When ever Anik stumbled, Timea stopped pushing her along for a moment, so to not let her tumble down the stairs, but continued pushing her along the moment Anik regained her balance.
At Anik's response, Timea stopped walking, and laughed. "Oh, girl. If I'm a leech for simply eating, do never have another meal again, yourself. The cycle of life sustains of all, whether one chooses to treat it with respect or not."
Anik would fail to push Timea's hand off her shoulder, the grip staying firm. Anik would feel she was pushing against something incredibly dense, as the flesh of the hand didn't give way at all. Timea's response to trying to shove her hand away was to pull Anik in closer to herself. "Now, how can I be good, you ask? Do consider this, on my world, I was done great grief. At the hands of people like yourself. I could have responded by pre-emptively killing every human I came across. I did not. Even as they spread out over the years, raping the land for selfish gain, I never lashed out and spread ruin as they did to others. Because I understand the gravity that comes with taking a life." After saying this, Timea pushed Anik back to an arms length, and headed out of the temple. "But that doesn't matter to you, does it? "Good" is simply saying "things I like". And I differ to much for you to ever meet that criteria."
Once outside of the temple, Timea looked around while sniffing the air. "As for the gods, you're right on that. But even if I don't believe in divinity, the effect these beings have on the land can't be dismissed. So, it would do me well to learn about them."
