"Thank you, I think I might owe you my life now... and a new pair of socks." Jason said, wondering what might have happened if Lily hadn't saved him. He let himself relax finally, the danger had passed thanks to Lily's quick thinking.
Alex returned from his first turn on watch. "God I feel like shit." He carried Rhodes and Cecily on his shoulder and in his arms respectively. He wiped his eyes "Thanks guys. I needed someone to vent to." He smiled as the others came into view, his glasses glinted in the dark. "Hello everyone. I'm back."
"Hi Darrel, I'm Eric. I think we met briefly at the tower back home... I mean Violet City." He turned as he saw Alex enter the chamber. "Hi Alex. I remember you."
He glanced at a boy lying on the ground, he looked ill. There was a girl tending to him.
"So do you guys all travel together?" he recalled a few of the faces from their brief encounters in the past but he didn't know anything about them. He shivered a little, the cave was moist and damp.
Gee, if this is cave exploration I'll stay to the plains.
I'm at school right now and I'm heading home. I won't be able to post for about 2 hours
Alex smiled half-heartedly. "As I." Horus bleated and rolled on the ground. Alex sighed and cracked his knuckles and lifted the static sheep off the ground. Electricity started coursing around his arms. He set the sheep on the ground feet first and sat down. "Sorry about the condition of the party, Eric. We're all just stressed. And Darrel... I don't have any antidotes. Otherwise I would've." He slumped down and ended up laying down in a puddle. He whispered to himself, hoping desperately nobody would hear. "I try my hardest to keep people happy, I really do... Yet every time I point a direction, its a trap or worse..." He laughed quietly to himself, a quiet, self-mocking laugh.
"Does somebody need an antidote? I've got a few on me to spare." said Eric, trying to be helpful.
Maybe I can convince them to let me tag along with them... I don't want to end up massacred by those maniacs... Just let them try to harm these guys with me along!
He tossed out Dash casually. Dash barked happily and sat in his lap, warming him up nicely.
Gereld jumped, awoken by the bark, which, in the cave, was magnified several times.Rubbing his eyes, Gereld looked around sleepily, before noticing a new guy. Yawning, Gereld said" I'm Gereld. Who are you?"
Sid looked up at the loud bark, echoing thrkugh the cave. The guy Matt had brought with him also had a dog-like pokémon and he gulped. Pooch jumped up and took his defensive stance while growling loudly.
Sighing, Lily turned to Jason. "Dont worry about the socks, silly... I'm just glad youre ok. How about you just call us even for that dinner?" she laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood for her 'patient'. He seemed at least slightly amused. "I'm glad to be of some assistance, at any rate. Guess it's good that I came along with you guys, huh? Otherwise you wouldn't be looking so good."
It was now that Lily remembered that the only reason the Seviper had injured Jason in the first place. Her heart sunk when she saw the sorry state the boy was in, knowing it was her fault that he looked that way. "I owe you my life, too, Jason. That Poison Tail was meant for me, and you got in the way.... Thank you." She was about to hug the boy, but quickly remembered that she shouldn't touch his arm. She smiled at him, instead.
"Don't mention it Lily, besides I didn't want you to get hurt." Jason said, giving Lily a hug despite his arm being the way it was. He wanted Lily to know that he was thankful, and he cared about her. He then pulled away and began to look deeper into the cave, hearing the rustling of various Pokemon in the darkness.
Alex sighed and got out of the puddle. He stood up and stretched. Dumbass! Now's not the time to be mopey! Now's the time to kick ass and take names! He looked to Rhodes, "Listen buddy, I want you to search the cave and find us a way out. Go!" He gave Rhodes a clicking noise which the bat responded to by fluttering about for a second before heading into the darkness.
Matt saw how Eric seemed to be getting along fine with some of the others, and didnt pay any attention to the death glare he was getting from both Darrel and his Mankey. "So, to everyone else I recommend getting some sleep now while we got the chance, that goes to you too Alex, I'll stay up on watch just in case anyone else feels like dropping by tonight. And speaking of which Eric, feel free to stay the night, our luxurious surroundings are open to you" he said, laughing slightly as sat down on a large rock close to the cave wall and leaned against it, and over time the others eventualy settled down, finished their conversations, and let sleep take them. Heh, in a dark cave late at night staying awake so no one else has to. When did I get so nice? He thought to himself, though it wasnt pitch black it was still very dark, and he strained his ears to hear anything that sounded like a person...
After an extremely uneventful night, it actualy started to lighten up in the cave, as what little sunlight that could reach in did it's job in the dank place.
"Alright then, thats our sign to wake the others" Matt murmured to the sleeping pokemon on his lap. He gently lifted her up and and placed her on the ground as he started to make rounds, starting by shaking Alex awake.
"Hey, time to wake up. No sign on your Zubat yet but its morning, so that should count for something" he said to his sleepeing comrade
"Well, isnt that great for you? Maybe you can stay here, who knows what someone can do for this place with just a little time and effort" Matt said jokingly to Eric as he continued to make rounds and try to get people up.
"Though we should be moving on soon, feel free to come along" he said, feeling somewhat responsible for his safety at the moment.
Gereld grogily sat up and gave his face a little smack, not hard, but just trying to wake himself up a bit. After that, he remembered that Cindy had been out of her ball and he found her, curled up in a ball asleep. Into your ball you go, sleepy-head. He thought as he returned her to her ball.
