Uprising - A Pokemon RP

[Sliverwings]

Sid looked up and saw Alex running toward him with Rhodes in tow. Sid stood up and quickly wiped the tears from his eyes, then slowly began walking towards Alex.

"Yeah, how is he? Better, I hope..."

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

"He's in bad condition, but I think he'll pull through." Alex gave Sid a smile. "Come on. I'll take you to where he is." He gave Sid a reassuring smile and put his hand on Sid's shoulder and led the boy to where the Poochyena was.

 

[Sliverwings]

Sid sighed and walked into the Pokemon Center with Alex, dragging his feet the entire way there. He didn't want to see Pooch, not now he couldn't stand to see his friend suffer especially when he could've prevented the injury. As the EMTs were rushing in and out he heard someone asking about a Poochyena and his trainer. After being turned down once again, he ran to Alex and Sid.

"Hey, are you the Poochyena's trainer?" He asked Alex, completely ignoring Sid's presence.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex gave him a passive look "Nope. This good sir is the Poochyena's trainer." Alex nudged Sid forward giving him a reassuring smile. "I trust everything is going to be fine for him to pick up his first catch?" He gave the EMT a very mellow smile.

 

[Sliverwings]

"Uh..." The man looked down at Sid who was glaring at him, "Are you his brother or do you know where I can find someone response for him?"

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex's smile remained the same. "We're brothers. If ya can't relate to that statement then I'd assume we aren't cousins" His smile widened at his joke. "I'll happily sign on whatever ya need." He turned his grin to Sid "Shall we go see Pooch, then?".

Lily slumped against a tree, a sour taste swishing throughout her mouth. Those people... They treated her like a sick psychopath, or a murderer, just because she didn't feel the same way about Pokemon that they did. She couldn't believe the things that they said to her. Shoot her Pokemon? She was no Team Rocket member, she would never. She found the idea of abusing and killing Pokemon absolutely repulsive. She pounded her fist on the tree behind her. She would win, regardless of what the others thought about her.

'Its not like I have a choice...' She blinked out a few tears.

Then she heard the shouting. The doctors calling out for the owner of a Poochyena loudly and with a grave panic. It had to be Sid's. Lily had no idea why, but her gut feeling was just screaming that Sid's Pokemon was in trouble. She gathered herself before sprinting back to the Pokemon Center.

Inside, she found Sid with Alex and overheard that back and forth betwen the latter and a doctor. Frustrated, she elbowed her way into the conversation. "I'm the boy's caretaker, is something wrong?" She placed her hands on Sid's shoulders as she stood behind him.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex paused for a second. "Ahhh, Sis, here you are." He gave her an honest smile. "I was just discussing with the Doc here that I would sign as accountable for Pooch's release into his care once this is over. I'm glad you came, as his caretaker it should honestly be your responsibility, no?" Rhodes landed on his shoulder chittering mildly. Alex patted his head. "So, Doc. We gotta deal?"

 

[Sliverwings]

"Sure fine but we need to speak to you about the Poochyena." He pulled Lily to the side, "Listen the Poochyena is in very bad condition. It has multiple puncture wounds along it's back and two of its limbs are broken. Now it is highly possible that it can die if it doesn't receive immediate medical attention. He needs to get to Goldenrod but we cannot move him without the trainer or guardian's concent."

 

[Robert632]

Gerald watched Alex, Sid, and Lily conversed with the doctor. Probably about htta poor kid's Poochyena Gerald thought. As he continued to watch them, he saw the doctor pull Lily away from the other two. " Oh that's a terrible sign." Gerald muttered to himself, quietly walking over and joining Alex and Sid, if only so he'd be able to figure out how bad things were.

Eric stepped outside of the center and saw Gerald, Alex and Sid standing together.

Damn, the kid's pokemon must be worse off now.

He stuffed his hands into his jacket. His father wanted to fight him, the gang was split over Chell's betrayal and this new guy wasn't helping anything.

Also I'm not going to be too active but I'll drop in periodically now. I've got to graduate after all.

"Okay, you can take him." Sid mumbles from behind the man, "Just... make sure he gets better... he's my best friend."

The man smiled and placed his hand on Sid's head, "I promise you kid, your Poochyena will be good as new in no time."

Without any other words, he ran back into the back room. Several moments later five men came running out, one pushing a cart; and the other three holding bags that had little tubes running into the cart. Sid looked away and grabbed Lily's hand but another man came and corralled them to an ambulance.

"Alex! We're going to Goldenrod, we'll meet you guys there!"

Eric shouted to Sid:

"Take care kid!"

We all have battles to fight, in one form or another I guess... I hope those legendaries we hear so much about take pity on that Poochyena.

He sighed and turned to face the woods.

"I'll be damned if I'm going to run away."

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex gave Sid and the others a thumbs up "Meet'cha there then. I'll have to give ya the tour then. All righty then. Shall we... head out?" He gestured with his thumb. "Honestly we should get moving!"

Eric tossed out Dash.

"You ready? Even if we lose buddy, I'm not going with him."

Dash barked although Eric could tell he wasn't looking forward to the battle.

"Yeah..."

 

[ZapperX]

In the ambulance, Lily pulled Sid close to her and held him gently. She felt him lightly sobbing into her shoulder, so she stroked his hair gently and murmured to him, "It'll all be ok... I promise, everything's gonna be ok."

She glanced over at where the Poochyena was resting. A male doctor, a Happiny, a Chansey, and a strange, pink, elephant like Pokemon with large ears stood over it, making sure it stayed in a somewhat stable condition.

Outside, Lily heard a crack of thunder. She felt Sid shake. Half of her was scared with him, while the other half wondered if Raikou and Suicune were somewhere nearby, causing this storm.

Gerald, ecstatic that they would be leaving soon, chirped" Yeah, let's just grab our pokemon and get outta here."

I've been busy taking care of my mother, who has been recovering from a bout of cancer. I am back now.

Darrel sat on the other side of the Pokemon Center, watching. For once he thought he'd finally had a chance to get her to show a little sympathy, when some sort of idiot butted in and made her run off. She was back now, but she looked busy. He saw the others leaving for Goldenrod, and wanted to go with them; he stayed, though, for some reason. He was going to try one last time, before he went.
