"Okay, see you Jason." He waved goodbye and ran to Lily's side, "C'mon guys!" He called to Pooch and Alexander, who reluctantly followed him. Before he even got inside the gym he knew all the pollen and humidity would make his allergies go insane.

As Sid hustled up next to her, Lily smirked. Sid was loyal to her, which was a good thing to know. It would make things easier for the two of them when they parted from the others at Ecruteak. She smiled sweetly at him. "Are your Pokemon gonna watch, Sid? It'll be good for them to see some Pokemon with some more experience battling."

She opened the door to the Gym for him, and the humidity rushed to meet her. Much unlike Falkner's plain Gym, Bugsy's was something akin to a lush forest, where it seemed as though Bug Pokemon could thrive. The dark patches of trees worried Lily, for she would be susceptible to surprise attacks, as would her Pokemon when she battled Bugsy.

Cautiously, the two youths entered the realm of Bugsy.

Jason sighed, seeing the way that Lily had barely even looked at him when coming and getting Sid to go take her gym challenge. There was nothing more he could do, other then go inside and watch Lily's battle. Jason walked inside the gym, and waited for Lily's battle to start, making sure he was out of the way for the initial battle though.

"Yeah, we'll watch." Sid smiled back, "We have no intention in actually fighting though."

As soon as the door shut Sid's allergies began to act up and he sneezed extremely loud. He whipped his nose and turned to Alexander and Pooch.

"Now while Lily has her battle against Bugsy, I want you two to watch and learn. Alright?" Sid explained and got two reassuring nods from the two.

Darrel leaned back in his seat, a simple smile on his face. He had tried to recall Puck, but the gasball had resisted his attempts, and floated lazily about; too anxious to try and rest, preferring to watch the battle. Spike, for once, was too tired to enjoy the fight, and whittled away the hours snugly in his pokeball.

Now it appeared to be Lily's turn up. He felt a twang in his stomach when he saw her. At first he couldn't place the emotion, but as she strode in he chose a word he rarely used: revulsion. She had seemed nice enough, but as he learned more about her, the sleepy-eyed trainer began to understand that she was in the game for herself and no one else. And it disgusted him.

Bugsy smiled and indicated to the butterfree fluttering around in the air. "Free! Free!" It continued to flutter around.

"So which will you using?" The butterfree gave a haughty look to Bugsy as if to say Finally.

Alex moved cautiously into the inside of the gym's benches, Nina skittered around and Rhodes fluttered around chittering gleefully.

Eric mulled around in the field with Dash, who was fighting Pidgey's and Weedles as they appeared.

I'm such an idiot. Of course a Gym leader would anticipate a rush... How can... Hmmm.

Dash bit savagely, the Pidgey gave a final defiant chirp and went limp.

"Come back boy, I'm going to train Jenna for a bit now."

Dash reluctantly returned to his masters side. He had to get stronger. He was going to prove himself against that spider if it was the last thing he ever... Suddenly he realized he was hungry and started rubbing at Eric's leg.

"What? Oh, here bud."

Eric pulled out some beef flavored Pokemon food and set it on the ground. While Dash ate happily and Jenna practiced her evasion spins and twirls he wondered what other tricks Bugsy had up his sleeve.

Lily sized up the butterfly Pokemon in front of her that Bugsy was going to use, trying to find a weakness. Like Falkner's Pokemon, it seemed to have an affinity for the sky. Lily, unaware of the other trainer's glaring eyes on her, knew she would have to choose wisely, because she couldn't afford another loss to a Gym Leader.

Hesitantly, she reached for the Pokeball of her newest Pokemon and cast it out. The Geodude appeared silently, looking rather blase.

"I choose Geodude to battle! Are you ready to start?" Lily exclaimed as she readied herself for her second Gym Battle.

Bugsy smiled "Very well. Let's battle. I'll allow you to get the first move."

The Butterfree glared at him but immediatly returned its attention to its opponent.

"Alright!" Lily cried as her eyes narrowed, her focus going to the battle. "Let's start off heavy, use Rock Throw, Geodude!"

Still looking bored, the Rock Pokemon picked up a stone from the ground, gave it a tiny toss so as to measure its weight, then closed its right eye as it pulled its right arm, holding the stone, back. The Pokemon lined up its shot, and catapulted the projectile at the Butterfree.

The internet was down!

The butterfree adeptly dodged the flung stone and smirked not even bothering to attack back.

Bugsy shouted out "Free, use Supersonic!!!" The butterfree apparently had other ideas and started sprinkling powder all over the gym.

No worries, I figured you were playing black or white. = P

Lily, recognized what a supersonic looked like thanks to that bat Alex had, noticed that the Butterfree was most definitely NOT using that move. In an attempt to throw off Bugsy, she taunted him, "Must be an awful trainer that raise Pokemon that don't obey him!"

She then refocused on her Geodude. "Lets go for another Rock Throw, and this time, let's hit!"

Another stone went flying at the butterfly, almost the same as the first one that it had l.

That too... ^_^;

Bugsy sighed. "This guy's on loan to me from a friend, but even with the badges he doesn't listen."

The butterfree was hit by the rock and staggered back with pain, its eyes twitched with irratation and sent out a powerful looking supersonic directly at the geodude.

<spoiler=Alpha Centauri>
As much as I regret to say it, my informant has told me that the RP has seen little to no action in the past several days. Now because of this I am going to, hopefully, pump some action into this lifeless horse. Within <color=red>THE NEXT TWO DAYS if no progress is made, and trust me shit will hit the fan.

I am always watching...

Lily cried, "Geodude, get out of the way!" But it was far too late. The miniature golem was caught right in the middle of the Butterfree's sound waves. It bacame dazed and unable to maintain its position, wobbling back and forth in the air.

"Snap out of it," Lily called, "And use another Rock Throw!"

The command seemed to get through, at first, as the Geodude readied another stone, but it was clear that it didn't when the Pokemon threw the rock directly upwards, so it came back crashing down on his head. "DUUUUUDE!" It cried out, clutching its head.

"Agh, what did you do to my Pokemon?" Lily shouted at Bugsy, just as confused as Geodude was. She had never seen this kind of phenomenon happen before.

Bugsy grimaced "That was Free's supersonic. I told you. He doesn't listen to me very often." Bugsy shrugged "It makes it more difficult to pull off an attack. Now Free! Use Silver wind!!!" As he called it out Free glared and sent large gust of scales and wind directly towards Lily's geodude.
Free continued to launch the scales as it flew circles around the Geodude.

Alex stood dumbstruck as the whirlwind of scales appeared on the battle field. Cecily shivered with anticipation, even though she knew she wouldn't be battling. Neither Nina or Rhodes could see the display but they felt it. There was genuine power behind that attack.

Gereld, bored out of his skull, decided that Someting was porbably going on at the gym, so headed there.

When he got in there, he was not disappointed.

Quietly joining the others where they were sitting, Gereld wathced the spactacular display that the Butterfree was putting on, both in power and pure sparkly prettiness.

I hope my not so subtle bump doesn't get in the way

You have lost the gym challenge.

As the scales settled, the victor was clear. Free fluttered about almost giggling and Lily's geodude lay unconscious on the ground.
"Looks like two victories for me." He stepped past Lily and to the winners of the gym challenge. "Please accept this badge in recognition of your victories."

"Damn..." Jason hissed under his breath, watching as the Butterfree took down Lily's Geodude. He wanted to say something to her, but he had no idea what to say. Instead he just watched from the sidelines and waited for her to leave so he could say something away from the others.

Lily's mouth hung open as her new Pokemon lay unconscious in front of her. Bugsy nonchalantly strolled past her, but she hoped he could feel the rage emanating off of her. Silently, she returned the disinterested Pokemon to his ball. Brimming with anger, she gestured to Sid as she walked out of the Gym hurriedly.

She lost. Again. Her second Gym Challenge, that she was ready for, was a complete failure. Her Pokemon just wasn't strong enough, that much was clear. She needed her Pokemon to fight something. Beat something. Hurt something.

In a flash, she remembered Sid's abusers. How they hurt him, and how they hadn't been hurt in return.

Lost in fury, she set course for the Pokemon Center.
