Bob turned to gereld 'well yes otherwise this will be very awkward just standing next to a person who I want to smack senseless' Bob took a moment to think of which pokemon he was going to use, 'ha yes! I will use cubone 'I think we should battle in the forest' Bob walked confidently out of the pokemon centre to a clear patch of grass in the forest close to the city, he then released cubone who was still upset about missing the team rocket member 'don't worry you get a fight now'Bob said to cubone which made cubone cheer up nearly instantly.

Gereld followed Bob quickly, and when Bob released his Cubone, Gereld Nodded at it. " I hope you can fight Joey." Muttered Gereld as he let out The Slakoth, who stood for a moment before flopping on the ground. " Slaaaak" Sighed Joey in contentment.

'I will go first cubone use false swipe' cubone only learned this move recently and Bob knew this means he will evolve soon, the cubone charged at joey smacking in an upwards motion joey's chin.

"They're at war with each other. I'm willing to take my chances in Mossdeep rather than stay here with Rockets crawling everywhere. I ran into another traveler who said Olivine city was under Rocket control... It's only going to get worse from here on out and" he turned to Eric "I'm going to protect the ones I love."

"I'm not afraid of the Rockets Dad."

"...what happened to you?" he said, noticing Eric's bandaged arm. Eric remained silent.

Lily gave the new boy an annoyed look as she walked back to the counter, beckoning Darrel to follow her. As she moved her fingers, she felt the cracking of the dried blood that ran up to her elbows. She figured that she would wash her hands in the meantime, since no nurses were showing up. She looked back to Gerald, watching the two boys leave the makeshift hospital. She turned on a faucet behind the counter as she began to Darrel, "How's your Gastly holding up from Chell's Munchlax? And as a matter of fact... How did that thing manage to hurt our Gastlies? I thought that moves like punches don't affect Ghosts."

Alex had moved away from Jason and padded over to the Lily and Darrel. He moved a little more loudly to make sure the two wouldn't be surprised. "That's actually pretty easy. Its Odor sleuth. It makes moves like the punches and stuff, hit its target. Sorry if I'm butting in..."

Joey took the attack stoically enough, giving the Cubone a calm look while standing back up." Joey, Scratch before he can retreat!" Called Gereld. Joey scatched downward, scoring a minor hit on Cubone's arm.

"Uhh, Azalea was..." Sid said before Eric could speak, "You should probably see for yourself..."

'cubone use bone club' cubone quickly swung his thick club directly against joey's face with all his force.

"No, you aren't Alex," Lily said with a smile as she shook her hands dry. "I'm just worried about how ridiculously overpowered Chell's Pokemon are... especially if we have to fight her again."

"Yeah... That..." Alex looked down as if ashamed. "I'm sorry..." Horus hopped in and bleeted. "Yeah. But she had surprise on her side. We weren't expecting her..." He paused for a couple seconds. "Betrayal." He spat out the words like they were poisonous.

The Attack knocked Joey flat on his back, and though he did not stand up, he was still concious enough to continue fighting. " Let's try that Yawn of yours" Cried Gereld.

The excitment Gereld had gained from this battle quickly turned to a small bit of confusion, as Joey just flat out ignored him in favour of playing around with his fur. What the hell is this? Gereld thought, distracted momentarily from the battle to wrestle with this new problem.

Eric looked away from his father.

"I don't need your protection anymore."

"You look a lot worse for wear! Eric, I am your father!"

Eric turned to look him in the eye.

"Yes, you are my father. But you weren't there when times were good were you? Just ship me off to Sprout tower so you can concentrate on your oh-so-important store and"

"Eric, if this is about your mother..."

Eric turned away.

"This is about me Dad. This last week I've learned more than from any of your lessons. And I'm not running from the Rockets... We need to stand our ground."

The silence of the forest returned, apart from the sound of a single Goldeen splashing around nearby in the creek. Dash looked at Eric's father curiously.

'use bonemerang' cubone jump into the air and threw his bone against joey's belly after it hit is belly it bounced off and then reversed its path in the air smacking joey in his belly again and then returning to cubone, he caught it perfectly.

" Scratch, Joey. " Called Gereld, At first relieved when Joey actually listened, but wuickly concerned after he watched his movements. Joey just sort of stumbled forward and scratched the air several inches in fornt of cubone, then falling face first in a dead faint. "So I guess you win them, Huh?" Said Gereld as he gently picked up Joey and looked to see if he had any particualrly bad wounds.

'uh thought he fight would last longer and don't worry about joey slaking off it is what they do but they have immense strength when they become a slaking or a relentless force if you keep them as a vigaroth' Bob then turned to cubone 'high five!' he and cubone then high fived, 'talking about evolutions have any of your pokemon evolved yet? and I think my cubone may evolve soon that is why I was actually hoping for a longer fight'

" None of mine have evolved yet. And, as I said Joey's rather new, so it's no surprise he lost so quick." Gereld said as he returned Joey to his ball. Thank Arceus all Slakoth do that. For a second, I thought he wouldn't listen.
I won't be on for awhile due to a virus on my computer, so just auto Gereld along or something.

"You feel you know more about the world than I do? Then lets settle this. Prepare to battle."

"So you know you can't win?"

Eric's eyes blazed with resurfacing rage.

"No, I was just in a massive brawl with Team Rocket. I need to heal my Pokemon. Come on Sid, lets see if Pooch is better. I'll deal with him later."

He started to walk away, tears coming down his face.

Why did he have to mention Mom? I... I didn't need that today.

"Okay..." Sid nodded and followed Eric away. He made sure not to look back at Eric's father and nearly tripped over a rock.

Darrel had tried multiple times to respond to Lily, but was continually interrupted by various people. Finally able to get a word in, he spoke quickly to ensure he would not lose his opportunity.

"Puck's holding up well. I don't know how Chell's Pokemon managed to hit us, but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't have happened. But, you mentioned something before, that Sid could just catch another Pokemon if his died..." his face twitched a bit under his glasses, into a concerned expression. "Like, is that really what you believe?"
