Uprising - A Pokemon RP

Sid followed Lily out the gym silently. He could tell she was furious about the fight and decided it would be best if he kept his mouth shut. When he looked up he caught a glipse of the Pokemon Center and stopped. He didn't want Lily to think he was unloyal but he didn't want to go in and deal with those trainers.
Pooch sensd something was wrong with his master and rubbed against him reassuringly. He looked down at the tiny Pokemon and smile.
"C'mon guys." Sid called to his pokemon and ran to catch up with Lily.

Jason silently slipped out of the gym behind Lily and Sid, not wanting to alert Lily that he was behind them, but not going to let Lily beat herself up about her loss. He hastily tucked the badge he had won into his jacket, pinning it next to his other badge before walking behind Lily at a distance.

So long as she doesn't do something stupid, I won't have to keep following her like this...

Oni stood in the bushes, sharpening his knives and grunting to himself. After those pokemon chased them off one of those underlings told the boss about the kids.

'Kill them at all costs.'
'Yes, sir.'
'They know your face, they could have told tyhe authorities!'
'Yes, sir.'
'GO to the back up plan.'
'What? But I can still-'
'Are you disobeying a direct order?!'
'...No...sir.'
'Good, you know what to do.'

"Moron." He grunted, "He's only a child! WHat does he know about leadership!"
"Doom!"
"I bet you he hasn't even killed someone yet!"

His head snapped up when he heard a twig snap in the bushes. He gripped the hilt of his knife and stood up slowly.

"Star..."
"Texas."
"Good, what do you want?"

From the shadows a goon, no older than 17... a new recruit from Cherrygrove. He held out a short range radio and Oni snatched it out his hand.

"Frequency 109.1..."

Oni snapped the receiver to life and hear the low growl of Dozer, he boss' leading tactitian snapping orders.

"All units get into position, Alpha Centauri is a go. Oni, be prepared with houndoom."

Eric returned to the Pokemon center after a long day of training.

"Dash, you did good. We're ready for whatever Bugsby has to throw at us this time!"

The Growlithe barked happily. A chance to use his new moves would prove his superiority to that spider thing.

Eric called Dash back into his white premiere ball and handed his Pokeballs to the nurse.

Jenna's shaping up, Dash is my strongest... Jason needs work but he's got what it takes.

Eric clenched his fists as he leaned against the counter.

We're ready this time. Can't let the group think I'm weak. There is still so much Johto to see!

Gereld watched Lily and Sid head in the direction of the pokemon center and Jason following close behind them. Knowing he'd probably be seen if he floowed, he stood where he was, just outside the gym.

Matt had finaly had enough, it seemed that his Slowpoke was something of a lost case for any kind of official battle, his movements were too... well, slow and none of it's attacks could move fast enough to hit the opponent. He sighed as he recalled Sol, but atleast he had two other hard fighting pokemon.
"Alright you two, lets get you back to the pokemon center for a little rest, you did more then enough work for today" he said, his Gligar and Torchic following behind him, he didnt bother recalling them since they kind of enjoyed being outside as much as they can. As he made it back into the town he saw just baout everyone heading off from the gym and toward the 'Center as well. "Hmm, guess they finished up the Gym challenges finaly" he said as he walked in. Noticing Eric at the counter picking up his pokemon Matt walked over there to ask him about it.
"So you're back, did you get what you wanted in the gym?" He asked as he finaly recalled his two pokemon and handed them to the nurse.

"Are the prisoners ready?... Good." Oni put on his Rocket jacket and motioned for Houndoom to follow. The two casually walked into the center of town and nodded his head, a tiny little hick town... not to mention the pokemon gym. This would be a valuable little post for Team Rocket to set up.

He whistled briefly and two more goons came out the bushes, one holding a Pump-Action Shotgun the other a long rope. He tugged extremely hard at the rope and a boy fell out the tree line, and tied to him was another and another and another for a total of seven prisoners. Oni smiled and lined them all up while the goon with the shotgun got the town's attention.

"Attention, people of Azalea Town!"

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex grimaced as he entered the Pokemon center with Cecily, Rhodes, Horus and Nina trailing slightly behind him. "Wow... Did you guys see that silver wind. Errr.. sorry Nina and Rhodes..." Rhodes chittered agreeably and Nina began scratched annoyedly at the ground. Cecily began to converse with Nina. telling her of the magnificent Silverwind attack. Alex stopped, turning around and crouching to face them. "You guys... I know what my goal is going to be... We're going to do contests! Maybe not big time contests but at least to show beauty of you guys. Because I know you guys are the most beautiful pokemon I've ever had."

He then heard the announcement his blood froze and his face paled. "No..."

Jason turned when he heard someone call about behind him, only to see a group of Rockets lining up a bunch of prisoners. He instinctively reached for his one of his Pokeballs, but quickly shoved his hand in his pocket instead. Bringing out his Pokemon would probably only harm the innocent prisoners.

"How about you let the children go? Why not take me instead?" Jason called out, scowling at who he assumed to be the leader of the Rockets.

"Or, perhaps, I can take you then the children?" Oni said while untying the prisoners. After the last one he whistled for Houndoom to make sure they didn't try to make a run for it.

"Why don't you be a good little boy and fetch me the people in the pokemon center?" Oni smiled. He didn't hear any responce so he took the knife out his pocket and put it to one of the prisoner's throats. The boy was only about 14, he was short, thin and fear was visibly worn on his face; his favorite type of victims.

"Or I could kill this boy..."

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex slipped on his glasses and tiredly called his four pokemon back. The thick glasses made it so his eyes were unseeable and he grimaced. "Mine is a fate unescapable, true to the words of our fathers and mothers." He quietly began quoting from a book he'd had read before.

Lily was just about to enter the Pokemon Center when she heard the Rocket speak. Color drained from her face when she saw the villainous team take the young boy out and threaten him. She remembered just how dangerous they were from her previous encounter, and as such, she fingered for her Pokeballs, hoping not to be caught flatfooted this time.

'Geoodude's useless right now, but I still have 2 Pokemon that can try to help...'

Her mind then jumped to the others and their safety. Instinctively, she crept over to Sid, barely taking her eyes off of the nfolding scene. Jason's heroism was wonderful, but she couldnt let him do something stupid and get himself hurt again. "Jason!" she hissed. "Come here!"

Jason had been about to reply to the rockets, but bit back his response when Lily called for him. He started backing towards her until he stood beside her, still scowling darkly at the Rockets.

"Hey, are you alright Lily?"

The nurse had just handed him back his Pokeballs when Matt appeared.

"Well, I will take the badge this tim-"

The announcement and the appearance of the Rockets made him freeze.

Rockets...

"I'm just... Aggravated," she explained, remembering that Jason had won his Gym Battle. "Losing and I, we don't get along well. But mostly right now I'm concerned," she looked at his arm that had nearly caused his death not too long ago, "about you. Last time we ran into the Rockets I nearly got you killed. So this time I'm gonna make sure you stay safe. Ok?"

Shooting him her trademark smile, she returned her attention to the Rockets. By now, she had Eevee's ball in her left hand and Ghastly's in her right.

"You know I can look after myself Lily, and normally I would agree with what your about to do but not right now. Think about what your about to do, if you pull out your Pokemon right now your going to endanger the people over there." Jason said, not taking his eyes of the endangered civilians being held at gunpoint by the Rockets.

"You say you can look after yourself now, but what happens if a Pokemon attacks you again and no one offers to patch you up. It's too risky." she shot back.

Realizing he was referring to her Pokeballs, she shook her head. "I'm not sending anything out until the fighting starts, don't worry about them. They're only here for defense."

"See... what none of you seem to realize is that I have these six hostages." Oni said getting irritated, " I have a weapon and-"

"You're all talk!" The boy snapped. A wide grin spread across Oni's fase for that was exactly what he wanted from the boy. With deadly accuracy and speed, Oni cut across the boy's neck. He was stunned at first then fell to the ground as blood began to clump in the dirt. He quickly turned to take in the screams of any near people.

"Am I going to get what I demand or is this beautiful little lady here going to die as well?"

"You bastards!" blurted Eric, staring at the boy writhing on the ground.

Were these guys as ruthless when Red and Gold faced them? I don't remember hearing about shit like this.

Eric eyed the guns and the men holding them. Some seemed deadly confident, others looked a little more uneasy.

New guys huh? Hmmm...

He swallowed his rage and tried to figure out how get out of the situation.

Gereld, stunned into quietly watching the display the Rockets were putting on, was filled with revulsion as he watched what happened to the little boy. Biting his lip to stop him screming in terror and drawing undue attention to himself as he slid his hand slowly down to CIndy's ball, hoping that, if he were targeted for whatever reason, Her Smokescreen would be enough to let him get away.
