"Uh, right!" Darrel replied. He fumbled in his sweatshirt's pocket for a moment, before coming up with a bright red Pokeball. He threw it at the Ghastly, the ball mysteriously knocking against its incorporeal body before sucking it in, and beginning to wiggle on the floor. Spike and Darrel watched in anticipation, to see if their efforts would pay off.
After returning home from the Pokecenter, Eric sneaked into his house for what he hoped was the last time. Managing to avoid his father, who was fast asleep in his chair listening to Professor Oak on the radio, he changed quickly into his signature green jacket, jeans and his black T-shirt with a Pokeball picture on it.
Goodbye Poke'apron! I'll never have to... Wait!
Eric pulled out 6 premire Pokeballs from the big front pocket and a potion. He stuffed them into a faded orange backpack, where he had the rest of his supplies. He put on the pack, thinking about the journey ahead.
I need more pokemon! I need to go out and find them somehow. I don't want to go south though, I've always wanted to head towards Goldenrod first.
He stealthily made his way outside although he could of swore his father's Noctowl had winked at him in her sleep.
Once outside and out of hearing distance he shouted with joy.
"Goodbye Violet city!"
He walked with determination towards the tower so he could jump onto the western road and hightail it out of there.
He stopped when he saw Alex and another trainer celebrating about something. Walking up to them, he grinned.
"Well, I'm off on an adventure now! I'll battle you another time Alex!"
He looked at Darrel and looked at the still Pokeball. "You caught a Pokemon? Awesome! I'm Eric but you can call me Lucky. What did you catch?"
I would battle him but I'm outnumbered again. Well, that's the first thing I'll go do!
What do you know, you go off and have fun in RL and people RP without you. Go figure
It would seem its too late for me to linger though so I'll call it a night. Hopefully I'll catch you guys online tomorrow
Gereld had left the Tower dejected, irritated that he had not gotten to get in to train, so, sighing as he opened the doors to the pokemon center, he saw Matt,who looked rather worried, and Lily, who was talking to some stranger with some sort of blue... thing. Curiousity Made him go up to the pair and Say" Hi. My name is Gereld, and I'd like to ask, What Kinda pokemon is that?"
Eric got no answer from, Darrel, only panicked screaming from he and his Mankey. He scooped the Pokeball off the ground and ducked behind Alex. He peeked out to see him standing there, and said "How the hell did you get in here? I had to fight the Elder before he'd even open the doors!"
I hate this site. What would be a fair paragraph anywhere else is two lines here.
Alex looked from Eric to Darrel. "Darrel here just caught a ghastly." Suddenly Horus flung himself at Eric hitting him dead on in the stomach with a tackle. "Oh my god! I am so sorry! No! Bad Horus!" Alex grabbed Horus who had become sedate once more. Horus bleated stupidly at Eric. Alex glared at his infuriatingly stupid Mareep. "As you can probably tell this is my newest pokemon. Horus. Although I'm kind of thinking that he's got geodudes in his head instead of a brain."
Darrel sneaked back out from behind Alex, Spike glaring angrily at Eric, for scaring he and his trainer. Darrel looked at his Pokeball. "Yeah, it's a Ghastly all right. Let's check the moves..." After a quick scan, Darrel smiled. "Hypnosis and Lick. Pretty cool, if you ask me. Now what do I call you...?" He snapped his fingers, a devilish grin on his face. "I've got it! Come on out, Puck!"
He tossed the Pokeball to the floor, out of which popped Puck, his new Ghastly. It looked around for a moment, confused, before turning to Darrel and laughing in an oddly melodramatic voice. It charged Darrel and gave him a Lick, which froze him in place as the Pokemon chuckled to itself. A moment passed before Darrel could move again, and he stared at his Ghastly curiously. He shuffled through his pockets before coming up with a flashlight. He shined it on Puck, his only response was an observational "Huh."
He turned to the other trainers. "Hey guys, Ghastly are supposed to have purple gas, right? This one's blue."
To differentiate Puck from the other Ghastly I was informed of, I made him Shiny. Is that okay?
"Oh, hi, Gerald!" She smiled at the boy as he approached. "Where have you been this whole time?"
The boy stared back with wide empty eyes, remaining silent.
"Um, alright... This little thing here..." she explained, picking up the Pokemon, "is a Bagon! It's like a cute little monster!" she shook it and made a high pitched squeal. "Rawr!"
Realizing how thoroughly she had embarassed herself, she put Bagon down and blushed. Trying to move on, she turned back to the Bagon's owner. "Anyway... Sorry to say, but I'm not part of any group. It's just me and my Eevee!" she said proudly.
"My name's Jason, nice to meet you. As Lily said this is my Bagon, I just got him actually." Jason said, turning to Gerald and giving a small smile before turning back to Lily.
"An Eevee? I've heard that Eevee is a pretty rare Pokemon, your lucky to have one." Jason said, taking out a Pokeball and putting his hyper Bagon back inside of it. He tucked the Pokeball away after it shrunk, placing it on his belt for safe keeping. He looked back up and sighed, realizing just how tired and hungry he was from today's journey.
"Do you know were I can get some food or something? I walked here from Azalea Town today and I'm starving." Jason said, his stomach grumbling slightly so only he could hear.
Alex rummaged through his bag. He seemed to be annoyed and he then found the object he was looking for. He then pulls out a pair of thick glasses and put them on. "You're right! Interesting. It must be a shiny Ghastly. They're really rare!" Horus bleated in the background and head-butted a pillar. Alex shouted "Horus! Return!" He placed the ball on his hip and gestured that they should start heading down the flight of stairs.
Darrel nodded. He pointed Puck's Pokeball at it and said "Come on then, let's get moving." Puck sighed and looked a little disappointed when Darrel called him back, the red beam illuminating the room for a quick moment. Satisfied, Darrel clipped the ball to a weird attachment to his belt that looked almost like a coin holder, but instead of rolls of coins it held miniature Pokeballs. Spike climbed up onto his head and picked through his hair a bit as he made his way down the stairs with the others. "So," he said to Alex. "I guess I'll be out training, and then I can challenge Falkner in the morning. You planning on hitting the Gym any time soon?"
Also, I've updated my post on the first page under Slivers, everyones sheet's are on there, and going to have their pokemon and items and other such important information added as we go.
Matt could see the other speaking to the new guy, but he didnt pay him too much thought. He had too much on his mind at the moment, mainly about how a group of monks of all people could attack and try to kill an innocent pokemon as they did. He was sure that if he hadnt done anything it would be dead already...
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Nurse Joy came back up to him. "Just so you know, the Gligar is healing up nicely, but he went through a lot" she said, concerned for the pokemon. "Can you tell me what happened?" She asked, and Matt relayed the story
The Nurses eyes took on a steely edge "another one then? I should have known, the monks have hated these pokemon for ages, theres a story saying that the first elder of the Tower was killed in his sleep by a Gligar, and since then they've been considered a sign of misfortune, and are destroyed on sight" she took a breath and calmed down. "Either way, he should be ready for you to pick up soon. Do you plan to release, or keep him?" She asked
Matt seemed a bit confused by the question "oh... I dont know, I didnt really think of that" he said as the nurse just nodded and walked back to attend the injured pokemon.
Alex laughed "Hahaha... I'm not a gym sort of trainer... I want to raise a team to challenge the battle tower. But I suppose we could always train together. This lil' retard needs to learn to fight." He gestured to Horus's ball. "Why don't we train together. You know... working together will make it easier."
"Yeah, sounds like a good idea!" Darrel said in agreement. He looked around a bit, and added "We might want to head down to the route south of here if we're doing that, though. I think that Elder's going to freak if we start another fight in his tower." Spike, during this time, had decided to climb down to Puck's Pokeball and take a closer look, having never seen an occupied ball from the outside. He leaned in close, only for Puck's face to press up against the side of the ball, causing the Mankey to shriek and fling itself onto Alex's bag, scrambling away.
Lily hadn't had anything in a good restaurant in ages. Living on the road with no money made it difficult to eat. She usually just picked wild berries and the like. Sure it wasn't a lot, but it kept her alive. If she could get them to get her some food...
"Alright, you choose and I'll pay... I have a little money left." Jason said, rummaging around in his pocket to make sure he still had his money. He felt a few bills in his pocket and nodded, waiting for Lily to say were she wanted to go, he wasn't familiar with anything in this town.
Alex laughed. "That's definitely true!" He fell backwards as Spike made the backpack too heavy. He fell backwards and Horus popped out of the ball. It bleated angrily at Spike, briefly showing signs of intelligence. Then promptly forgot what he was doing. His tail light was shining brightly. Alex's thick glasses reflected the light. "Sorry 'bout these. I try not to wear them in public. They're kind of embarrassing."
"It's fine, man." Darrel assured him, shielding his eyes a bit as the Mareep's light blinded anyone that looked directly at it. Spike attempted to knock the sheep out to turn off the light, but Darrel grabbed the Mankey with both hands and lifted him up. "We'll get our chance for that in a couple minutes, so just sit tight, okay?"
Spike angrily consented, and was called back to his Pokeball to avoid staring at the light any longer. With their task complete, Darrel led the group out of the Sprout Tower. As they passed the elder, he fished out Puck's Pokeball and called him out. The ghost gave a horrible smile directed at the old man as the group left.
Alex smiled and nodded. Horus walked next to him his tail still lit. He bleated and nudged the pokeball and returned to it.
He cautiously looked around. He didn't want for Chell to see him with his glasses. It was the reason why he tended to hit pokemon with the pokeball in his hand as opposed to throwing like normal. He was nearly blind without them but he would adamantly deny it around women.
