Uprising - A Pokemon RP

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex quickly ran out of the door. He made it past the gym and into the route below. He shivered and looked around. This was theoretically the place where the Mareep were supposed to live. But where were they? Alex then heard bleating coming from a little south. He headed down quietly and he looked around the corner to see a massive ball of wool right next to his face.
"Maaaaahhhhreep." It looked dumbly at him.
"I'll find another one. This one looks stupid." He headed off in further down the path. Unfortunately no other Mareep seemed to be out. Alex looked high and low for them. He turned around when he heard the soft crunching of feet on grass.
"Maaaaaaahhhhhreep."
Alex's eyes narrowed into slits. It was definitely the same Mareep as before. He cocked his head to the side. The Mareep copied him. He held out his last pokeball. The Mareep trotted and nudged the ball in the center, pressing in the button. He set the ball down and watched the ball wiggle.
Once...twice... three times...Ding!
Alex sighed and checked his Pokedex.

"If static electricity builds in its body, its fleece doubles in volume. Touching it will shock you."
Gender: Male
Lax nature
Often dozes off

Alex sighed. "That would explain why you have so much fleece. You never do anything." He gave a little half grin and sent out his new Mareep. He patted its head. "I'll call you... Horus." He activated his two other pokeballs and sent out Rhodes and Cecily. "Come and meet your new friend!"

 

[ZapperX]

"Eevee! Tackle that plant!"

Eevee ran at the Bellsprout and dove at it. The plant Pokemon dodged swiftly and instinctively went to whip the brown fox.

"Perfect!" cried Lily.

Caught up in trying to hit the nimble Eevee, the Bellsprout forgot about Rojo, who was quickly approaching with a powerful Scratch at the ready.

 

[Zirat]

Once she was dropped Rojo ran at the slender plant, it's Scratch was set to finish the battle but it's head whipped around just in time to bend itself out of the way, it reared another vine to attack but Eevee tried to make another distraction, it quickly whipped it's bushy tail along the ground, sending a cloud of dust and dirt at the Bellsprout with a Sand Attack.
This caused the Bellsprout to miss as well, and now Rojo felt something burning up inside her. She opened her beak and tried Ember again, this time succeeding and launching a few smoldering balls of fire, each hitting the plant and burning it badly as it fell to the ground.
"B-bellsprout, return..." it's owner said forlornly, the other was still attending to it's badly beaten and bloodied Rattata.
"So, we won then?" Matt asked the two "Unless you feel like you want to keep going" he said somewhat coldly
"There is no need, you both have been proven effective battlers. You could even take on the gym leader if thats what you wished" he said to them.
Meanwhile, some of the other monks seem troubled by something one of them brought down from one of the higher, more dilapidated, floors.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex sighed "Well that's life." He looked around at his three pokemon. "What do you say we do some training?" No sooner did he say that, a pair of Sentrets climbed down a tree, chittering angrily at Alex. He looked around confused. "What? Did I do something you don't like?" one of the two responded by charging at him. The other tackled Horus.

Cecily and Rhodes sped into action against the one attacking Rhodes hitting it with supersonic and Cecily blasting it with Water gun.
The Sentret curled up into a ball and was propelled by the Watergun against a tree where it bounced off and landed on Rhodes, scratching it.
Rhodes chittered angrily and latched onto one of its arms using leech life.

Horus on the other hand stood his ground and took the blow. But that was it. He bleated lamely at them. Which seemed to do nothing. The Sentret's assault continued but as one of its paws slipped deep inside the fur a bolt of electricity shot across its arm and covered it in static. Horus then proceeded to whack the sentret over the head with his tail, sending the sentret scurrying away. The other following suit, leaving Alex to wonder what the hell he did as he walked back to meet up with the rest of the party and to show off his new, vaguely retarded Mareep.

Gereld looked at the ground, a little confused and said as kindly as he could" Look... I'm sorry if I said something wrong, but I have no idea what you're talking about, so, if your up to it, maybe you could explain?"

"New Bark Town's gone." Darrel stated, attempting to get straight to the point. One of his eyes seemed a bit brighter, as if a tear was building up. "My dad and I came back from a trip to Olivine a couple of days ago. When we got there, everybody was dead, just lying there in the street. My dad told me to go and alert the police; he went up north to Blackthorn, to get help from the gym there. So now, here I am." He said. He tried to bring back the goofy smile, but it faltered, leaving him looking very insincere.

Gereld sank down to the ground, shocked by hte relevation that Darrel gave him. Morely to comfort himself, he let CIndy out of her pokeball, and hugged the Cyndaquill, too shocked to say anything. Geez, I was only there a couple of days ago. I must have missed it by a day or two.

Darrel saw Gereld was beginning to freak out after he had told him what happened and panicked, trying to think of a way to distract him. "Hey!" He shouted, to make sure Gereld heard him. "Me and Spike were, uh, gonna head over to Sprout Tower after this, see about catching some Pokemon to take on the Gym. You wanna come with?"

"Mank-MANK!" screeched Spike, in agreement to Darrel's suggestion.

Shaking his head a little as he heard Darrek speak, Gereld realized how pathetic he must look, sitting on the ground cuddeling a Cyndaquill, and , blushing, stood up and said" Sure. It's were I was going to go anyway."

"Right. Hold on a minute, then." Darrel walked over to the other side of the Pokemon Center to a phone. He dialed the number of the city's police station, and a young officer responded. The conversation was short, as Darrel had no intention to dwell on such depressing things. He delivered the message exactly as his father had told it to him. The officer thanked him for the report, and explained that while there had been reports of violence in New Bark Town, no one at the station had been aware of the sheer scale of the massacre. Darrel nodded, and logged off.

He immediately felt as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. It was a bit dimmer than it was when he had first arrived, but his trance-like grin returned, and he walked over to the door, nodding to Gereld to get moving, and walked out of the door.

 

[Zirat]

Matt saw the huddled monks around something and walked forward to see it, disregarding the hte other monks and Lily to see what they were doing.
"- see what I mean? Finding one of these things, at this time! It is clearly an ill omen of times ahead" He said in a hushed tone, indicating to a writhing burlap sack he held with one hand, whatever was inside was shrieking, and obviousley scared. Possibly in pain
"Whats in there?" Matt asked, pushing a monk aside to get a better look.
"Something vile" he responded, glaring at Matt. Suddenly a purple claw stabbed through the bag and receded, a white eye could be seen through it. Matt instictivley took a step away but the Monk hit the bag hard, causing what was inside to shriek again.
"No, stop that! I dont care if your a monk, whatever it is, it doesnt deserve that!" Matt said, taking another step up to him
"Foolish boy! This venomous creature shouldnt even be alive! We shall be dealing with it momentarily, now stay out of our business!" He then turned his back and started walking away. Matt took this chance to shove the monk, sending to the floor and letting Matt scoop up the bag, ripping it open and freeing the captured Gligar, who made a paniced hobbling dash for an open window.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

-- Sprout Tower--
Eldar Kosei shouted to the younger monks as the Gligar waddled out away frantically, spurred on by several vine whips from the bellsprouts. "Out of my way! Now listen, child. If you want that infernal pokemon so badly go catch it! But if I ever see it again..." His eyes narrowed into slits indicating he was very serious. "Now go! Get out of my tower! We have serious training to do and you are distracting us! NOW OUT!!!"

 

[ZapperX]

"Matt, I'm feeling pretty confident, if you wanna leave... Ngh!"

Lily pressed her hand against her thigh, feeling intense pain from her bite. She flinched, but gritted her teeth, trying to shrug it off. She began to feel dizzy, and wobbled back and forth on her feet as her vision blurred a bit. She felt confused. The commotion caused by the purple bat, however, snapped her out of it. Regaining her composure, she motioned to Matt, hoping to leave. This tower was scaring her.

 

[Zirat]

Matt had had enough of this place anyway, and returned the yell "well then, dont let me distract you from more defenseless pokemon!" Matt shouted, and not wanting to say more stormed out of the tower to search for the already injured pokemon. Leaving Chell behind but helping the injured Lily down the stairs. Behind them, Rojo following suit, spitting a smoldering ember at the assembled people there and leaving after Matt, feeling satisfied in herself.

Once he left the tower behind him, he turned to Lily "Listen, I'm sorry but I need to find this pokemon, I tihnk it's hurt... bad. You should be okay to get to the pokemon center, I'll meet you there" he said before he started looking for the injured pokemon. Not sure what he would find, he heard a raspy breathing in some nearby bushed though and parted them to find the Gligar.
After having jumped from the tower window it glided a small distance before it's strength gave out, making it fall to it's current position. It was beaten and bloody, it glared up at him dazedly and raised it's stinger, ready to fire a poison barb at Matt but it didnt have the strength, it simply passed out.
Without thinking Matt walked forward and picked it up, cradling the pokemon's injured form as he hurried to the Pokemon Center to see if the nurse could do anything for it.

Also, just so you know, Vesuvius Hetlan is the new Co-GM to help me get this RP on track and moving onto it's destination.

Just thought all of you 'ought to know this now. Also, we will be having one more player coming in now, Pyroguy, and thats about it for the news now...

Spoiler: My first act as Co-gm...

I would like to announce that I will be in charge of Pokemon requests. Please do not send in rediculous or completely out of place ones and certain families will probably be right out. Also the Elder told you ALL to get out.

As Matt entered the Pokemon center Nurse Joy flinched. She gingerly took the injured Gligar handing it quickly to the Chansey, who quickly placed it on a trolley and pushing it back to the healing room with some other injured pokemon. "We'll see what we can do. But we never have had to deal with a Gligar before." She bowed minutely. "I don't suppose you have a pokeball for it do you?" Matt shook his head. She sighed "They never do. This isn't what they said it would be like at all..."

Alex had just walked up to the tower when the commotion had started. Not wanting to get in the fight he subtly backed out. He saw Matt running out with... A Gligar? 'Huh, this will be interesting...' he thought to himself following them quietly.

Darrel watched as Matt passed him, Gligar in his arms, towards the Pokemon Center. Spike grunted confusedly, but Darrel shrugged and continued on his way. A moment later, he was at the door to Sprout Tower. "So, Spike, I think I heard something about an order to stay out. Did you?"

"Mank!" Spike replied, making an affirmative.

"Ya think we're gonna listen?"

"Mank-MANK!" the Pokemon replied, shaking its head.

"All right then." Darrel said, grinning widely. He walked up to the door and pounded on it with his fist. "Hey, open up! This is the Sprout Tower, right?"

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

The Elder answered the door. His bushy eyebrows almost covering his eyes. "I said no more visitors for tonight! Go train some where else please!" He then slammed the door in Darrel's face.

 

[CJ1145]

"Aw, come on!" Darrel shouted through the door, over his Mankey's violent grunts and screeches. "Why not? All the coolest Pokemon come out at night!"

Spike then jumped off of his shoulder, his body practically red from his sheer anger. He ran up and down, screeching as loudly as he could, before he stopped, and waited, only to charge the door with a Low Kick to try and force it open.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

The door shook but held strong. The Elder's Weepinbell looked kind of sad. "Weeep..."
The Elder smiled "Now now, Everything will be ok. I'm sure. He'll be... Oh fine."
The Elder walked back to the door and opened it. "You should count yourself lucky. My Weepinbell has requested to have a match with you. So therefore if you can beat me. I will allow you to search the tower."

Lily made her way back to the Pokemon Center as well, albeit rather slowly, still feeling a chill from the tower. After a while of limping, she finally arrived. Placing Eevee's Pokeball on the counter, she asked curtly, "Take care of it, will you? And could you do something about my leg?" as she untied her wound.
