The woman nodded. "It's a temple, so yes. Father Ysha will still be inside."
"This is the merchant's guild, yes." one of the men replied, as they turned to look at EMily. He looked her over as he asked, "What can you do?"

"The Far East? I guess I was half right, then." the woman replied. "The Gemstone Festival is an elf thing, right?"

"I worked full time as a maid doing cooking and cleaning in a house of 20 for 10 years. I can also do repairs on machinery and am a skilled researcher." She said confidently.

Homer looked excited, then went into the temple. He looked around, paying close attention to the architecture within. Jane followed, to keep him in sight and give herself something to do.

Heno was about to nudge Topaz as to not say something stupid... Before he was shocked that Topaz was the one stopping Aqua. He gave a nervous laugh. "Ha, Ha! Yes, me and friends are both from glorious Imperial Empire to Far East! Isn't that right He Xiangu," Heno said gesturing towards Aqua "And my other friend Lan Caihe" Geturing towards Topaz. He said while giving a look that said for the gems follow his lead.

It took her a moment to register what happen due to how bizarre it was, but once she noticed the lack of moonlight, Timea let out a surprised yelp, fumbling around in the sky for a moment, before steadying herself out. Looking around frantically to see if she could spot what had caused the eclipse, finding nothing but near-total darkness.

Beginning to feel rather scared, Timea pushed herself to fly as fast as she could manage, being thankful she at least knew where she was going.

Robin was tempted to follow Homer in, but decided he should stay and watch Heno's ruse, partly out of responsibility and partially because it was funny.

Luckily for Heno, the names he chose sounded close enough to Kaisiri names that the woman didn't question it. "Nice to meet you all." she smiled.

As the ceremony had been completed, the crowd had mostly dispersed by this point.
As Homer entered the temple, he would see that, every 8 or so metres was an archway coming out of the wall, each one around a metre thick. Presumably, these structures were in place to support the roof. The hall was filled with benches, all facing the far end of the building and separated into two groups.
Between the two sets of benches was an aisle, leading up to a raised platform, upon which was an altar. Sitting in the altar, was a straight sword, with the handle slotted into a hole in the centre of the altar to keep the weapon upright. Most notable was the fact that the sword was on fire.

Standing near the altar was a Calibethan man, possibly in his forties, with his right arm outstretched. A woman was wrapping a bandage around the man's forearm. Both of them were wearing white robes with blue trim, though the man's robe lacked a right sleeve.

The merchants seemed relatively uninterested by EMily's skills, until she mentioned her understanding of machinery and research. "What is it that you research, miss?" one of the merchants asked.
As Timea flew over the ocean, the fire of the Temple of Calibeth in Palladein would shine like a beacon, illuminating the area around it. Further to the east was an even brighter fire, which Timea would just be able to make out. If she looked around, she might spot a couple more, similar, fires in the northern part of the desert.

EMily's eyes lit up at the opportunity.
"I primarily research physics, specifically in the areas of electricity, magnetism, and light. I've studied many metals and how electricity is conducted through it and how magnetism can be asserted onto it. I've also dived into researching optics and light. As well as the properties of electric charge and how it can be created and harnessed in machinery."

Seeing the flame lights in the distance, Timea focused primarily on the one in Pallendein, judging the light had to be the sword-shaped building she saw earlier, due to its location. Having thought it was a war monument upon first seeing it, Timea half wondered why it had been set on fire, and would have considered it had been done in an attack, if it weren't for the other beacons.

Without anything that let her judge which position was North, Timea thought the brightest fire she could see could be located in Calibeth City. Not thinking too much on it all, Timea committed the locations of all the beacons, and the distance between them to memory, and moved on, eager to get back to solid land, in the darkness.

"...Maybe let's naht ask tha townfolk 'bout anythin' if'n they're the type to set things on fire." Sibylla mused aloud to herself. "We kin prolly jus' find sumthin' ourselves, less chance'a gettin' set on fire that way." She started heading back they way they came.
Cybil nodded with Zephy's statement and followed her to the monument. Reaching the structure, she looked around the crowd for sign of her other companions, picking out Heno and Aquamarine probably rather easily, assuming the height of the average Calibethian wasn't around 7 feet tall, and made her way towards them. "Hey guys!"

Hillary nodded to Sybilla's comment adding in shortly after a "Ya... fire's scary."

Hillary would follow along with Sybilla looking at the different terrain, still not sure where they should be trying to go to sleep, but with the night basically near pitch black, she was getting sleepy. Rubbing her eyes she looked back up at Sybilla. "We've been looking all over the place, did you find anywhere you wanna sleep yet?"

"Interesting... where is it that you do this research?" the other merchant asked.
As the average Calibethan was only 180cm tall, Heno and Aqua would indeed stand out quite a bit from the remnants of the crowd that were still around the temple.

"I conducted it in a research facility that was hosted by my father. It was a private school that hosted this lab. It was the same school where I worked as a maid."

After a few moments of thinking, one of the merchants asked, "Why would someone doing this research ever want to work for merchants such as ourselves?" His tone was curious, as though he was wondering what had forced EMily into her current situation.

Robin looked at Zephy and Cybil came over. "Hello there. Good to see you're alright."

OoC: Sorry for the late response.

"The people here don't like magical things, they might call the guards on us if they think we are magical! I may be able to take them on, but I would rather not be on the run from the law... Also I was thinking up code names for you anyway."
