"Not too bad. I got asked by the merchants to see if I had any ideas on improving their ship speeds. So I researched maritime technology, and created up with some notes on steam power that might be of use for mechanics. They've been using in wind power for quite some time, so I gave them a few hints, some leads into thermodynamics, as well as the foundations of the scientific method. And in return I got some money for us to go off of."

As EMily speaks, you feel your blood chill. All of a sudden you no longer feel tired and your mind races as you consider what effects this will have. "What's up with you?" Jane asked Shara, seeing how upset she was.

"I was afraid of this. I can show you to the merchants if you wish. The information hasn't been circulated yet, as I just left them. I was doing this for the merchants and I took the extra precaution of telling them they needed to experiment on these ideas before any applications are to be made. Are they more likely to do something else other than for merchant ships?" She said, worrying heavily.

EMily's face grew more concerned and serious. "No, I'm coming with you. This is my information, and I'll handle it as well." She started walking off hastily. "It's this way."

Jane and Homer follow Emily, already assuming something would go wrong.

"Sounds like an interesting job." one of the workers commented.

"Oh it has its moments. Anyways, this will be my first trip to this city, what can I expect when I arrive?" asked Yeager.

"First I'll try diplomacy. If that doesn't work, I'll try giving my cash back. Then I'll try demanding to see this up with the head of the merchants." She hastily marched her way. "And for the record, I don't want any ethical talks about sharing technological data to other countries. I've studied how technological breakthroughs happen on my world and how they give both good and evil things that no one could foresee happening. Everything from fire to atomic energy." Her voice became more heated as her eyes started to slightly glow cyan.

You tell her you weren't going to say anything, though you think to yourself that if she'd studied the same history as you have she'd never dare give any technology away. Instead, you tell her that she should tone down the glowing as that's apparently the local way to identify magic, which is illegal. You also try to convince her to let you deal with it; [color=0066cc]"Y'know, I can blend in much easier than you guys. It might not be good if they know we extradimensionals support the Kaisir. Besides, I'm probably more experienced at dealing with merchants, I've been a trader and courier for years."[/color]

OoC: Alright, I have to go to bed. If Shara manages to convince EMily she'll tell her and the others to go to the others and the diplomacy itself can wait. If not, she'll stay in the background until things go south.

EMily, still looking concerned, retarded her pace a little and took a breath. Her eyes then looked significantly more normal.
"You're right. I'll let you handle them." She put herself at a more steady pace towards the merchants guild.

Anik waited until Cybil and Robin had left,

then she went to meet with the priest.
"Hello father. Could you answer me some questions?

When EMily arrived at the guild, she would see nobody outside, and considerably fewer sounds or lights inside. The doors had been closed, likely due to the late hour.

In the Morning

"Lots of pilgrims, trees and plants growing everywhere and the temple at the centre looks amazing at noon." one of the workers responded. "It's pretty busy a lot of the time, especially in the market."

 

[Silence]

"I have heard that magic is illegal here. Can you tell me why that is?"

 

[Furioso]

Yeager nodded as the worker spoke. "A temple you say? Is it as... interesting as some of the others I've seen?" asked Yeager.

 

[Slenn]

While not apparent, a wave of shameful heat came over her.
"Dammit. We'll have to wait until morning."

"You don't know?" the priest asked, sounding a little shocked. "The Vesh'Rah used sorcery to publicly kill Crown Prince Calivane a few months ago. After that, it was made fully illegal. Originally, they were just going to restrict sky-metal, but the Vesh'Rah that did it don't need sky-metal, unlike the rest of their people."
