Of course, Thor and Loki were clearly something beyond my experience of normal humans, and I'd be almost comfortable acknowledging them as demi-gods." As he spoke, he noticed Seras's discomfort.
"It's a bit of a worry, I know. How could it not be, given the kinds of stories you always heard of vampires, before suddenly meeting a real one? But I don't think you can assume someone to be a monster just based on some old folk tales. Joanna, whatever else she might be, seemed to be a good kid, and the vampire... well, if I have the right person, I didn't get a bad feeling from him either. I think my instincts are usually pretty accurate, so I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt for now. Maybe you should too, if you're dealing with them."
