Matt couldnt help but laugh out loud at Sid's attitude, he barely knew the kid but so far he was starting to like him. "Alright, he's got a point people, enough time wasted in this wonderful place lets get moving! Pick up your stuff unless you feel like taking up permanent residence here" he said, as the rest of the people began to pick up their belongings and do whater it was they needed to move on.
"Alex, you said your Zubat found the way out?" He asked, and Alex nodded in response before saying something quietly to Rhodes as he chittered in response and flew off at a slow, bobbing pace further down the cave to make sure it wouldnt lose the other trainers.
"Okay people, follow that bat. We dont have many other options at this point..." he said with a shrug as he started following Rhodes, Rojo hopping up and following behind. I swear if this bat gets us lost I'm going to tear its wings off myself... he thought to himself as he followed the bat into the gloom

Eric followed Matt closely, hoping to get a moment to talk about battling.

He handles his Pokemon pretty well. New Bark hmm? I should visit that place some day.

Dash kept close to his master, ready to spring into action at any moment.

You're the best friend I've ever had Dash. I just know we can become champions!

Sid put his hands on his head and followed the Zubat at a dustance. He stopped dead in his tracks wheb he realized that there wasn't much to do in Azalea unless you wanted a gym badge. He picked up his pace and thought what he could do, nothing came up.

"What is there to even do in Azalea Town?"

"Lots of stuff." Darrel replied to Sid, appearing out of seemingly nowhere. It was a skill he had learned quite well from his Gastly. "There's a gym there, they've got a Pokemon Center and a shop, oh and the Slowpoke Well! I've always wanted to see that place!"

Speaking of Puck, after its prolonged disappearance it finally reappeared from a nearby wall, looking fairly beat up but also extremely pleased with itself. Puck lazily floated over to its Pokeball and tapped it once, the red beam transporting him inside with a final chuckle. Darrel looked a bit concerned as he checked out his Gastly's Pokeball. "What was he doing out there anyway?"

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex and Rhodes walked a little in front of the group, Rhodes to lead the way and Alex to watch out for holes and puddles for the others calling back occasionally to warn them. Horus trotted a little behind them bleating incessantly and his tail glowing giving off a dull, soft light. "Batabatabatabat!!!" He looked ahead at the lit path. "Nothing so far!"

"Well, thats good as far as things go" Matt said to Alex, this cave was really starting to wear on him and so was the lack of sleep. At the corner of his vision he coul see some pokemon stirring at their passing, mainly rock

"And as for what we can do there? Well... for most of you theres the gym, and I guess thats the main thing that draws people in, but what I'm looking forward to is Illex Forest, supposed to be a bunch of pokemon there and I plan to train as well as I can there, maybe even catch a pokemon or two... heh, maybe even do that while your all caught up in the gym. Get a leg up on all of you while your waiting a turn to take whoever's in charge on" he said jokingly

"Wait, man, wait, that reminds me!" Darrel announced. "Dibs on Bugsy. Lily got to go first last time, and I got stuck fighting a frikkin' Natu, so this time I think I want a fight that isn't, you know, totally stacked against me." Spike shuddered a bit as he remembered the brutal fight against the Natu. 4x Type advantages were difficult to overcome.

 

[Zirat]

"Hey, you still won didnt you? And you had fun bragging about it, besides, I doubt there will be any psychic types here. But maybe if you rush ahead you can get your first round in before all the others" he remarked jokingly, taking care to step over a puddle while Rojo happily slogged through it

Spike jumped straight into the puddle that Rojo had passed through, splashing a thoroughly unamused Puck. Darrel hopped over the puddle and caught up to Matt to keep talking. "Well, yeah, at first I guess I did. But then people started yelling at me, and, I don't really get why. Uh, well, I do, but it seems like pretty flimsy reasoning to me. But what I'm trying to say, is, this time I'd really prefer just to fight my match and be done with it."

Darrel was starting to sound too much like other characters I play for my tastes, so I've deliberately upped the awkward speech pattern. If it gets jarring tell me and I'll stop.

Matt noted the subtle change in Darrel's attitude and decided to stop pushing it for now "well, either way the sooner we get there the sooner we can sort that out. And since no one else is jumping around to get there I think you wont have any competition" he said, looking around at some pokemon that he could make out at the edge of the light being provided by Alex's stone brained sheep. There were the usual Geodudes along with some other stony pokemon, possibly some young Sandshrews adventuring from their nests.
"Well, so far this beats our last pass through a cave, no swarms of Zubats are always a plus"

"Hey Matt, do you think it would be okay if I hung back to catch one of these? I'll catch up the minute I catch one." Jason asked, motioning to one of the Sandshrew while drawing an empty Pokeball and motioning for Bagon to get ready to fight. He had wanted to catch something, and since there were no Zubat around, Jason figured a Sandshrew would be the next best thing.

"Well, you dont have to run it by me but if you want to by all means do it" he replied as he got ready to watch how Jason would catch this one.
The other Sandshrews have since moved on, either by continuing on their way or leaving the moment a pokemon and its trainer came closer, but one stayed. Either too curious or too brave to run

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex smiled "I'll sit this gym out too. I'm going to go to Illex forest to catch some pokemon once we get out of this damned cave. Maybe some cool bug pokemon or something." He shivered. I just said this outloud didn't I. If I don't Chell will think I'm a coward. Shitshitshit! He turned and noticed Jason staring down a sandshrew. "Good luck Jason!" He gave him a thumbs up and turned to Rhodes and gave a very faint whistle. Rhodes' pace slowed down further but he still moved forward.

"Bagon, start it off with a bite." Jason said, Bagon immediately leaping forward and trying to chomp down on the Sadnshrew. Before Bagon's attack could land, the Sandshrew curled up into a ball and managed to withstand bagon's bite. Bagon uselessly attempted to bite down on Sandshrew, and it was clear that he was quickly getting angered.

"Good, now use Rage Bagon." Jason smiled, Bagon tackling the still curled Sandshrew and beginning to beat it mercilessly until the Sandshrew finally uncurled and tried to scamper away. Bagon chased it down and sent it up into the air while its rage continued.

Jason threw the empty Pokeball and it absorbed the Sandshrew in a beam of red light. The Pokeball landed and started shaking, shaking three times before finally settling. Bagon picked up the Pokeball and brought it back to Jason who let it shrink and then placed it on his belt right next to Bagon's Pokeball.

"Good job Bagon, looks like we have our next teammate. We'll take him out in Azalea town and introduce ourselves." Jason said, patting Bagon on the head before putting Bagon back in his Pokeball.

"Yeah, well, Sandshrew are pretty cool." Darrel said as Jason went off to capture one. "But this cave's a little bit, you know, lacking in what I'm looking for. Oh, uh, if anybody spots a Larvitar let me know about it. I'm planning on catching one if I find it."

Spike had climbed up to Darrel's shoulder, and looked a little concerned at the odd change in his speech. Puck was far less concerned with such things, and was going from trainer to trainer, Pokemon to Pokemon, trying to find someone who was willing to entertain his odd sense of humor.

Chell had follow the others into the forest and was bouncing a little bit.

As she look around the forest she saw a group of large Beetle pokemon. One of the Pokemon had strange markings on him, I want that one, he seems like the coolest one. thought Chell, though what she did wa point at the beetle's and, "SQUEEEE~ So Cool!"
She realized Steve, and prepared to battle.

=Meanwhile In reality=

Chell was lost in a daydream, so believing herself about to catch a pokemon, threw a pokeball. Unfortunately for everyone it was not an empty pokeball but the one in which Steve the Munchlax is stored. The pokeball was hurled toward Matt, and it *BONKED* him on the top of the head, then opened dumping the Munchlax on top of him.

"Heh, nice catch Jason, I-" Matt was cut off as the ball hit him in the head. "Ow, the he-" he started to say before being cut off again as the ball opened and had Steve released a few inches above his head, who then fell like a lead weight, sending Matt crashing down to the ground.
After a few brief seconds of struggling Matt managaged to throw the fat little pokemon off of him, who seemed to think he was a snack and tried to take a bite out of him. He landed in front of Rojo who responded by pecking him a few times for try to eat her owner.
"Chell, can you please not attack me with him anymore? I'm not a pokemon to weaken and capture, you can tell that right?" He asked, dusting himself off as he got back to his feet

Gereld felt rather uncomfortable with pretty much everyone talking about what kind of pokemon they wanted, while he himself had not even the hint of an idea of what Pokemon to capture. I'll just catch whatever catches my fancy. He thought, aware that he was only trying to make himself feel better. He was so engrossed in his thoughts, he barely even to notice Jason catching his Sandshrew, or Steve nearly crushing Matt.

Sorry I haven't been on much, this week's been really crazy, I have exams this week, a competition this weekend, then a show next week, so I'll be sliding in where I can.

Lily walked close to Sid, as they walked a small bit away from the rest of the group, trying to find the way to Azalea Town. Passing the numerous bodies of water had Lily wondering exactly what resided in this cave. She looked around, noticing just how well lit the cave was, receiving a lot of natural light from the outside. She couldn't help but think that they weren't too safe in here from the Rocket assailants.

The Rockets confused her. Lily had read all the information about the terrorist group, and for the most part, they seemed harmless. From what she remembered, they seemed more focused on taking Pokemon and money than actually hurting people. When they were assaulted earlier... The Rockets were vicious, ruthless, and ready to kill. And if those men were really responsible for the massacre at New Bark Town, this was a different Team Rocket... One that she had a reason to fear.

But she still had an unanswered question. Why was their group attacked? She was sure that the Rockets just don't go attacking random people for fun. They seemed too organized. Someone in the group must have crossed the Rockets in some way... It was definitely not safe to stick with them.
