much less likable than those in X. And I thought VII was alright but nowhere near "the best" like everyone seems to think it is. VI is my second choice, Kefka was one crazy mother fucker!Circus Ascendant said:I am AMAZED at how many people think that X wasn't a massive pile of turd. Its story was NOTHING on the previous three games, had a basic cast and the dialogue was shockingly written (for a change) and acted (bad move in the first place).
VII, VIII and IX are the best. IX is THE best, VIII would have tied with it if you could actually name all the characters.
If it wasn't for your avatar, Auron would rape you for bad mouthing X. Watch yourself...secretsantaone said:Great: VIII, V
Good: VII, VI
Meh: IV, III
Awful: X, XII
Well those are the ones I played at least.
X had awful voice acting, boring combat and the worst upgrade system ever. Come on, sphere grid? Really?
Edit: Also, goddamn blitzball
I love you so much in a very non-gay way.Batadon said:Plots/Graphics be damned, FFI, FFIII, and FFV played the best.
Kefka ruled - which is why Kuja's so badass, he's like Sephiroth and Kefka mixed together =PTHEMILKMAN said:HOW DARE YOU BAD MOUTH FFX!!! jk. Um what? Are you forgetting someone?wouldyoukindly99 said:No, it's awful. The characters are unlikable and the combat is stupid.Distorted Stu said:It any good? Worth buying?rokkolpo said:i,ve sadly only played 12 so i guess 12.
