Lily's nervous smiling demeanor immediately transformed when the boy was killed. The boy, barely older than Sid, collapsed helplessly with his own blood coating his body. Lily wanted to look away, but only was able to stare at him as the defiance in his eyes transformed into fear and hopelessness. She wanted to vomit, wanted to scream, but something in her body stopped her, knowing that the Rockets would only be pleased by her reaction.
Her breathing rate increased as the leader began to count down while his Pokemon looked hungrily at the girl. This would be a massacre if someone didn't stop them, but it was incredibly evident that a straight fight would only result in more death, since the trainers were outnumbered and outgunned by the Rockets. The seconds ticked by faster and faster, giving everyone precious little time to think.
'Someone has to save their lives... These innocent people can't die because people are too scared to act. They can't!'
The number of seconds approached zero rapidly. Lily's dream returned to her and imagined not only the hostages being slaghtered, but Sid, Matt, Jason, and Eevee as well...
'Someone has to be strong... Like daddy... Strong!'
"STOP!" she screamed, making sure she was heard. "We'll get Bugsy. Ok? Just don't hurt her!"
She turned to the crowd. "Someone get Bugsy." An awkward second passed where no one moved. "NOW!"
